This company is always advertising but never reply to your interest.
I have left three emails, wanting quotes on Doors and Facia boards.
Not one reply, lost interest now, as it certainly put me off their service, if something goes wrong with product.
Avoid at all costs.
The installation team and sales team were great but as for getting contact with customer service to fix faulty door forget it. I have emailed Julie and Jason and customer care and filled in the online contact form for the past month and no reply. I had an engineer come out just before Xmas to fix it turned up after waiting most of the day to say itâs two man job he canât do it and would contact us after Xmas. No contact yet and a faulty door still in situ and no fixed and not secured shut poor show have given them plenty of time to come back but now feel I should leave the review itâs been almost a year since fitting
We spent over 4 wasted months trying to get EYG Scarborough to fit a disabled wheel access door.
In the end we sent them this letter of complaint to head office.
In July 2025 we requested for a door to be put on our workshop, Jamie came out and gave us a quote which we accepted minus 20% VAT for disabled access. Josh sent me the contract and asked if we could reply accepting it minus the 20% which I did. Please note that my name is incorrect on the contract, My name is Jed not Jeff, I did point this out to Josh at the time and others that have contacted me throughout the last 4 months, however this still appears not to have been rectified. Since then there have been numerous calls backwards and forwards with Josh and other staff in the office, they continually keep sending people out to our home to give us quotes for the same job, they keep saying they will get back to us the same day or the next day and they never do, we have been told surveyors are coming only for other people to come wanting me to sign documents that I have already completed and demanding a 10% deposit. For four months now we have been extremely patient, listening to their excuses and lies. This is very unprofessional, if EYG does not want our custom then please let us know so that we can contact another company and leave our reviews on other sites for other potential customers.
Regards
EYG Head office never replied to a formal complaint they asked me to write.
I rang EYG Scarborough and josh said, the accounts manager had said, we are not dealing with the HMRC Disabled tax wavers.
I printed out that it's just HRMCs form to give to the accountants to file so they don't have to pass it over.
Josh said the accounts manager said, we have not handled vat tax paperwork for disabled people and we are not starting now.
Absolutely disgusting company to treat Disabled people in this way for over 4 months before dropping us off a cliff at the end.
EYG Discriminating against Disabled clients is absolutely dreadful.
I'm speaking legal advice
I have recently had my windows replaced with EYG. They have been fitted to a high standard and excellent quality product. The fitters were very helpful and clean.
We have just had a new composite door fitted, its made a huge difference to the heatloss in the hallway. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Would definitely recommend EYG.
From start to finish the sales and installation was smooth & efficient. My new windows look great. I've already noticed a difference in the rooms, much warmer. I would highly recommend EYG
After having windows fitted in my house, I noticed a lot of things gone wrong. After many, many phone calls and emails, with me getting more upset by the day, a date was finally arranged to 'revtify' the many errors. Needless to say that my grandson could have done a better job. I am still unhappy, unsatisfied, out of picket. Many emails later, I have yet to receive a response from anyone from that company. One would think that a family-run business would pride themselves in customer service. Nope, not them. I just wish one of them had the decency to contact me. I guess hell freezes over first. Additionally, I am contacting FENSA. Avoid the company.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. The team and EYG couldn't do enough for us during the design and build of our new conservatory.
The cost was very slightly higher than other quotes but we are so glad we went with EYG. The quality and finish was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended
Awful Experience â Poor Quality, Rude Service, and No Accountability
We had our windows installed a year ago and itâs been a nightmare ever since. The installation team left our home in a terrible state â walls dirty, cupboards disturbed and even managed to break one of our chairs. After countless calls and emails, we eventually got a £100 refund for the damage, but the overall experience was unprofessional from the start.
More concerning was the poor workmanship. We noticed right away that some window seals were cut too short, and several panes felt soft when pressed â the glass actually moved inward. When we raised this, we were told it was ânormal.â Fast forward a year, and one of those same windows shattered completely after a bird flew into it. Thatâs never happened with any window weâve had before, and it shows just how substandard the installation was.
When we tried to resolve this, the companyâs response was shocking. Our calls and emails were often ignored, and when we did get a reply, the tone was rude and dismissive. Despite explaining that weâd raised concerns from the beginning, we were told they âcanât helpâ and would need to pay for a replacement window.
We paid a lot of money expecting a professional job and a company that would stand by its work. Instead, we got poor quality, damaged property, and zero customer care. Once theyâve taken your money, youâre on your own.
Avoid this company â the workmanship is poor, the aftercare is non-existent, and their attitude towards customers is appalling. We deeply regret choosing them and wouldnât recommend them to anyone.
Avoid this company. No customer service . had front door fitted by them five years ago and in last month the door has been unable to open. They have come out 3 times to repair including changing the lock etc and still not working and they are refusing to change the door even though it is under FENSA warranty do not use this company. At present I have a front door that I am unable to open !!!!
John Dearman came out to quote us, we had windows, doors, and the soffits and guttering done, we've had a few problems with the fitting, but the guttering is the worst it holds water and when you walk underneath it, it spills water when it fills up, not sure how this happens as it does it when it hasn't rained, iv sent videos, had people out over the last 5 years, noone has come to rectify the problem, but they keep ringing as they have today to sell us windows, this is the worst company we've ever dealt with, this work was ordered on the 20th July 2020, I would steer well clear of this company,
Had sliding doors fitted. 5 star service. Workers were very friendly and did a great job, leaving no mess whatsoever. Will definately use this company again for any home improvements
Could not fault the company at all. From having Chris round to talk through the windows, then the surveyor, followed by prep work by the builder Raz and then the installing of the windows by Mark & Kevin. Had no issues, they worked professional, respecting the property and very clean workers. They are not pushy unlike Anglian Windows and this is the first time using EYG.
