DO NOT USE - "PROPER COWBOY WORK" words from another COMPETENT garage when reviewing ball joint repair work at this F1 Bulwell branch. Went in with ball joint replacement left with absolute battered balljoint and arm joint where F1 couldnt undo a simple bolt, also left with a broken inner cv joint drive shaft where F1 then tried to gain access to when they were too stupid to get the proper way off. Refusing to take responsibility and refund the new drive shaft needed even though i have provided images and formal written second and third opinions from external garages. Next step Obudsman, no matter how long it takes and my word of mouth will ensure as many people as possible avoid this branch and F1 altogether!

I told them I would now go to the ombudsman and was laughed at.
I do not care how long the complaint process takes. I will ensure you have to pay for what you have done.
Mistakes happen. Why lie?
You have a duty of candour and and a duty of care to your customers. It is disgusting.
I will ensure everyone knows how this business operates.

We have contacted customer service.
1. You refuse to review CCTV
2. You refuse to acknowledge my complaint
3. You refuse to investigate my complaint.
Therefore as per the comment last night on the phone where you state you welcome their involvement i have involved them.
They will investigate and find that you have ignored numerous emails. Declined reviewing CCTV and refused to follow a complaints procedure.
You are cowboys and aside from this will now lose four customers from my family alone, let alone more through word of mouth with friends.
We will not let this drop no matter how long it takes for the ombudsman to resolve.
Please note even ex employees that work elsewhere are going around telling people you do damage cars and report faults that aren't there.
The 2 stars on here says it all.
So you will next hear from us when the ombudsman gets involved.

The damage has been reviewed by external mechanics who have verified F1 have caused the damage.
F1 are ignoring my complaints and simply closing the complaint down.
I informed them I would be going to the ombudsman and was laughed at and told by the mechanic "good luck with that".
Yes it may take me a year or two to complete the complaint process with the ombudsman but believe me, I can be patient.
In addition to having a refund for the repairs needed to fix the damage YOU caused I will also ensure compensation is paid for the distress caused too.
DO NOT USE THIS COWBOY OF A SERVICE

Booked MOT and full service something like 6 weeks in advance. Told on arrival...MOT guy sick.. cannot do service as a package. Booked me 2 weeks later.
2 weeks later get a call at 11am... Cannot do your MOT... Guy goes home at 12. Your booked for 1pm. Come collect your car. Manager not available for 5 days. MOT expires 10 days.
Be warned... Bunch of cowboys.

I had a very poor experience with F1 Autocentre Bulwell Branch, which resulted in significant damage to my vehicle and considerable inconvenience.
I purchased tyres through Blackcircles and appointed this branch to carry out tyre fitting and balancing. I was later informed that their wheel-balancing machine was unavailable due to a fault. I therefore agreed to proceed with tyre fitting only and arranged wheel balancing elsewhere.
When I attended another garage for balancing, I was informed that the locking wheel nuts had been overtightened and could not be removed. I was present throughout the attempted removal and can confirm that no impact wrench was used; only a breaker bar was applied. I was advised to return to F1 Autocentre Bulwell Branch.
On returning, their team managed to remove three locking wheel nuts, but in doing so destroyed the locking wheel nut and key. During this visit, a mechanic checked the torque and stated that the wheel bolts had been tightened to approximately 100–110 Nm, assuring me this was correct.
I was then referred to FITTAPART in Mansfield to remove the remaining locking wheel nut. At this point, it was identified that one wheel bolt had been forced and overtightened, damaging the wheel hub thread. I was advised that the vehicle was unsafe to drive, as only three wheel bolts could be secured instead of four.
I later verified the correct torque specification myself. According to the Haynes manual for my vehicle (which I can evidence), the correct wheel bolt torque is 90 Nm. Based on this, the bolts appear to have been tightened beyond the manufacturer’s specification, which in my experience directly led to the damage.
When I raised this with Formula One Autocentres customer care, the regional manager, Chris Higgins, stated that the locking wheel nut key was not fit for purpose due to age. I would like to be clear that I had never experienced any issues with this locking wheel nut or key prior to this tyre fitting.
In my opinion, this situation arose from how the work was carried out at this branch, and I was left with unnecessary repair costs, disruption, and a vehicle that was temporarily unsafe to drive.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend F1 Autocentre Bulwell Branch for tyre fitting or vehicle servicing. I found that when issues arose, responsibility was not accepted, and the burden was instead placed on the customer.

I just had the pleasure of using the Formula one auto centre in bulwell for the second time within the last year and highly recommend this garage! John the manager and Tyler were so kind, helpful, and professional. John was also incredibly informative, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel very comfortable as a customer. I truly appreciated their help and wouldn't hesitate to bring any future issues with my car to them. Thank you John
They told me my car was ready after I had to chase them and when I got there the I think, Manager completely ignored me for 15 minutes then told me it wasn't ready terrible customer service my son went and had his car serviced the next and they serviced it but didn't change the oil because they didn't have any this Bullwell branch is a shambles I won't be going back.

