Ordered 2 pairs of trainers at the beginning of September. Delivery was free and they arrived 4 days later, so far so good. But unfortunately they sent the wrong colour of one of the pairs of shoes. I contacted customer services by email to let them know and to ask if they had the correct colour in stock as they were a gift and needed soon. They responded the same day, apologised and confirmed the correct pair were in stock. I sent them back for an 'exchange' with a note on the form explaining the mistake and a copy of the emails. The return through Collect Plus was straightforward and free so that was good. A week later the replacement trainers arrived - but in the same wrong colour! By this time it was 2 days to my daughter's birthday so I knew she wouldn't be getting them in time, which was a disappointment. I sent another email to customer services, asking them to confirm the issue was fixed before I exchanged them again. After a few days with no word I sent another email, but I've never received a reply to either. Eventually time was running out to return them and as I'd had no communication I decided I might as well waste their own money and try exchanging them again. I got an automatic email confirming receipt of the return but over 10 days later, I'd had no exchange or refund. Finally I emailed again asking for an update. I received no actual reply, but the next day got an automated email saying my payment was being refunded.
So over a month after the initial order, after several unacknowledged emails, 2 trips to return them, and with barely any apology, I'm back to square one. But at least I have my money back.

Their lack of customer service and apparent incompetence in their warehouse means they fall far short of other online retailers. I would be wary of ordering from them again, and can't recommend them. If you need shoes within a time limit, e.g. at Christmas, I would definitely avoid and go elsewhere.

In summary -

Pros:
- Free returns and exchanges using Collect Plus
- Fast dispatch and reasonably fast economy delivery (4 days)

Cons:
- sent wrong colour twice. Didn't check the shoes they were sending out and didn't fix the problem after I'd flagged it.
- didn't have the actual colour I ordered despite assuring me they did and it being in stock on the website.
- rarely respond to emails. I got a reply to 1 out of 4 emails
- needed chasing to get a refund

Seems we all share something in common - apparently my order is out of stock. The email I received states this is "rare" but it clearly isn't. First time using clogs and will not use again in the future.

The cancellation was due to the item being displayed as in stock at the point of ordering, however at the point of picking the item had become out of stock.

The item you had selected has been very popular on our website as well as the different platforms we sell our products on and has now sold out. This discrepancy may be due to a short delay between an item going out of stock and our website updating, although we endeavour to ensure this information is always as up to date as possible.

This situation is rare, and although we never intentionally display items that are out of stock, however this occasionally happens to a small proportion of orders. We have therefore had no alternative but to cancel your order and can confirm that a refund has been issued.

Ordered a pair of doc martin's for my grandson. Order was accepted then next day got an email to say they were out of stock. Was told that this was due to the web page not being updated. Surely a company of this size would be able to have a website that showed the true quantities of their stock?

Ordered a pair of converse for my little one on Saturday. Got an email today saying the product has now sold out. That didn't stop them taking the money out of my account though. Why advertise you have the shoes when you can't deliver? Disappointed as they were a birthday gift for her. First and last time shopping with them.

I order two pairs, one pair of CAT boots, one pair of Converse. Ordered them, paid for them, got confirmation e mail, then at the end of the day got an e mail stating...'it doesn't happen, Often but we sold out, sorry!'
If it doesn't happen often then how did you sell out of both pairs I had ordered. I went online to check, and yes. Neither of them in stock. Totally ridiculous, not even an offer of a discount. Terrible site. Waste of time and effort
UPDATE: my partner ordered and paid for some boots and a pair of shoes for me a few days ago, to replace the ones they sold out of...guess what...sold out again, both pairs, days later!!! Avoid like the plague!!!!

I ordered a pair of Peter werth shoes via Amazon from cloggs ,when shies arrived they were damaged so I mailed amazon to complain ,then cloggs got in touch says to return but not clear on who was paying or how I was to return,emailed about three times no reply ended up.ringing them and was told oh you just need to return I ask if they can send me a return label oh no ill send one you can print off? That's OK if you use printers explained I don't have printer ? Well you ll need to get someone to print it off? Very poor customer service .,guy didn't sound very enthusiastic at all !

I have been a Cloggs customer for about 10 years and not once have I had cause for complaint. Everything I have ordered has been delivered extremely quickly and has lived up to my expectations. Cloggs is solid gold in my opinion.

Received some boots that were damaged and I called them up straight away, took ages to get through and eventually was told to email them pictures so maybe a partial refund could be given for the damaged boots. I emailed them but by then I changed my mind as I wanted all my money back so emailed them again and printed off return label which was very easy.

Emailed them again to let them know the parcel was on the way. Not once did I receive a reply from them ... Aweful communication via email throughout tbh. But via the phone the customer service advisors were very polite.

