Where do I begin?
I am a natural brunette who is now greying. For years I had my hair coloured at salons using PPD/PTD.. I always had a reaction but noone told me to stop. I just thought since I have eczema, it was just a painful side effect. It became so severe that I knew time was up on my blacky brown locks. And then I found Daniel Field. He has helped me use his watercolours, tinkering it until it's just right. I cannot believe the service that this man gives. I cannot thank him enough for his care, dedication and insight. And now I intend to order his hair loss spray as I am losing more than usual.
Daniel, you are an amazing person. I thank God that I have found you. You have given me hope and helped me feel like me again.🙏

I called Daniel and showed him my hair on live chat. He knew immediately what I needed. He sent me my products, including Mineral Colour 3.66, which is called Damson. I really love the natural look that Water Colour gives and I have even become brave enough to do it myself as it is so gentle! Having tried other hair colours in the past in order to cover the greys this is by far the best, both because it is so natural and also because of the lovely colour, I wouldn’t use anything else now!
Daniel has been so helpful and generous with his time on the video consultations, as well as being extremely knowledgeable when I mentioned the meds I am on.
Aswell as all of this I have been searching for ages for a natural solution to the stress eczema that my son gets on his face and over the years have tried many different creams - none of which worked, so thought we would try the Dry Skin Healing Cream - what a difference! Within 2 days it was hugely improved and after a couple more it was hardly noticeable. My son loves it as it doesn’t aggravate his skin or feel greasy.

I had a very bad experience a few years ago. At the time it wasn't possible to leave a review.
I usually saw Daniel but this time had an appointment for colour with Laura. I had grey roots and the rest of my hair was very faded. She started by looking at the grey roots and said 'That's really bad' in a tone of disgust. She put the dye all over my hair, although I said that she should not treat the roots and the already dyed hair the same, as I had been told by the manufacturer of the dye that if hair was already dyed colour should only be applied to it again for two or three minutes. I also said that my hair was very porous.
She put the dye onto my face as well, an inch of dye all round my hairline. When I asked her not to she said that I had a very low forehead, which didn't make sense as I don't and she wasn't just putting the dye on my forehead anyway but all round my face. I was seriously ill at the time and did not want any more dye on my skin than necessary. Eventually another member of staff gave me some solution to remove the dye from my skin and I did it myself. I had to remove a lot of my make up when I did this.
When the dye was removed from my hair my hair was almost black rather than medium brown as it should have been. I complained and Laura said that it was not true that it was almost black. She nevertheless asked another person to do something to lighten my hair, and I heard her say 'Don't spend too much time on her hair', emphasising the 'her' as if I was a piece of rubbish. She also told the staff member to take me to the back room when finished, although I had a seat in the front room and my bag, book etc. were there. The treatment was done and I was taken to the back room, then while my hair was being dried Laura left the person she was working with at least twice and stormed through to make unpleasant remarks.
The next day I phoned to complain. Anna answered the phone and told me that she knew all about what had happened and that I had upset Laura. She said that Laura had been correct to leave the dye on for 45 minutes as otherwise the grey would not have been covered. I explained that most of my hair had not been grey, and that it had just been faded.I asked her to ask Daniel to call me but I don't think she did as he didn't call me.
I then wrote a letter and Daniel go back to me quickly. He couldn't have been more apologetic and said that the way I had been treated was appalling. He said that Laura was not his staff member but a freelance and that he would speak to her.

My daughter had the most amazing highlights and cut from Zack last week. He was brilliant- sensitive, friendly and really knew his stuff. She has very, very sensitive skin and has been nervous about having her hair coloured since a traditional salon patch test burnt her skin. The highlights not only look lovely they were perfect for her skin, with absolutely no side effects or 'tingling'. Zack also cut mine and my daughter's hair and we will both be regular customers from now on.

A few years ago I came to Daniel Field's Salon in Barnet as a very nervous client to have my curly hair cut, I had several stylists in other salons cut my hair and I wasn't impressed as I had an additional problem, the top of my head was almost bald, the stylist was generous with her time and cut my hair very well, I happily became a regular client having my hair cut and coloured, the condition of my hair improved with colours created by Daniel, after a few visits I spoke about my unhappiness about how thin my hair was on the top of my head, the condition is called androgenic alopecia, I said that I was considering having transplants as I didn't know what else to do, the stylist suggested that I spoke to Daniel, Daniel told me he had just created a product for this problem called Hair Growth Active (alcohol based) spray, I bought some and I started using it that evening, I have sprayed it religiously, twice a day, through my hair, onto my scalp, it has reversed my hair loss, before I was a slave to the hair dye because I thought the colour hid my scalp, I thought that without colour I would look like a dandelion clock, now my head is covered in hair, no scalp visible, this gives me joy on a daily basis and raindrops don't land on my scalp any longer which had made me miserable; I continue to use Hair Growth Active spray twice a day because I would be so unhappy if my hair went back to how it was before. I am grateful to Daniel Field for all his thoughtful innovation.

I am so glad I found Daniel field and his products I have tried the water colours and still use them for regular top ups my hair is so much better condition now. I use the detox after apply root tint as I have sensitive skin and I almost instantly feel the relive big fan of this product.
Recently I tried the seaweed lighter to add a few highlighters for the summer and I was amazed that it contained no ammonia in the fruity booster and lighter both. My Hair felt so soft afterwards and lifted to a great level I will not be using regular bleach after discovering this, genius idea and I feel more relaxed colouring my hair from I found these products.
Daniel is always on hand to give out great advice and help with any queries which is very much appreciated.

I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to get Daniel’s help with my hair during my chemo journey. It was a tough time, just coming to terms with having cancer and needing to think about how to try and retain my hair during the gruelling chemo.

I’m hugely grateful to Daniel, for his kind care before, during and after my chemo. I totally believe that without his products my situation would be quite different.

I am so impressed with the service I have received from Daniel. I cannot believe the care and attention and advice offered. Whether I am allergic to the product is irrelevant. The fact that someone cares, gives hope and continues to work for all the allergic people is the best news I've had in some while.

Where do I begin! From the initial consultation with Daniel, to receiving the superb hair products through to the the application support and the after care, he provided a level of service and care I haven't experienced before in any salon. Daniel puts his heart and soul in to his work, he is a consummate professional and takes a genuine interest you as a person and catered for the product/ health related requirements I had.

After years of dying my hair with 'more natural', 'less toxic' dye brands, Daniel Field's was such a great surprise. The color is so much more natural, just as long lasting and absolutely NO itchiness or chemical smell, which for me proves that even the less toxic brands are still toxic enough.

My targeted therapy cancer drug changed my hair texture and left it wiry, dry, dull and hard to manage. I had a great online consultation with Daniel who recommended particular products (with no hard sell!). I didn’t really think they would make a huge difference but I have been genuinely surprised and delighted! After one treatment my hair returned to a smooth texture and was so much easier to brush and style. At least 6 weeks and many washes later, the results are still there. I was so sad after I developed severe allergy (with swollen eyes and face beyond recognition) after I coloured my hair. The pain was horrible.
