Poor, poor service & treatment
Washing machine ordered including installation. Installation saw water leaking from pipework. Also discovered components of machine missing. Customer services disinterested. Telephone advice was go to shop. Shop advice was 'wish they would stop doing that - we can't help'

My new vacuum sucks (as it should do). Currys service doesn't.
I was in need of a new vacuum cleaner. I had already identified the make and model I wanted, and Currys had them in stock. Easy to order, and I was able to collect the item in store within a couple of hours. The staff member at the collections desk was polite, and the item was immediately available for me to take home.

I can’t speak highly enough of Olive…
I can’t speak highly enough of Olive the assistant who helped us in Nottingham Castle Marina store. The first occasion was to purchase a washing machine on the 7th July 2026. The help, care and advice she gave us was above and beyond.
When our vacuum cleaner broke down we were thrilled to see that Olive was on duty and again gave us fantastic advice. This was on 18th August 2026. We had purchased a tumble dryer on 29th June 2026 (that’s another story for a different review) he was no Olive, we paid £289 for a dryer totally unsuitable for me. We received Such bad advice. Olive spent time explaining what she thought I should have purchased and as a result we purchased the one she recommended. If only we had seen Olive for the purchase of a heat pump which we are now stuck with trying to sell. Please, please train everyone to Olive’s standard.

Shocking design flaw & atrocious service – Broken on 2nd use, store went back on CS promise!
I purchased an Electrolux vacuum cleaner from Currys in January and only unboxed it recently after moving house. On just its SECOND time of light, normal use, the joint between the handle and cylinder body suddenly snapped while I was carrying it! This is a dangerous structural defect and a clear failure in Electrolux's quality control.
What makes Currys' service disgraceful is their dishonesty. I called CS today （18th August）, explained the situation, and was given a reference number allowing me to bring it to a store for a repair/replacement/refund. Yet, when I arrived, the store staff refused to even check the reference number! She dismissively blurted out "not covered" without even examining the broken product or checking the system.
CS makes promises over the phone, and store staff ignore them while treating customers like trash. I spent my hard-earned money on a product that broke on its second use, only to be lied to and stonewalled.
Solid 1-star. Absolutely unacceptable. I demand a full refund and an official explanation from Currys.
