Based on my recent experiences as a prospective buyer, I would strongly advise both buyers and especially sellers to avoid using Clyde Properties.
I attempted to arrange viewings with them on two separate occasions, and both interactions were consistently disappointing. Despite advertising “appointment only” viewings, they offered only open viewings. At the first property, it was clear that many attendees believed they had private appointments. The agent on site took no interest in the viewing, offered no information about the property, and repeatedly responded with “refer to the home report” to even basic questions. They appeared unfamiliar with the property and disengaged throughout.
A second attempt to view another property was just as frustrating. Although the listing went live early in the week, the only viewings offered were during working hours on Friday and Monday. Despite requesting an alternative time well before the closing date, they made no effort to arrange one.
Having sold a home through a different agency, the contrast in service quality was stark. Clyde Properties showed little willingness to work with buyers, and based on many other reviews I have since read, this seems to be a common complaint. For sellers, this lack of engagement is particularly concerning; an agency uninterested in supporting buyers will inevitably impact interest and offers.
With so many other agencies offering far better service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Personally, I will avoid properties listed with Clyde in the future, and it appears many others feel the same.

The team at Clyde Property at Byres Road were fantastic. The team were extremely warm, yet professional and provided an excellent experience overall. As years of previous experience as a manger in customer service, I wanted to make a special mention for Rachel's customer service which was exceptional. Clyde Property is an incredibly professional and well-organized letting agency, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. Throughout my tenancy, my property manager, Nathan Loya, provided exceptional service that was both timely and meticulous.

Whenever I submitted a maintenance request, Nathan was always quick to respond, efficiently coordinating with contractors to confirm repair dates and ensure every detail was handled smoothly. Beyond his promptness, he consistently went the extra mile by patiently reminding me of important property care and maintenance tips. This proactive guidance was instrumental in my successful check-out, where I received my full deposit back without any issues.

Nathan also supported me during the final stages of my tenancy by liaising with the energy company to provide the necessary tenancy termination documentation, which made closing my account a seamless process.

If I ever need to rent or buy property in Glasgow again, I will not hesitate to contact Clyde Property, and I will specifically request Nathan Loya to handle my affairs. He is a true asset to the company, and his dedication to his clients is truly commendable.

Everyone we spoke to was so kind and friendly and helpful. We had a tricky situation managing the sale of an empty property from many miles away after the death of a family member. The staff were just so helpful and made everything so easy and ensured a quick sale.

The office in Stirling dealt with our house sale. During our first conversation with their agent everything to do with the sale (advertising, sale, survey and photo costs) was fully explained.
All staff were professional and very friendly. Communication was great...they kept us fully informed of progress, all our queries were answered and more importantly when they said something was going to happen it did.

Our sale had many challenges and delays (not the fault of Clyde). Having only moved 3 times in 53 years we are not experienced in house sales. Throughout the protracted process Clyde property in Stirling gave us the benefit of their experience with good advice and a calming presence. I don’t think there are many people who don’t find buying and selling stress free. The end result was a selling price we were happy with. I happily recommend their professional service although I do hope never to buy or sell again.

I approached Clyde Property in Clarkston after responding to a house for sale in Coatbridge. I viewed the property, around 24 hours before the closing date was drawn. I made a competitive offer (over market value and asking price) when I arrived to view the property, the estate agent was extremely impersonal and didn’t even introduce himself, or tell me anything about the property. Twice I called the branch in Clarkston, to be met with poor customer service. The agent who answered the phone was dismissive, patronising and condescending and cut me off several times mid sentence. I was told the property was going to a closing date, and the agent had stated it’s still in the negotiation stage (which shouldn’t be the case with closed bids) there isn’t room for negotiations. The staff at Clyde Property, all seemed to be cut from the same cloth, impersonal, rude and unprofessional. And certainly lived up to the attitude and snooty stereotype of the “South Side”of Glasgow.

It took me to prompt about three calls to get access to the home report for the address. If it was my own property, I would be extremely unhappy that prospective buyers were being dismissed and not engaged with and having to fight tooth and nail for basic answers to a property they hoped to purchase.

You would have honestly thought, this was the first property these guys had ever sold. Abysmal service. I wouldn’t recommend or engage with them again, if I see them selling a property I like in future, I would probably just avoid it for an easy life.

This is the second time we have worked with Clyde Property in both the purchase of our new home, and sale of our current home. We cannot rate them highly enough. The professionalism, care and expertise of the staff is outstanding. At every step of the process, we were treated with respect and kept up to date on every aspect of what is, frankly, a very stressful and complex process. Singling out Jenny and Jeff at the Shawlands branch for being honest without elitist, warm without being patronising. Costs were reasonable, which in the current climate is essential, and the price point accurate which meant expectations were kept realistic. Everyone there works so hard to secure the best outcome for the client. Definitely an A class service! Laura
