Two new tyres fitted at Formula 1 Autocentre, Coalville, Leicestershire. Absolutely excellent service in every way, polite, helpful, excellent tyre-fitting. We were thrilled to receive such wonderful service from Jeff and Liam. Many thanks.

Awful experience! Booked in for service, tyres and brakes! Kept car for a day, had to chase them for updates and got car back 9 hours later and nothing had been done! Lost a days work, no apology no nothing! Worse experience I’ve ever had at a garage, useless and rude!

On 15th June I bought my car in and was told it needed work doing by the specific dealership, and that work ended up being nothing more than filling up the oil. An in person visit confirmed that my oil was never checked by F1 so as far as I can tell my car was never checked.

I have been attempting to raise a complaint since 25th June; as per their website I can do this in person, over the phone, or via email and I will receive a callback within 72 hours. I have done all these things and have still never had a callback.

They are absolute cowboys, they don't care at all what they're doing as long as they can get some money out of you in the end. Avoid at all costs.

Also, in case anyone is thinking of replying - CALL ME INSTEAD!! Help me fix the problem rather than send meaningless replies on a public forum.

Booked a aircon regas and clean for today online and phoned up the branch (Coalville) to confirm time.

Arrived before my time to be told that we don’t do air con on a Sunday as no one is here qualified to do it. Why wasn’t I told this when I phoned to confirm a time.

Can not refund me and told me that I need to contact customer services. Problem with that is they are closed on a Sunday.
So now i am having to wait for a refund for a service I have not received and have wasted my time and money going there.
Not happy as due to work the only time I can do is a Sunday and everywhere is fully booked meaning I have to wait even longer

I dropped my car off as it was booked in for 10 am they said they wouls call me but heard nothing by 1pm so I called up and got.told sorry we can not mot your car as are emissions machine is broken and they could only fit me in on Tuesday okay thats fine
Didn't hear anything on Tuesday so again I had to chase it had failed due to rotation on the tyres being wrong totally understand that and a seat belt buckle missing they are waiting for the parts company to call them back with a price didn't even get asked if I wanted the work doing.... so I asked have you checked that its just not fallen down after you had done the mot they assured me on the phone they did but something didn't sit well with me so I said okay I will wait for the quote in the meantime I had found the part from j&l for £67....
A day later I get told over £400 for a part I earlier found for £67 from the main car dealers
I said again definitely looked and its not there again assured me they looked but this did not sit right with me so I left work and went to the garage to look for myself heaven behold before I had even opened my car a comment of it might of fallen behind the seat.... (got told twice this was checked)
Open my car and there it was you could see it i understand the holw.if its not there during the mot ect but come on before quoting me over £400 actually check some people wouldn't question and would just pay it thats a massive loss in trust then I agreed to get the wheels swapped and re tested 6 days later I go to pick my car up but I am left waiting for nearly half an hour because they have lost my keys and where more interested in making jokes over the radio then finding them.
nearly 14 days I was left with out a car incuring loss of earnings and a stress that you should never experience with a "trusted" garage
Check what they say if you using this garage and avoid it if you can

Avoid at all costs! They had my car for over a month , for a day job. They never informed me what was happening. Always me calling them for an update. Numerous times I got told I’d get a call back but never did anyone call me back! They just genuinely don’t seem to care at all. The worse garage I have ever visited. I won’t be visiting again and I have warned everyone else not to use !

Avoid this company at all costs.

I'll quickly summarize what has happened, Vehicle broke down and was not able to be drove which was dropped off to F1 on Friday 15th May 2026. I only just got the car back on the 4th June 2026.

After no update from the company at all, constantly chasing this branch in Coalville it too them 20 working days to repair this car.

I rang them day after day with them either ushering me off the phone with false promises or simply making excuses for the delay.

I would definitely not use this company again and to think there Formula 1, nothing speedy about the service.

Company seems to be incompetent with lack of attention to the consumer and due care.

Formal complaint has been raised after jumping through a couple of hoops.

Pricing for the invoice was a joke, booking process is non-existent and there service is next to nothing.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Avoid, they don’t want your money. Must be rich! Didn’t get back to me with a quote 2 days on the bounce! Dodged a bullet me thinks with their feedback.

Visited your Coalville branch and can say your receptionist cost you a sale of 4x tyres 2x 275x35x22 and 2x 315x30x22 ideal Pirelli and full alignment and discs and pads all round too due to no even acknowledging a customer was stood in front of her for a good while.

I get people are busy but not even an acknowledgment or a “ill be with you in a minute” completely blanked.

Used other f1s in the past such as long Eaton and the difference in service is stark. Coalville building seems to want to show itself more of a showroom and not a garage. I’m not sure if this is a training thing or she’s just rude but either way it’s lost a sale from myself.

If any of my staff did this then I’d like to know and would address it. Businesses seem to forget that without customers then there is no business.

Coalville Branch
Unfortunately, I hit a pothole/sinkhole which caused a tear in the sidewall of a nearly new tyre. As these were a set of all-season tyres, I was keen to replace it with the same type.

