I am submitting this review to formally record my experience with Find My Engine (Bolton) regarding the sourcing and supply of a replacement engine for my vehicle.

I was originally promised that an engine would be supplied within one week. Instead, the process lasted from late October until February, during which time my vehicle remained at my garage without an engine for approximately four months.

The sequence of events is as follows:
• The first engine supplied was the wrong unit
• That engine was taken back, and at the same time my original engine was also removed
• My vehicle was left at the garage with no engine at all, making it completely unusable
• My garage had to keep the car on their premises for months while waiting for a resolution

During this period I was repeatedly given delivery dates and assurances that were not met.

At one stage I was informed that a required part had been ordered from eBay. However, after around two months, the engine was returned without that part. This explanation was difficult to accept given that typical delivery times for such items are only a few days.

This situation caused:
• Loss of use of my vehicle for four months
• Ongoing inconvenience and disruption
• Repeated chasing for updates
• My garage being left with a vehicle taking up space with no engine

Communication throughout the process was extremely poor, and the overall handling of the matter fell far below what had been promised at the outset.

This review is a factual account of my direct experience over that period.

Based on the above, I cannot recommend Find My Engine (Bolton).

I was passed to 2 separate re-build companies via this website. Both were shocking to deal with Engine Remake and Recon Engines. Original quote was £3.5K for and engine rebuild, neither were interested in re-build just wanted to fit a new engine for 10K plus! Finally got my car back minus my wife’s leather gloves and ski hat that they grabbed from glovebox. The name is ironic! Do not not use!!!!

Was talked into my engine rebuild from a guy called James from engine craft. I’ve had my car back twice kept telling me something else was wrong more money more money. Absolutely scam company took £9k from me as they hold your car hostage Its cost £3k to put there work right and three trips to London demanding my car back. Don’t use you will get ripped off

Have been scammed 2.5K by one of their providers. No phone number to contact them and no response via email.

Absolute shambles ! They don’t care what happens to you , engine or money !
Do not trust this site to seek your engine !

SCAMMERS - DO NOT TRUST!
Used their services to book an engine repair. Passed on to Engine Restore Ltd who have taken our deposit and engine and have now stopped answering any communication. The more I investigated the more convinced I am that they are scammers.
Beware of Sudhir Singh Behal.

Used a company called Engine Restore Ltd through this site, took 4.5 months and still have issues and they do not respond to messages or phone calls and blue ticks on WhatsApp show that they have read the message but still they will not reply, still waiting for a copy of final invoice and the so say warranty, even tried to tell me that I needed new injectors at £3,450, had car recovered to Bristol where injectors were tested by OEM partner with Bosch and all were spot on at £660 and coded to cylinders, very quick to ask for money and there it ends unless you pester, nothing like there promise on there own web site and strangely enough you can't leave a review on there web site either.
Stay well clear.

Stay away from these cowboys. Say they are insured for the people they get the work done with. I have complained more than 4 times and nothing back.when my car came back with damage they just ignore you
