My experience as a first-time buyer with Conveyancing Direct has been great. Claudia Bediako was my property lawyer, and I felt all my queries were answered promptly, and she guided me when required. I would highly recommend Conveyancing Direct to anyone if they are looking for a firm that will act promptly at highly competitive fees.

Sue was excellent throughout the process, very quick to respond to my queries, and really put my mind at rest that everything was in hand. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We instructed them for our property purchase and were delighted to complete in exactly three months. Stacey Lewis looked after our matter and provided a really high standard of service.
Communication was outstanding – 27 emails and lots of phone calls, all answered promptly, and we were kept in the loop the whole way. Stacey was patient and kind, taking the time to explain legal jargon in plain English so we always understood what was happening.
She was thorough with the contract checks, searches and identifying potential problems early. Every deadline was met, exchange and completion were handled seamlessly, and she pushed the transaction across the finish line promptly despite some last-minute adjustments on our side.

We used Conveyancing Direct for the purchase of our first home and were very happy with the service we received.

Our lawyer Gulcan T. was professional, knowledgeable and very supportive throughout the entire process. As first-time buyers, the conveyancing process was new to us and there were many things we didn't understand at the beginning. Gulcan took the time to explain matters clearly and helped us understand what was happening at each stage.

We particularly appreciated the communication and the fact that our questions were answered and our concerns were addressed. Having someone we could rely on made the whole experience much less stressful.

Firstly I am an estate agent so very anti solicitors from he start and I would imagine the hardest clients to please. I used conveyancing direct initially as I get staff discount. But how wrong was I, the sale was a divorce sale and a property was being tied in. Daniel was brilliant and very punctual. I have been extremely disappointed with my experience of Conveyancing Direct during my first-time purchase of a freehold property.

What initially appeared to be a straightforward purchase became increasingly frustrating due to the level of communication, delays and, ultimately, the additional charges appearing on the completion statement.

The overall conveyancing costs came to over twice the current national average for a freehold purchase, which I found extremely difficult to understand for what was, from my perspective, a relatively straightforward transaction.

What particularly concerned me was the way some transactions and administrative tasks appeared to be split into multiple separate charges. This gave me the impression that work which could reasonably have been treated as part of a single transaction was being broken down into individual fees, resulting in multiple charges being applied.

As a first-time buyer, I expected the costs and process to be explained clearly, particularly where additional fees were going to be incurred. Instead, I found myself having to go through the completion statement line by line to understand what I was actually being charged for.

I appreciate that some charges may be genuine and that conveyancing can involve additional work. However, I was left questioning whether all of these charges were clearly explained and disclosed to me at the outset.

Overall, I found the experience unnecessarily stressful and lacking in transparency. What should have been an exciting first property purchase became a frustrating experience.

Based on my experience, I would not use Conveyancing Direct again and would recommend that anyone considering using them obtains a very detailed breakdown of all potential additional fees before instructing them.
