I brought a laptop from you guys and it works great. But, when I was purchasing it from the store, the staff I talked to were very pushy and we're trying to get me to buy all the extras of which I already had. Even after I explained I had Norton for VPN and security, the worker kept insisting to the point I had to say I'm sure I don't want it like 3 times. To add, it wasn't made clear that I had to buy my own charger separately so I left and had no way to charge it until I purchased one online. Even though I spent nearly £700 I didn't get a charger with it. Quite ridiculous to be honest.

Seemed to be under-staffed but great service overall
I like the approach. Although I was only offered or rather shown one option over a variety. That felt like my price range was already pre-determined from observation.
Was only offered a hard copy receipt despite requesting for an e-receipt on email.

Easy ordering, poor customer service
Easy ordering, and collect from store was available earlier than expected. Excellent prices for items I bought.
Problem, though, related to how disorganised the store appeared to be: No obvious collection queue; lots of staff standing around doing nothing; no acknowledgement when entering the store, or while waiting to be served.
So, positive review for Currys online, but the St George's Leicester store is a massive negative.

Ordered online as it was available at my local store in Leicester for collection. Email received to collect item with in 1 hour from local store. Very helpful Staff at my local store.

Excellent in-store service
Enquiry just inside the door got me quickly directed to the right assistant for my needs (Mussa Mohamed) who was himself quick to pick up the details, gave me time to myself to decide which particular brand & model to buy, explained clearly the purchase options and replacement/recycling/fitting regime, & helped me through finalising the procedure, sympathising when the system said I was too old at 88 to qualify for the interest-free hire-purchase plan (something that might be corrected with a different credit provider such as the one I’ve recently been able to use in buying a new & expensive hearing aid). The items purchased have not yet been delivered & the replacement & fitting done, so I can’t give feedback on that part of the process nor on the quality & operation of the job itself