I received my refund the day they received the parcel (was 5 working days exactly from day of posting) however it didn't include the postage costs ... I called them up and they apologised and actioned a return of my postage costs asap.

Overall happy as I got all my money back but they lost a star due to aweful communications tbh and it made them look like amateurs and which made me feel like I was never going to get my money back (not a nice feeling when you buy expensive goods).

They seem to be ignorant of Distance Selling Regulations. I returned a pair of shoes and had the original delivery charge deducted from my refund until I pointed out this wasn't allowed. It wouldn't necessarily deter me from buying there again, but it would lower my 'trust'.

Cloggs have proven to me first hand to be professional and honest in serving their customers. Went beyond their duty to provide me with a first class service. Highly recommend Cloggs to all customers. You can trust them!

My order must have been despatched within minutes of it arriving last Saturday morning, as the shoes arrived, in perfect condition, at lunchtime on Monday. I'm very impressed, and will happily buy from Cloggs again.

I contacted Cloggs on the day of my delivery 04.06 to inform them they had sent me the wrong shoes and received a response asking for pictures, which I provided. After this I have had no replies. The returns procedure is time consuming and not as easy as other retailers. They received my goods 20.06, I had to contact them again on the 30.6 as I STILL had not heard anything. I am writing this review on the 06.07 as I have STILL NOT HEARD ANYTHING. Honestly, I think it is appalling that having sent several e-mails myself I have only had one response. The only reason I am leaving this review on here is because, having read previous reviews, this seems the only way of getting a response from the company!! The order number was 1199340

Delivery was delayed by a day due to Royal Mail. Cloggs both phoned me and emailed me with updates so I knew what was going on and credited postage straight away too. Polite and responsive 🤗

While writing this, I have ordered twice from Cloggs, and both times I have indeed been very satisfied. I mean, what more can you wish for? Cloggs website is very pleasant to maneuver around in, their pictures are good, it's easy to find what you're looking for, and they're good to inspire you. It's easy to order and pay, and they are very good at informing you about you order.
And! They use, I believe, Buzz Lightyear as carrier. From the moment they announce that they have dispatched an order till it's delivered at your frontdoor: 2 days! (and I live in Denmark). So, all in all, I can only say this: I am on my third order now - and I have been most satisfied with everything concernning these deals.

Very good price, service and a quick delivery. Very happy with purchase and would definitely recommend.

I had an issue with the £80 Hunter Chelsea boots ordered with Cloggs.
They were so tight that it hurt a lot on my ankles. I contacted Cloggs and was told to return them.
Firstly they apparently didn't receive my parcel. Luckily I had the tracking number. All of a sudden they found it (after two weeks!), and meanwhile a woman of the customer service emailed me that their expert team would investigate in the shoes and get back to me once they were done.
The next day I received my return parcel back! All it said was they were sorry but they couldn't do anything for me. So I called Customer Service and told them about my experience so far, in particular I was confused with the contrary reactions on my case within the company. Obviously one didn't know what the other one was doing.
The woman on the phone told me I couldn't return the parcel because I had attached the return label on top of the shoebox. Ridiculous! No one told me beforehand that I shouldn't do that, and that definitely cannot be a solution to decline taking care of my problem!
My further emails were just ignored.
Luckily Hunter then took care of me although I had not bought the shoes from them but from Cloggs. Nwo this is what I call excellent customer service Hunter!
And Cloggs - I have never received worst customer service, and I will never ever buy anything from you again and will let all my friends about it.
You should be ashamed about ignoring customer complaints - I should have sued you, but in the end it just wasn't worth the money and the time.
Anyway, very annoying and definitely to avoid!

Ordered online and paid, then told 24hours later that item is not in stock and unavailable to order. After an exchange of emails, they were very helpful and supplied a higher priced similar item without extra payment. Great customer service after initial problems, would buy again.

UPDATE:
I posted a review here on the cancellation of my order and also e-mailed Cloggs. I got a reply and they explained the situation (similar to their reply below). I would suggest for Cloggs to say specifically why they cancelled the order to avoid misunderstanding. I wouldn’t have had a problem placing another order had I known.

Anyway, Michael from Cloggs Customer Services was very gracious and patiently replied to my e-mails and amidst all the confusion offered a free next day delivery should I wish to reorder, which I did. I’m very happy with the shoes. As a buyer I would want to feel confident when making a transaction, that is, that all will be taken care of when something goes wrong. I can say I received that from Cloggs on this occasion. Thank you.

I ordered a pair of boots and I received a confirmation email on the day of ordering. However, the next day I received an email saying cloggs had cancelled my order. They gave no reason for the cancellation so I emailed asking why this had occurred but no one at cloggs has got back to me. I am yet to see if I will get my money back. Disappointing and not worth the hassle.
