Home schooling has given us so much
When my daughter came out school, I was worried how it would be learning at home but with Eureka she has loved it. They are on the end of the phone or email if you need them and the teachers are fantastic. Unlike many mainstream schools, the teachers are happy to be teaching and the kids are happy to be learning. My daughter can learn in peace, in a calm, friendly, supportive environment. So far I can't fault Eureka Learning, for us it has been a life saver x

My daughters experience here, doing year 12 has been great, being able to study the subjects she likes is a great advantage.

I’m not totally confident in the experience we’ve had.
D joined part way through the academic year, there was no initial assessment of her current levels, she joined classes and wasn’t welcomed or acknowledged simply expected to pick it up, she wasn’t even sure the teachers new she was there.
No induction on equipment, and how to use the technology, (the recording isn’t great) Changes to timetables without notifications or considerations for learning outside of the existing timetable
D could get away with not paying attention which concerns me, there is a lack of interaction at child level, having watched back some of the lessons I wasn’t confident in the teaching styles
Offers of support only arrived when re-enrolment time came when I had emails from SEND and personal tutor who I didn’t know existed, this feels like it’s for the money.
Slots for parents/ teacher catch ups are like gold dust, when you do get one they’re not personalised to the child
It’s much better than traditional
School, the environment was suited to Ds needs but there’s some work to do. Admin team are lovely and do what they can to help.

We would like to provide some additional context for prospective families reading this review.
We have a short basic introduction video for trial users, which is indeed intentionally short, however the welcome meeting has a longer and much more detailed introduction to the platform and school as a whole.
All new students are assigned a personal tutor and invited to a welcome meeting shortly after joining. Her tutor reached out at the end of November within the first week of her enrolment to introduce herself and arrange this meeting. The meetings generally include an opportunity ask questions and where desired includes a detailed introduction to the platform, equipment, technology, etc and how to access support. An initial meeting was scheduled shortly after enrolment, but your daughter did not attend. Your tutor frequently chased and tried to set up more meetings. Further meetings were arranged and follow-up emails were sent throughout December and January before a welcome meeting was eventually able to take place mid- January. As a result, some of the more detailed guidance and orientation you were missing, that would normally be provided at the start of a student's journey was consequently delayed.
With regard to classroom introductions, our approach is intentional. Many of our students experience anxiety, EBSA, panic attacks, have PTSD or other challenges that can make being singled out in front of a class uncomfortable. For this reason, teachers do not routinely announce or draw attention to new students when they join lessons. Students are invited to engage on their terms, in lessons and in the student community offerings.
We acknowledge the point regarding SEND support. At the time she joined, being a small school, we did not have a dedicated SEND Coordinator. Since then, we have expanded our support provision and appointed a SEND Coordinator, who contacted families shortly after taking up the role to introduce herself (mid-May) and offer additional support where needed. Vanessa is a brilliant, dedicated SEND coordinator with loads of experience who has already improved our support offerings massively and will happily work with you.
We were also concerned by the suggestion that support was only offered at re-enrolment. Our helpdesk is there to be contacted for support at any time, our safeguarding & now our new SEN coordinator and your tutor can be contacted throughout the year too, and support is available whenever concerns are raised. Parent-teacher meetings are held every term and are intended to focus on the individual student, with additional meetings available when specific issues need to be discussed. I am sorry that you felt unsupported.
We recognise that no school is perfect, and we continue to develop and improve our provision. We value all feedback and use it to help shape the experience we provide for our students and families. If you would like to have a chat, we are happy to arrange a meeting.

Our daughter has been studying with Eureka for several years, completing her IGCSEs and now preparing for the next stage of her education. As an international family living between different countries, the flexibility and quality of the school have been invaluable.

My son has been at Eureka for a few…
My son has been at Eureka for a few years and is so happy. He had a tough time at mainstream school and has tried other online schools but Eureka is so much better. There are small classes, the teachers are kind, approachable and very good at making sure all the children are keeping up. If there is ever a problem they are quick to help. I would highly recommend Eureka.

We have had a great experience with the school. The administration is very helpful and supportive at every step and always ready to assist with any issues.
The teachers are kind, attentive, and caring with both children and parents. Most importantly, our child truly enjoys the lessons, loves doing homework independently, and always goes to class with enthusiasm and pleasure.

I have 2 kids in Eureka and it's been...
I have 2 kids in Eureka, my 12 year old and 17 yrs old (A levels) and their experience has been wonderful. The teachers are extremely supportive, parent's concerns are met with understanding and positivity. As parents, we're always made aware of the students progress with their overall wellbeing being their top priority.
My kids have previously been in other online schools and Eureka has been the best one.
I'd happily recommend Eureka to anyone looking for a quality education for their kids in a loving, attentive and supportive environment.

