We have used Dutton Gregory's Conveyancing Team on 3 occasions for property purchases and we cannot rate them highly enough. Not only are they knowledgeable but they are efficient and respond to any queries so quickly. Thank you Hirakshi for all the help once again

Lucinda worked for us on our sale and our purchase. She was very human, she had a sense of humor, and was very calm, kind and understanding whilst being professional. She explained what we needed to know at each stage and listened to what we wanted.

Having a larger firm was brilliant as I knew that someone would be available to us if we needed them. But as they are not too far away, I was still able to pop in with documents when I needed to. When I called in a panic as Lucinda was not around, her colleague had already dealt with the issue! I also loved the app which explained the stages of the sale and purchase, as it meant I didn't need to ask all the time what the next steps were.

I would recommend Dutton Gregory for conveyancing to anyone, and especially Lucinda

Helen helped me massively when my ex partner broke the court agreement and refused to comply to get me off the mortgage.
She was firm and efficient which is what he needed to get him to comply. It led to another court appearance where I represented myself (Helen supported me with all the information I needed to supply at court)
I am now off the mortgage and he paid all my costs incurred!

Both Hirakshi and Ayesha have been brilliant during our transaction, it's been so smooth and not stressful at all. Cannot recommend them enough.

The property team was excellent. I instructed them on selling a buy to let property. They were well structured and timely with emails and calls. I was using a Limited Company and they dealt with the extra steps for that. Would definitely use them again.

I instructed Dutton Gregory on behalf of my purchase and sale and received nothing but hassle. On numerous occasions I had multiple parties in my chain ask me to prompt follow up as emails and phone calls were simply ignored. On a few occasions I was told blatant lies about my transactions advising me work and follow up had been done but this wasn't the case. I've spent countless hours of time emailing and phoning Dutton Gregory in order for my transactions to complete in an adequate timeframe. It's clear that Dutton Gregory do the absolute minimum for their clients unless they are constantly chasing them. I have raised a complaint with Dutton Gregory which was addressed by one of their partners. They didn't complete a full comprehensive review of my complaint and ignored my DSAR request. Subsequent emails regarding my complaint outcome have been ignored by their partner. I've provided ample opportunity for them to resolve my complaint and have just been ignored. I've now escalated my issue to the LOS.
Please do not instruct Dutton Gregory, they simply do not care.

I suddenly found myself in a situation with my employer where I needed professional help. Mark Broad at Dutton Gregory was able to provide me with some much needed reassurance concerning the situation and obviously had the knowledge and experience to help. Selecting Dutton Gregory as my solicitors was the obvious choice.

You’ll be pushed into using them to speed things up and get a ‘Bellway Discount” which brings the price down nearer those of normal conveyancing charges (but still expensive) then you’ll pay £500 up front. When it all falls though and you change properties being purchased you’ll be quoted more than double the going rate for conveyancing and when you decline that quote you’ll be charged more fees for a transaction that has not taken place. AVOID

I cannot recommend Marc enough he has been a pillar of support throughout the sale of my business, always available and skilfully guiding me through the process.
Having Marc at the end of the phone gave me a lot more confidence, I shall miss our regular calls now that the sale has completed.
I would also like to mention Ailsa who dealt with the freehold side of the sale, very helpful and professional.

Katie Page and Oli Handler were excellent; prompt, courteous and fair and reasonable pricing. Two house sales and one purchase went through very smoothly.

Just one recommendation, that the DG app be checked to ensure all updates are recorded / notified.

Katie Page was absolutely superb and could not have been better. My step-daughter needed help dealing with the Land Registry for her new build property. Katie was amazing throughout - dedicated, caring, extremely quick, and able and willing to explain legal matters to make them comprehensible. Whenever there was a crisis or time pressure, she was there to help. Having someone you can rely on to really care about getting you the outcome you need is so helpful in these stressful situations. If you want a great solicitor I can recommend her unreservedly.

We used Dutton Gregory for our sale and the purchase of our new home. I really can't fault the service we received from Ayesha, Lin, and Hirakshi, they worked well as a team, and were thoroughly professional throughout. The pricing was made very clear from the start of the process, and their communications skills were excellent, keeping us well informed throughout. I would definitely consider using Dutton Gregory again, and have no hesitation recommending them to others.

Dutton and Gregory saved our sanity after a previous bad experience, restored our faith in solicitors.. communication was more than we could have asked for. So helpful and also extremely knowledgable and helped with so much other solicitors didn’t understand. The Chandlers Ford branch were SHOCKING. Completely unprofessional, we used them to speed things up as our buyer was using the same solicitor. It didn’t. They ignored me every time I tried to call. I spoke to my solicitor twice during the whole process.
Time and time again they gave me the silent treatment when I’d asked a question.
They made the already stressful experience of buying a house 100 times worse. Avoid using them at all costs. It isn’t worth the misery.

I had to leave this review until a while after the move as I was scared they wouldn’t release the funds from my lease holder if they saw it. That’s how they made me feel! I wouldn’t dream of treating anyone with such complete contempt.

Nice response from Dutton Gregory basically denying wrong doing and blaming me and mentioning the space of time between the event and my not speaking up before.

I didn’t speak up during as I was too scared that the sale would fall through all together and I’d have ended up still paying for their (terrible) service.

I waited until now to be sure everything was completely finalised again out of fear and for a long time I couldn’t even think about them after the treatment.

I just hope this review and the reply from Dutton Gregory serves as prevention for someone else suffering like I did and seems still am.

Currently trying to proceed a complaint regarding a property transaction with Dutton Gregory, whereby they missed several defects and gave incorrect advise in the leasehold of a property I was purchasing through them back in 2019, these issues have only now been highlighted by another firm whilst trying to sell the property.
To summarise their complaints procedure, so far, seems to involve ignoring the client as much as possible and hoping they give up on their claim for compensation.
To top it all off the person handling the complaint is related to the solicitor responsible for the original transaction.

Fantastic experience with DG solicitors. This is the second time I’m dealing with them for residential property conveyancing and no doubt they are the best given my experience. Both Paige and Clare were very quick in responding and they’ll explain you each and every query in a simplistic way and in a short timeframe. I would definitely recommend them for your needs.

Hirakshi was fantastic from start to finish with quite a complex chain and obstacles all the way, but she excelled and made the whole experience straight forward.. I would highly recommend Hirakshi and Dutton Gregory.. Thank you so much.
