The ladies in Customer Service Edinburgh Store are just so very lovely and helpful

The site in Edinburgh is well stocked however, prices are at times against smaller garden centres not competitive.

Lovely birthday treat for both my husband and myself!!!

Edinburgh Dobbies is a great place to browse, shop and eat

Staff are always polite friendly and helpful Even though the restaurant staff are always very busy, they always have a smile.

Breakfasts are superb -
Such variety under one roof for Christmas shopping and having Lakeland onsite for cooking utensils etc for the big cook on 25th !

My family and I ate in the Lasswade Dobbies restaurant on Sunday and I wanted to commend the staff (namely Owen).
Times are very hard for a lot of people right now and we rarely eat out, but this week was an exception.
We were greeted by a young employee who had such a great nature with our kids and family.
He spent time discussing a book that my daughter was reading and how he remembered it from his primary days.
Thank you Owen for making our lunchtime and inspire my daughter to read more of the same.

First visit back since March where we were met with dirty stained furniture and unacceptable excuses regarding staffing, bought in cleaning services.
Well I thought let’s treat my daughter to a hot chocolate, I haven’t used my club plus drinks since March and thought really why am I paying a monthly subscription so we went to Dobbies Lasswade ( Edinburgh) it’s our local and the hot chocolate didn’t disappoint sadly I could say the same for the seating I can’t upload photos but are available the only blessing as my daughter is blind she didn’t see the awful stained sofas, staff are embarassed. I have emailed Dobbies again and sent photos I can’t wait to hear their excuse this time, I have a full paper trail since March.
Dobbies team I have contacted directly and await a reply..

Visited Dobbies dalkeith on Mon.afternoon 27th Nov 23 and each visit recently the store seems to be going downhill on each visit. Eg prices of plants getting ridiculously pricey. Cafe not much better with expensive cakes and lukewarm coffee and only the serving area at the soft play area open and waiting 20mns to be served. Used to be a butcher and nice deli but all gone now for months. Very disappointing!! Also appeared to be lack off staff. Management dept. In need of sorting out.

Tried to make an order for delivery online and an error message came up. Called my local store in Edinburgh and was told that I had to place my order through John Lewis!! Why?? Tried to order through John Lewis and they didn't have the items I was trying to order. Tried to change to click and collect and nothing happened. Called customer service who advised that I give them a copy of the error message so that they could pass it to the relevant department and get back to me. All in all, was unable to make an order and was given no help to place the order.

Dobbies in Edinburgh is amazing! Lots of items for sale. Gift ideas, clothes, food and plenty of utensils and kitchen equipment! The large restaurant is always busy and there tends to be a queue to get seated. The staff work tirelessly and no matter how difficult it gets, they stay cheery!

Service in restaurant was excellent. Breakfast well cooked. Disappointed the toast wasn’t the usual one which is my favourite.

Tried a cream scone for the first time today and was really disappointed with it. I don’t know what the cream is made of but it has a very bad aftertaste and the scone was as dry as sandpaper. Only positive is the pleasant staff.

Well stocked and extremely clean. Got exactly what I was looking for.

I had arranged to meet a friend at the soft play today - but even if they are half empty you have to book 24 hrs in advance, you cannot go in before 2.30 if you haven't pre booked, and when I tried to phone on the same day first thing in the morning they also wouldn't take a booking by phone as the computer wouldn't let them - I would understand if they were fully booked but this is the most unadaptable process for people with young children i have come across. It makes me never want to cross the threshold again.... well done for isolating your customers Dobbies and behaving like you're stuck in the dark ages,,,

Love Dobbies at Edinburgh by far the best great service choice and the best treacle scones.
