Care & Repair Contract Breach - 14 Days Waiting and Shocking Misinformation
I am writing this review in total frustration after a clear breach of my paid Currys Care & Repair contract. On the 26th of August, I dropped my Sony item off at the store for repair. Under the Care & Repair terms, Currys guarantees a 7 Day Fix Promise. It has now been 14 days, and my item hasn't even been collected from the store to be repairded.
The timeline of my experience over the last 48 hours is entirely unacceptable. Yesterday, I visited the store for an update and was turned away because the "system was down." I returned today and staff initially tried to tell me they needed to completely re-book my item for repair. When I pushed for details, they admitted that Sony had refused to repair them in their service center (or they didn't have access to the service channel), and they wanted to re-book it to try again. This would have fraudulently reset my 14-day wait back to day one to cover up the service channel failure and the store's administrative errors.The Store Manager then explicitly misinformed me, claiming the 7 days only starts once a courier collects it. When I confronted her with Currys' own terms and conditions, she changed her story again, claiming she had done all she could and I must wait for "Medics." To make matters worse, your phone lines cannot process a write-off because the store completely failed to log the booking correctly in the system on the 26th of August.I have already escalated this to your executive support team and registered a formal phone complaint. I expect a senior customer resolutions manager to contact me immediately to issue the equivalent gift card I am contractually owed, along with compensation for the severe inconvenience and four wasted store visits.

I recently bought a TV from currys
I recently bought a TV from currys. The experience was fine. The was nothing outstanding or terrible during my purchase. I bought a TV that I took away with me. It was a shame I could not choose from a larger stock of TVs but I found something that suited me that I could take away that day. Had there been someone with more knowledge I may have bought a more expensive oled TV but the staff were unable to really advise me in this area. Thus I bought a cheaper TV to tide me over until I can do some proper research.

Helpful in the shop, had the product I wanted at a reduced price, arranged delivery the following week, straight after Bank Holiday and excellent delivery and fitting service by polite and knowledgeable chaps.
