Worse worse place to buy a dress I Oder my daughter prom dress since April 24 did not shipped my order yet my daughter need it for her prom on may 11 I’m so mad that I order from this place
awful experience, probably one of my top ten worst e-commerce experiences. know this what ever you money send them - you will never get back. at best if you jump through all the hoops and follow every rule you will receive store credit that is good for 6 months. it is so ridiculous that I wasn’t even aware a store could act like this. I don’t care what the emergency or how great the need - avoid stores with this sort of predatory policy. This may be a perfectly fine brick & mortar store - and I get the issues of people trying to return one occasion dresses - but they are basically just as unscrupulous towards their honest customers.
I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding. It took forever to even get a confirmation email that I had ordered it. I was afraid I'd ordered from a scam site. Eventually, I did get an email. Waited 2 weeks to get dress. I immediately knew it wasn't going to work & sent email for Return Authorization. They emailed me back saying it would take 72 hours for someone to send me the Authorization. I got it the next day but wasn't looking for it & didn't see it until 3rd day. You only have 5 days from the time they send you RA to send it back. I had to go to UPS; you can not use the U.S. Postal service. I had to take pictures of dress with tags on it, front & back, take pictures of box with UPS label on it, send picture of tracking, insure the dress & have someone sign for it when it was returned. This cost me $42!!! Now I get an email saying they received it but someone has to give it a thorough inspection to make sure it wasn't worn. I had it on for 2 minutes. Email says if it's in unworn condition, I will get a store credit. I just emailed them back saying I want a refund. Return policy says nothing about store credit instead of refund on a regular full priced dress. It's not a prom, wedding or quinceanera gown. It's just a plain gown. I'm praying a get a refund. I don't need a gown. I bought gown for wedding elsewhere. I would not order from them. Its extremely stressful!
Ordered my daughter’s prom dress from the website and it was at our door 4 days later!! The dress was beautiful and the sizing chart providing on the website was very accurate.

I ordered my daughters Senior Prom dress from Couture Candy. It took over 6 weeks to arrive after PROM. I constantly communicated with them and gave them a prom date of 03/30. The dress was delivered 04/02. I tried to return the dress. They gave me 24 hours to send them a picture of the tag. I was on a cruise and did not get the request until I returned two days after the deadline. Two weeks later they send me an email stating I had 14 days to return the dress after they told me I only had 24 hours. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Their stock comes from China not the USA.
If I could give a negative star I would. On 4/5/24 we ordered our daughter's Senior Ball dress from this scam site. The dress still hasn't shipped, let alone arrived. After several emails and phone calls where the lady refers to the "processing dept" and refuses to give any details on said "processing" we were told today (after being given the run around and begging for honesty for 20 minutes) that this dress and size were never available! What?! Now the same lady has to email the 'cancelation department" to ask if we can cancel this order that was never fulfilled? Then she had the nerve to ask us if there's another dress we'd like to order from them LOL. This is such a strange experience. Now my wife and daughter have to run around this weekend and HOPE to find a dress. What really bothers us is they lied for 2 weeks and if they were in the business of customer service they would've just been honest from the beginning and then helped us to get into another dress. Do not order from courturecandy.com, it is fraudulent.
Dress never came in time for my daughter's prom. I ordered it on April 2nd, 17 days in advance, as their website says 48-72 hours "processing time" and 5-8 days shipping. I even had to contact them and ask where the dress was after 9 days because I never received an email that it had shipped. They kept referring to their "processing" department for answers and finally told me it would not be here in time for my daughter's prom. I had multiple sites to choose from to order the dress and I chose wrong. I do not recommend because they ultimately had an opportunity to get it to me with express shipping when I contacted them on April 11th and they chose to wait for their "processing" team and waste valuable weeks.
Ordered my daughters prom dress 4/2/24. Order was still not processed on 4/11/24 but they charged my card immediately. They said dress was in stock. Paid $33 for express shipping. To be received in 3 days.They never answered the phone. Never sent confirmation. Cancelled on 4/11/24. They still have not refunded $260! They will not let you speak to a supervisor or manager. The only way to get them to answer is to pick the "place an order" option on phone menu? Lucky she found a dress at a local shop she needed by 4/19. I really hope there aren't any other girls out of a dress and their money for their prom! They didn't send any acknowledgement until I told them I called the Better Business Bureau and reviewed them on Google and Facebook. Hopefully we get the money back? Very shady company. I would recommend not ordering anything from them!
Ordered a dress on 5/31. Received an email stating they received my order and the next email would be with a tracking number. Up to 72 hours for processing, that came and went, numerous follow up calls and emails and a week later I am being told that I cannot cancel or I will only get a store credit even though they have not processed the order yet. No follow up after taking my money....I have done all of the follow up. Latest and greatest a week later is that they will follow up and get back to me, I ask when, and they say up to another 48 hours for a response. The 3 day air is the reason I chose this store, I should have paid a little more and went with another store. Concerned we won't get the dress in time for alterations. Terrible customer experience and false advertising!