Organised to have 2 new tyres fitted at the bulwell branch - left the car with them - got back 45 mins later to be told the tyres weren’t there so couldn’t be fitted.. rebooked.. only saving grace is the guys were friendly

I booked a service and MOT online. I dropped the car off at 8:30AM. I hadn't heard anything at all so gave them a call at 5pm. They said they had only just started on my car but it had passed its MOT but all the brake discs and pads would need replacing after starting my service.
I was confused why they had passed MOT but was told they needed replacing?
I asked for a price but he couldn't give one and would tell me when i picked up my vehicle.
I went to collect my car and the guy never came out of the office, which was rude. He sent a technician to give me my key and sent me on my way. I was never given a price.
When I got home I was emailed an invoice which said lots of things needed to be replaced, non of this was discussed with me. If they did need sorting then why was I left to go home without being told?
As a female, I left the garage feeling stressed and worried.
I decided that I would take my vehicle to a different garage to get it replaced as I didn't feel confident going back.
After taking it to this new garage they told me I didn't need front and back, pads and discs doing, so F1 was trying to scam me. I only had to have the front ones done. They also fitted one of the other items but the rest were fine.
I would never return to F1 and would not recommend to anyone.
Great service as always, the team at Bulwell are always professional and polite.

I had an air-con clean and re-gas on my 2016 Mini Cooper 1.5, carried out by the Bulwell branch. When I bought the car over a year ago, I noticed the air-con didn't seem that cold, and there was a strange noise coming from the car, when the air-con was turned on. Ever since the re-gas, the noise has gone, which leads me to think, the system was struggling, as the gas was so low. I would highly recommend a re-gas and clean, and Formula One have a deal where you get both for a discounted price. I'm very happy with the service I received from the Nottingham Bulwell branch. I had the car booked in for 13.30, on the 8th May. We dropped the car off and then went for a walk around the retail park nearby. We came back around 15.00, and had to wait another 10 mins, before getting my car back. Driving home I noticed straight away, the noise had gone, and the air-con was so much colder.
Well done again to Formula One 👏
I took my immaculate 4 year old Mercedes to Bulwell for a service and MOT and left it for the day.
Customer parking is limited to 4 very tight spaces and is immediately opposite a Trade distributor facility with very limited turning room frequented by large vans.
My car was obviously reversed into and the bumper marked and damaged whilst in their care. The local manager was excellent he tried to clean up my car and really took ownership of my customer care.
The cost to repair my lovely car is about £240.
Once the area manager became involved my issue was dismissed by regard to the fact that I had not notified the team when I left. Conveniently or not my car was reversed almost back to the wall so I couldn’t even lift the boot. Apparently my home CCTV evidence was not even asked for which showed my car being driven off my drive without damage and being returned with scuffed bumper.
Total robbing attitude, no care from the area manager and I hope his area profits are good as I will never be returning to F1. Dishonest and Disregarding management.

Great price. Easy to book. Very friendly, efficient thorough staff.
I’ve never had a problem at the Bulwell Nottingham garage. I’ve been using them for the past 5 years for my service and MOT. I took it in today for a battery change. Always very helpful and polite. Yeah things can be expensive but aren’t most things these days?
They always give you a call with updates and to check you are happy to go ahead. I don’t know enough about cars to be able to try and fix it myself but I haven’t felt like they know I don’t know much about cars either, they explain everything and give prices before any work is done. Over all, I think it’s a great service
I booked an appointment for Saturday 3rd at 2pm to have 1 tyre changed and wheel alignment. I got there and gave them my keys they took my number to ring me when car was done i went for something to eat and a walk around thinking my car would only be a hour it then got to 3:50pm so I walked back to see if my car had even moved and I hadn’t even moved I was not very happy about this… what is the point in giving you an appointment if there not going to stick to there time schedule I then asked the bloke for my keys back and said don’t bother with the work I will get it done somewhere else that will stick to there time schedule… I definitely would not recommend anyone to use formula one in bulwell. Will definitely not be returning myself after this bad experience

Took my car for an mot at Bulwell after it had failed at another F1 Autocentre and they could not complete the repairs for over a week so had the work completed and booked in for a test at Bulwell as again when trying to book at the other centre they were booked up.
On arrival staff very helpful and friendly and I left my car with them after a few minutes I received a call from staff informing me that I was entitled to a free re test at the other branch and they suggested contacting them to save doing a full MOT. I recontact the other branch who informed me that they could not get it in for over 2 weeks in which case would be out of time to be able to re test it. I relayed this to staff at Bulwell who immediately got on the phone to the other branch and sorted a free retest within the hour and arranged a refund for the MOT I booked with them.
Honesty and integrity excellent could of quite easily taken my money and completed the MOT at their branch but instead went the extra mile and saved me money.
Needless to say I will be returning to Bulwell for work in the future rather than the other branch.