EDIT - after posting they started to do things as per agreed.
Ordered works costs 33,000 with EYG, there were the cheapest firm to quote by £2,000 by so this should this is not quote that is too cheap for the works etc.
sadly its impossible to get them to actually perform and start work or even provide a start date as apparently there are issues with my order which sales need to resolve but never action.
It started off okay. I ordered windows through them but quickly realised that they are very pushy with sales. Salesperson made me order and pay then and there to get the âbest dealâ and also wanted a man available, my partner, which I found extremely sexist and worrying.
Got some sliding doors from them which were half fitted and left in a sorry state. I had to chase up months after to get this sorted which took two attempts to get right. Door wasnât the right size which was disappointing.
Since then I havenât wanted to use them but I am getting cold called consistently on a weekly basis. Asked them to take me off from their contacts list which still has not been done.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
We asked the EYG salesman for a maintenance free front upper and lower bay windows in March 2024. We live in a conservation area so planning permission had to be applied for, we were concerned about this as several houses in this area had been refused planning permission, the salesman responded with âit may take some time, but we can do it, maybe back end of this year or early next year 25.â We then asked him if planning permission was refused would we get our £1100 deposit back, his reply was âYES but they would deduct the planning permission application cost i.e £200â. So we signed their contract under the impression that our £1100 would be refunded if planning permission was denied
After this initial consultation, on no occasion did EYG contact me, the few times I needed info, I had to contact them.
They initially sent a surveyor round, who pushed a lump of metal into parts of the window, damaging the frame, who then informed me that the upper part of the windows could not be done and we would have to paint it ourselves, this was not in the initial contract that we signed. Then a few weeks later a second survey was performed, as they never got it right the first time. Several months passed when a third survey was done, as the initial surveyer had left the company, the third surveyor said that the sills could not be replaced and we would have to also paint them ourselves. That's not what we signed up for, nor was it in the contract. A few more months passed and I happened to check on the council planning lists on the internet, only to find that they changed the plans for the actual window frames taking 4 inches off each window, once again no consultation and certainly not acceptable, at that point I phoned EYG and spoke to their sales manager for the first time, and the plans were once again changed, this shows the incapability of EYGâs surveyers.
Finally the planning permission was refused by the council. I phoned EYG as they haven't officially told me that planning permission was refused and still havenât several weeks later, and speaking once again to the sales manager who I phoned, who initiallly offered me only £500 refund, but later after speaking to him a second time, he informed me that the fee for obtaining planning permission was over a thousand pounds, and that he told me this earlier on in the year because its on his records, It may on his records but the first form of communication was when I initially phoned him, so this is untrue, surely this is a case of their surveyors being incapable of doing their work correctly, and charging for incorrect plans and also being misled by their sales staff. The sales manager couldnât resolve the problem and told me one of the directors will contact me. Im still waiting
Iâve emailed them on several occasions with no response
09/05/23 and also on the 13/05/25 . One the 29/05/25 I phoned them again but with resolution and waiting for the directors call. I also emailed the director with no reply.
UPDATE: 1st contact, that I've received a letter dated June 5th from the director, basically telling me that they had the right to charge what they want. After replying on the 6th june via e-mail and a letter in the post, asking how much they were prepared to refund me and for a complete breakdown of their charges, it s now 13 june and as yet no response.
Update 2: 2nd contact via letter on Sat 14 June stating that we were told it would cost £1025.00 . They aplied for planning permission three times and failed.
ON NO ACCOUNT WERE WE INFORMED.
EYG say we were informed as their records show this, we were not.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

Mr Handley Bourne Lincs
We are sick and tired of this company. My elderly disabled mother had some (extensive) work completed by them years ago and they have rung her repeatedly on a regular basis ever since, wanting to quote her for more work. It is often a struggle for mum to reach the phone to answer it, and a waste of her time and effort when we have told them over and again to stop ringing. We have politely told them that she does not want them ringing her and i have had angry words with them on occasions when i have answered, but still they continue to pester an elderly lady. Unfortunately we can't block their number on Mums landline but i consider this to be harassment. Although we don't have any significant complaints about the work they completed, I really wish we had never dealt with this company as they are causing my mum significant stress.
Visited their showroom in Hull today looking to get a quotation for sliding patio doors. Spent about 10 minutes before anyone even showed their face. When someone did show up she kindly requested one of her colleagueâs come and assist.
He didnât even introduce himself so we advised him what we wanted and without even making eye contact or looking up from his calculator offers us the price. No dialoge on what colour what handles nothing, so we then had to give him that and again got another price. I requested a formal quotation for what he was offering, his response âYeah I can write it downâ he then did exactly that. Scribbled on a business card?? Which had him as a sales consultant. I think not. Sorry EYG if thatâs the best youâve got Iâm taking my business elsewhere. Not a great experience and wont be going back for any other work in the future.
Avoid at all costs!!
We had full upvc windows and conservatory replaced in 2024 by EYG and the experience was terrible.
Their fitting team was unprofessional, we had to site manage snags everyday and they needed to return 7 times after the conservatory was fitted there were that many issues of poor quality, rushed work and behaviour many would associate with lads on holiday.
I hate giving bad reviews and would love nothing more than to enjoy our new windows and conservatory, but I'd really recommend going with a different provider given this experience.
