The girl who served me was excellent in that the product that I wanted was not in stock but she said that she would check her system and found the product that could be uplifted from a near by store within 25 mins

Excellent service as always

The two guys called in advance and arrived when they said they would. They were polite and professional and one of them even showed me how to just use the spinner, very impressed.

Very reliable helpful staff would use again

One star — payment instructions ignored, extra charges and no resolution

An extremely frustrating experience with Currys, made worse by the service I received when I tried to get it resolved.

I went into the store to buy a £799 phone using my Creation finance account, which has a £650 credit limit. I clearly explained that I wanted to clear my existing PlayStation disc drive balance first and pay the additional amount needed for the phone.

The colleague asked me to pay approximately £304. I paid believing my instructions were being followed. Instead, the entire amount went towards the phone as a deposit, leaving the PlayStation balance unpaid.

The online account service was unavailable when I tried to check, and when I eventually gained access, I discovered approximately £30 in additional interest or charges.

When I returned to the store, I was told Currys cannot accept payments towards an existing Creation balance. Why wasn’t that explained BEFORE taking my money, when I had specifically said what I wanted to pay off?

My attempts to resolve this in store got me nowhere. I asked to return the phone and get my deposit back, but was refused because it had been opened. I felt my complaint about how the transaction was handled was being brushed aside.

I have wasted time chasing a resolution, faced unexpected charges and been left worrying about whether this could affect my credit file.

I have now raised a formal complaint requesting that Currys accept the phone back, refund my deposit, arrange cancellation of the phone finance and resolve the resulting charges.

Taking a customer’s money should come with clear explanations and accountability when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Currys.

The delivery came on time that they give me, they were friendly they explained everything to me.

Fast and efficient delivery of new fridge. They took off transit tapes from outside of new fridge and connected in situ. Only negatives were that the inside tapes were not removed and fridge not levelled properly so probably would have expected that for what it cost extra. Guys were literally n the house for a few minutes. Otherwise ok.

Everything went smoothly staff very attentive got next day delivery

The whole process was easy. Communication was brilliant. Delivery staff were great.

I received excellent customer from TJ in the Coatbridge store. He advised me in detail on specifications and helped me decide on what was best for me. He was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Delivered earlier than expected, two young men who delivered were very polite and disconnected old machine and connected new one in around 15 minutes. Very clean and tidy. Great service.

We had issues with the two items we brought £716 pounds worth. The thing that really frustrated us was your customer service, so hard to get to where you want. We ended going to the back to the store we brought from and even the sales assistant found it difficult speeded your being transferred and get cut off and then have to repeat yourself again . There was another system that could be used but that meant curry’s sending us a link and then it meant we had to go home video the fault and then drive back to the shop again, surely there is an easier way, it was so frustrating I just wanted to cry .

Visited on09/09 and 11/09 On each occasion sales experience was good Emma and Martyna knew their products and were very helpful and made sales All in all both visits were successful

Went to purchase a new ipad to replace a really old one . Was served by a lovely young man who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He advised me on which storage I should get and was very patient when I was struggling to get onto my wifi to validate my payment . He didn't rush me or pressure me in any way . Whilst waiting I enquired about Sky glass tv and he was also very helpful and knowledgeable about those also . I ordered my ipad and ipen and was kept up to date in delivery . I picked them up 2 days later and again was served by a very pleasant young lady .

Megan in the Coatbridge store was amazing. She got my issue fixed in minutes. I didn't even get home & I had Hotpoint on the phone confirming my repair.
