Great company and very professional. Will use for every trip going forward!

Booking was straight forward and premium fair as i have medical conditions. The regular updates from Ian Jennings are both interesting and useful.

Excellent price and customer service

I had acute altitude sickness while backpacking in Peru and struggled with getting a phone signal to call the insurance company. They have a 24/7 emergency email and are also available 24/7 on WhatsApp with very quick assistance. This was the first time I have had any such issue when so far away from home and they were extremely supportive. Even after I was discharged they contacted me for updates on my condition and with help and advice on how to get to a lower altitude safely. The costs of my treatment were covered by thr company with no issues. I'd definitely use this company again. They made a very stressful situation much easier for us

I have always found Explorer Travel to be very helpful and courteous, plus very prompt service .
Their prices are very reasonable too .

I have no Claim experience with them, and that will be down to the actual Insurer, but as Broker their communication is good, and price highly competitive. I found the Policy they offered was better than the well known brokers too. Certainly worth giving a chance & checking out.

Good value get regular updates lucky I have not had to claim I have insured again for our holiday this year

I haven’t needed to claim on my insurance yet but I feel confident that Explorer Travel Insurance has my back because of the friendly customer interaction. I shall soon be reinsuring for another year and this company is likely to be on the top of my list.

I would highly recommend them.

Having used the company before with a good experience, I thought it would be the same this time. Wrong! They quoted me 5 times more than Insure and Go for the same holiday cover! Disappointing.

Recently purchased annual travel insurance from Explorer Travel insurance. This included cruise cover for my wife and I.
The online process was very easy to navigate and the additional advice around the new EU travel cards was really helpful.
Regular updates from Ian have been really useful.

We had an annual travel multi-trip insurance finishing at the end of October 2024 to include Asia and Australia. We are in our seventies, so it cost quite a bit more than such plans did a few years ago, but seemed comparatively reasonable. Most companies seem to really rack up the premiums and put you through an inquisition, even if you are just taking something very basic or preventative such as statins, which seems very unfair! It was relatively easy to book. The company keeps you informed with lots of chatty emails (almost too many!) but at least you are kept up to date and there are some useful tips.

Fortunately we did not have to make any claims during the twelve months, so cannot comment on that side. We are planning a couple of trips to Europe this year and may use them again. It would be good if they could offer some sort of no-claims discount for customers who book again.

I chose Explorer Travel Insurance because of its competitive quote - being over 75, travel insurance has become much more expensive for me. Luckily, I haven't had to claim so far, so I can't comment on that side of things. However, I have been impressed by the number of communications and newsletters, with lots of useful general information and advice. It makes me feel connected, and it's good to know the people I might be dealing with. I would be happy to use this company again. I have put today's date for the experience, but I actually started this annual policy last winter (it hasn't run out yet)

I admit my choice of Explorer was price driven. For this reason alone I am able to provide a 5 star review. The initial purchase was straightforward and all required documentation arrived in my in box - job done. I cannot add any claim experience but the regular travel updates, tips and advice make me feel that I would be treated fairly. Hope I never need to find out.
