Dishonest fee charges
I recently rented a car with Drivalia through Expedia and the experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival ive been charged 35 pounds "check in fee" as u was supposed to do before picking up the car (ive never been told about it during the booking process). After paying the fee, they stated they didnt have the small car i requested and provided me with a big car.
However, when I raised it with Expedia, Drivalia had the audacity to say the charge was regarding an upgrade and not the fee (even though I sent the invoice to expedia).
It is dishonest and awful. The lack of transparency and lie is terrible and I would never recommend drivalia to anyone.
Be careful when renting with them!

First class service
First class service. Great value for money. Hired a car for £81 for 5 days and handed back really straight forward. Just make sure you have all the documents they ask for ready when taking your car out. Many thanks to Gary.

Good and fast service at pick up
Good and fast service at pick up. Only issue was pick up was delayed by a could of hours because car wasn't ready. Fortunately I didn't have any plans so this suited me fine. Apart from that all good.

They scammers
They are scammers , it's happend with me twice, whenever i booked a car, they never give me that car, always said we don't have that car, you need to pay extra then we can give you other car.

Surprised
Drivalia was the only car company i would rent from. I have rented loads of cars from drivalia. I have built up over 1000 loyalty points.
Well until my experience yesterday. I am no longer a customer, I am going elsewhere now
The story is"
I booked my rental car.
I uploaded all of my documents, drivers licence, utility bills. Dvla check code.
I paid for the car, I turned up at the branch. I got a taxi to the branch £15. I was expecting to get a car, and drive off, i had to get a taxi back home, another £15. £30 down
Well" I was advised that there was a new rule, I needed to get a credit check, I was surprised that I didn't pass the credit check. Drivalia has never done a credit check on me before. Even the guy from the branch felt terrible I didn't get the car, the guy from drivalia knew I was a loyal customer.
I was told I couldn't rent the car, because I didn't pass the credit check.
Now I need to fight for a refund from discover.cars. the third party, that's the company I used to get the booking.
There was no details about a credit check when I booked my car rental.
Drivalia is going to loose customers, especially people coming from abroad looking to rent.
Just be aware, if you pay for a rental from drivalia, your money has left your account. You turn up at the depot, you might get refused a car, drivalia is now doing credit checks.
How it works works the credit check.
Their is ten teirs of credit check.
If your in the top 4 teirs. You will pass the credit check.
The thing that puzzles me is. I always leave £1,500 ont credit card as a security deposit incase of an accident. Why do drivalia need to do a credit check.
My credit score is good, I have credit cards, loans, I have never missed a payment on anything.
I was annoyed with drivalia. I
I have now decided to rent from green motion. Probably better rates than drivalia.
I hope drivalia stop the credit check part. Even disclose to people that yous will be doing credit checks.
After years of loyalty to drivalia, today was my 1st time using green motion. It was cheaper.