I ended up spending 900$ canadian on a dress. Costumes and services to Canada was 106$! They refunded me 10% of the cost of the dress dress because it was too big (not true to size), and I did nit want to have to pay return fees + repay costumes if needed. But in chosing to fix the dress, it will cost me more than the 10% they refunded and it won’t be ready in time. I don’t recommend this seller to customers living in Canada. Save your money.
The dresses can be really difficult to determine your true size even when you use the size guide and you may get free shipping but you pay for shipping to exchange and return. All you get is store credit (which you know going in) but it is NOT WORTH IT. You can find beautiful dresses anywhere and the risk is too great to not be able to get your money back. I don't need more formal dresses so what good is a store credit now?
Beware of this company!!! I wish I could give this company a zero!!! I bought a gown from them and two days later I got a tracking number. But after 14 days, the tracking number never updated. I kept calling to see where the gown was 8 days before the event and they have no info on the shipping. Now it's 4 days before the event I have no gown. They told be they could ship it 2 day Air for $283 or next day for $389. I believe they did this on purpose to try and get more money out of me. Who pays that kind of money for shipping after they have already paid for it? They didn't know where the gown was but they can get it to me for an extra $300-$400??? BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Ordered a gown from Couture Candy. I followed their return process to a T, but to my shock, received store credit that was nearly $25 less than what I paid. The gown was $199, but I was hounded by customer service agents hocking 10% off codes to get me to finish my purchase faster, so with that 10%, the final cost of the gown plus the $14.95 shipping was $204. My store credit was $161.51. Now, if you took off the $14.95 from the discounted price, it would be around $185, but no, it was $161.
Their Returns and Exchanges policy states, “We provide full Store Credit as long as the product is received in new condition. Any original freight/handling cost is deducted from your store credit if shipping was complimentary at check out.”
My shipping costs were not complimentary as I still paid $14.95 for shipping. Complimentary by definition is free or something given without charge. As such, my shipping was not complimentary. Per the Couture Candy Returns and Exchanges page, free shipping is only offered on gowns shipped domestically when the cost is $299 or more. My final price at checkout was $204, hence no free or “complimentary shipping” was provided.
I spent an HOUR on the phone with customer service. I stopped counting the number of times the customer service agent and her supervisor said “the shipping cost is complimentary but it’s $14.95.” Their only response was that they paid the other $28 for shipping and handling, which is absurd because it only cost me $20 to ship back (no they do not provide labels to ship back, you pay). If their S&H is costing them $40-something for a single gown, something is off. But back to the original issue - $14.95 is DISCOUNTED shipping if they cover part of the cost but absolutely not COMPLIMENTARY.
Their Returns and Exchanges Policy is misleading and false. Per the customer service representatives there truly is no “complimentary” shipping, so this line on their Returns and Exchanges page is false: “Any original freight/handling cost is deducted from your store credit if shipping was complimentary at check out.” The sentence needs to end after “store credit.”
I’m stupidly frustrated and blown away by their poor business practices. I will not be ordering from CS again once I use my store credit as that is the only option I am left with.

Nothing but a bad experience. Found the exact dress my daughter had found in our local dress shop but the local shop did not have her size. Ordered her size from Couture Candy. Website says 48-72 hours to process. When I had not received any shipping info I contacted them through chat. Waited 90 minutes and no help. Then got an email saying they got my order. Well that’s helpful. lol. Then got another email asking me if I received it (even though I had not even received any shipping info). Then a week to the day I get an email saying they don’t have the dress in the size I ordered. If you don’t have that size in stock it should not let you order. So ridiculous. Then they asked me if I wanted another size. Again. Ridiculous. Lost a week’s time trying to find a replacement now. Stay away from Candy Couture.
The first thing you need to know before ordering from them is that they only offer a store credit on returns. So that's risky, but they do clearly state that policy. But they make the return process incredibly burdensome - you have to send them pictures of the dress, front and back and tags attached, and pictures of the return shipping box on which you have written your return authorization number. You also have to send the return UPS or FedEx with signature authorization required. And then when they finally issue your store credit, they deduct from that credit the amount they claim they would have spent to ship you the dress in the first place. For shipping one dress, with no expedited shipping requested, they deducted $42.95 from my store credit!! So here's the math: I bought a dress for $318, spent $34.20 to return it to them, and received a store credit for $275.05 (318 - 42.95). The bottom line is that it cost me $77.15 (34.20 + 42.95) for the privilege of trying on the dress. And - to add insult to injury - anything purchased with the resulting store credit is not returnable at all! Buyer beware.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever! False information, (the email said my dresses had arrived, I only received one), wrong price advertising (the price changed at the time of check out, don't waste your money on expedited shipping. I finally got a hold of the manager after few attempts, and he made it sound like as if he was doing me a favor answering my call. No buddy, that's your job! I told him all the wrong information I've been receiving via email and the rep, he didn't care much.
BUT, I've ordered dresses from them in the past and had no issues. Perhaps ownership changed or management team changed.
