Quite disappointed. As a none mechanic I have to trust that the people I go to are honest and do a good job to ensure my vehicle remains on the road.

My first impression was good, I reported with a ‘sticking clutch pedal’ at 56000 miles and wasn’t surprised to hear I needed a new clutch assembly. Later I was surprised to hear that I needed a duel mass fly wheel replacement to - essential apparently and cost a total of just over £1800. A kick - but accepted based on trust

Roll forward 4 weeks and I’m reporting at another garage (local to home) for an MOT - only to be told the clutch is making terrible noises. Not wanting to be seen off I took it for a second opinion who confirmed the likely hood that the car would brake down. Great!!

Off to a Ford specialist I go. This time a different story - upon inspection the original clutch repair had been completed badly and they couldn’t understand why the additional work had to be done at all (mass fly wheel) - apparently it’s only 6 pins and not much time. True to their word I was out of the garage in 45 minutes with a new clutch and a report listing all the faults - which included missing dowels, cross threading and misalignment - all of which would likely cause more problems

After a new £700 bill from the second garage I obviously reported this to Formula one for their action. Some 2 weeks after retuning their clutch I have heard nothing other than a call I made to be told I should have had a report at the end of last week - still nothing

My consumer rights outline that should I complain then action should be taken in a reasonable time - should this not occur then i have every right to ask for a full no questions asked refund. I guess that’s the only option left to me

Honestly - I couldn’t recommend, it’s a shame. The staff seemed good at the time but the workmanship and trust is not there

Used the Bedford centre today, despite staff shortages they carried out extensive exploratory work on an electrical fault with my car, Malcolm warrants special mention as he worked on my car during his lunch hour as he was so busy and Glen is always so helpful and accommodating, I have used Formula One for some while now and will continue to do so whenever I don’t have to have MFSH.

Car booked in for full service and mot in June. Told needed new front discs and pads to pass mot so paid to get them done. Was told it might fail with the back ones. Was told they couldn’t fit in if it did fail for over a week which has never happened in the 15 years I’ve been using garage. Felt it was just a tactic to get me to pay to get them done told them to do MOT and guess what..,,. Funnily the back brakes passed without even an advisory mention. Went to use window wipers few days later. No water in system despite screen wash on the bill. Was charged £31 for new Bosch wiper blade. No mention of Bosch on it anywhere and suspect it was not ever changed.

Very professional and friendly at the Bedford branch. Glen kept me informed of what was needed to be done in the full service, and the cost all the way through, without pressurising me. The work was done very efficiently on the same day, and my elderly car sounds and drives so much better. Thank you so much.