My daughter is in love with her school
My daughter is in love with her school!
We've been at the school since the beginning of this academic year. I haven't expected much to be honest, but the school has exceeded all my expectations!
Great teachers, the whole respectful and friendly atmosphere, very well organised routine. I like that teachers do care that the child is present at the lesson, that if he/she is present then camera and mic is on, to fully be involved in the process.
The approach is very light, without any rush from.one side, but serious and fundamental from the other side.
My daughter adores her class teacher, is in love with all her extra curriculum lessons and eager to be present at school every day!
Thank you very much, Eureka School for such an experience. Looking forward to more years together ❤️

As a former employee:
If you are looking at this review to put your child in the system, I can say, beyond a shadow of a doubt that the teachers and support staff are excellent. All of the teachers there go the extra mile for your child and make sure that the online learning environment is a positive one with good education practices and a staff that will assist you.
If you are looking at this review to see if it is a company that you can teach at however, proceed with caution: Although you are payed very well, you do not get any written contract and communication when it comes to improvement is topdown. Even if communication is maintained, job security is questionable. You are considered as an 'independent contractor' and they can terminate your services without ANY severance package or compensation for the extra time you put in.
The children and parents are very supportive. And a pleasure to teach.
Upon reading the response to my review, I am sure that the company can provide evidence of these communications... I can. 2 meetings over zoom that I initiated concerning my health which was met with indifference and critique of my lessons and 2 emails concerning the topic which highlighted what I needed to improve which I was doing. I can prove that as well...

We would also like to clarify a few points for families who may read this review:
At our school, all educators—whether employees or independent contractors—receive ongoing guidance, feedback, and support to help them meet our academic and classroom standards. We follow a consistent review process and provide multiple opportunities for improvement whenever concerns arise. Ending a contract is extremely rare for us; in fact, this was the first time in many years of operation that we needed to do so.
We made this decision only after extensive communication and after determining that we could not ensure the level of instruction and consistency that our families expect and that our curriculum requires. Our priority is always the quality of education and the wellbeing of the students in our care.
We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this, and we remain committed to maintaining transparency, high teaching standards, and a positive, supportive experience for all students and parents.
Good value and lesson selection
We used Eureka for educating our daughter in year 8. Overall this was good value for money. There was plenty of communication from the school and it was easy to manage homework through the online platform. If the children don't want to use their camera they don't have to. There is a chat function that they can use to participate in lessons. The lesson choice improved to offer things like art and P.E. which was really good. My daughter has since returned to mainstream school but this really helped her whilst she was going through a period of anxiety.

An excellent alternative to state schools
An excellent alternative to state schools, where location, mental health needs or learning difference make normal schooling impossible. Small classes, good teachers, excellent subject choice and much less stress about exams, all contributed to supporting our daughter to achieve her iGCSEs and go on to do A Levels.

Highly recommended eureka
I have 2 children ages 8 and 14 both studying with Eureka we are very happy with the services they provide and quality of education. All the teachers are amazing and fully supportive classes are small so all the children get a great deal of attention from the teacher. My children enjoy their lessons and are engaged with the class.
I would and have recommended eureka to other parents looking for a great home schooling solution for their children.

Highly recommended
My son has now been with Eureka for over a year and he is the happiest that I have seen him. Small classes that aren’t overwhelming, excellent teachers who are always quick to respond to any query. Having been to a larger online school, Eureka is so much better for us. We would highly recommend Eureka.

Great organisation with great teachers and small classes!
I am an ex teacher with two mid teens.
This is the fourth online school that my two boys have tried. The others were large organisations that I would not recommend. We are now in our second year with Eureka and still very happy with them. Great organisation with great teachers and small classes!

This is a wonderful small school that…
This is a wonderful small school that has the interests of its students at heart. The assistance and care that they give is second to none. Such supportive staff, both teaching and administrative. This was the best choice I ever made for my son. Cheaper than many and a great community. With no more than 10 in a class, the teaching is good. Absolutely recommend.

Great for kids with anxiety or ADHD
Great tutors, excellent range of subjects, very flexible, reasonable cost. Fantastic for children being home schooled due to anxiety or ADHD which can make normal school too stress inducing.

3 failed mainstream schools - this works!
After 3 failed mainstream schools, I now have my beautiful daughter back. There are now no emotional outbursts, no behavioural issues, she is sleeping well, going to the gym, no more self-harming and most importantly she is happy; she now actually wants to go to university. This change is all down to attending this online school. The lessons are recorded and accessible enabling the learner to review at their own speed. Unlike larger online schools the class sizes are small allowing the teacher to understand the needs of the students and make any reasonable adjustments to suit neuro-divergent learning. They are also accessible both during and after the lessons if the learner gets stuck. We have found that since joining our daughter is becoming more of an independent learner - a skill which is vital for college and university.

Excellent online school
My child had been struggling in the mainstream high school environment since Year 7. In Year 8, he was diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. Despite the school's support, by the middle of Year 9, his mental health was rapidly declining. He was being removed from more lessons than he attended, often placed in isolation with little to no work completed. His attendance was also deteriorating.
After much consideration, we made the decision to deregister and home educate. We thoroughly researched various online schools, and Eureka stood out. After a successful trial, we enrolled, and my child is now studying Maths, English Language, English Literature, History, Combined Science and Geography with Eureka.
The transformation has been incredible. His mental health has drastically improved, he is happier, and he genuinely enjoys learning. He actively participates in lessons without the fear of getting answers wrong or being singled out for looking too eager which is something he experienced in mainstream school. In just six weeks, he has learned more than he did in the last six months at his previous mainstream school.
Eureka’s small class sizes (no more than 10 students) create a supportive learning environment. Teachers regularly check for understanding during live lessons, yet there is no pressure to turn on the camera or speak, as students can use the chat function instead. Homework is marked promptly, emails are answered quickly, and online parents’ evenings provide direct communication with teachers (although they are always accessible if needed).
As a parent, I also appreciate the online app, which allows me to monitor my child’s attendance and homework. If for any reason your child misses a lesson they are recorded so they can easily catch up. Our only regret is not making this change sooner. We fully expect our child to continue at Eureka and work towards taking IGCSEs.