I called the Coalville branch and spoke with Isaac, who was very helpful. Although my preferred tyre was not in stock, he assured me that he would have it delivered that day.

I dropped the wheel off, and a member of staff saw me taking it out of the car and rushed over to help, saying he did not want me to get dirty.

The wheel was left awaiting the replacement tyre.

I called later to see if it was ready for collection, but it was still awaiting delivery. Isaac assured me it was on its way and also suggested that he would stay a little later than closing time to ensure I could collect the wheel.
I can honestly say that Isaac and the branch helped me out of a difficult situation, and I am very grateful.
In addition, they price matched my cheapest quote.

Appalling service. I purchased two new tyres online and agreed a time slot for fitting. Upon arrival I'm informed that they have only one tyre, so I asked them to install it as one of my existing tyres was having a bulge on the side wall. They installed but despite having a time slot, I had to wait more than an hour before they took my car in. Then I'm advised that they will call me the next day once the second tyre had arrived and 3 days later I'm needing to chase it up. I rang the head office to advise them about this extremely poor service and they advised that the area manager would call me to sort it. Immediately afterwards I receive an email stating that it can take up to 3 days for an area manager to call. I waited another day and eventually (Mark) the area manager called me and I agreed to return the car for installation of the outstanding tyre, but he has absolutely no interest in customer satisfaction, didn't even come over to apologize or discuss the matter whilst I was at the centre having the second tyre fitted, despite him saying that he would discuss the matter upon my arrival.

Booked in today for tyres. Arrived on time only to be told they’re not fitting tyres today as there’s a problem with their machine! Not only couldn’t they be bothered to call me beforehand, but no apology and not even able to give me an alternative date. Absolutely shocking customer service.

Was booked by RAC as tyres covered. Arrived at the booked in time the car sat on the forecourt for over a hour ! There are no staff hardly , the arrival wait at reception poor. Not manned!
I would never choose this place if you want to spend half a day sitting in a cold room waiting for 1 tyre to be fitted despite having pre booked! Then be my guest. If you have a life and have other things to do AVOID

My van suffered a starter motor issue on new years eve, the only place that could do it was f1 coalville, Brad the manager confirmed this so we had it recovered to the site, the van sat at the furthest point from the commercial bay that you could get, and only Intervention by ourselves led to it being moved,the promised time frame came and went and when it was finally fixed, I'll use that term lightly , it made a horrible screeching sound this lasted all of 2 days then the vehicle wouldn't start,it then sat at f1 coalville for nigh on 3 weeks and we had it recovered elsewhere where it was fixed in 2 days, service , attitude ability, all lacking, van has come back missing parts and. Broken parts, so much was promised by Brad, but nothing materialises, steer clear

Coalville branch absolutely useless customer service.
Kept me hanging around for three hours to then come and tell thay didn't have the pre ordered tyres in stock. Don't use these people full of excuses, say thay will phone you back and never do

Please DO NOT leave your car with this garage!! If I could knock this 1 star off, believe me, I would. Took my Jag XF in to them with alternator problems after they said “we can fix it but maybe not finished today” but quote was very good, so no worries. Rang a few times for updates, but no-one would give me answers, promised to call me back but never did. After 2 full days, I was told they were putting back together, and I’d have to go elsewhere because they didn’t know how to do the job!! When I arrived to collect my car, the battery was TOTALLY flat, so I couldn’t even start it, and I was told it now had multiple faults showing on the dash (that weren’t there before!). All in all, a disgusting experience, and I wouldn’t even let them fix a go-kart!!!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would… Used F1 this weekend for some work on my car, I have to say it’s been the worst experience I’ve had with a garage ever.

The fun all started Saturday at 10am when I dropped off my car for some new glow plugs, a pre booked appointment to be told they were short on staff so would be ‘a few hours,’ it then got to 4pm that day and the work had still not been completed. Continue on, F1 kept my car over night and the work was completed 1pm on Sunday. 27 hours for a 30 minute job.

Fast forward to Monday, I had also pre booked my MOT (if I hadn’t of already paid I’d have cancelled.) went to pick up my car and I had a failure for my windscreen washer. When raising that this worked fine, and has worked the same since F1 themselves did the work on it, 30 minutes later the car was then passed. Even though on collection I was advised I’d need to pay for more work.

It then came to me leaving, I went into the garage to pay, and the lady on the desk said it’s all paid it’s taken from your card. Great I thought, that was until this evening I get an email advising me there will be ‘further follow up’ as I’ve left the garage without payment.

Again, I presume on CCTV.

I’ve emailed back raising a complaint, but honestly, what a shambles. I will not be using F1 again, and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to unless they don’t want the work completing on time and all the mess that comes with it.

MOT cancelled twice at short notice

Had to wait a week after first cancellation, then cancelled yet again ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT

I phoned you and explained the situation and how unhappy I am, but you not really concerned

Turned up for my MOT on the last day permitted having booked weeks in advance to be told they’ve got no MOT tester he’s walked out. They haven’t tried to call me even though they said they had and had a wasted journey plus told expect a refund up to 5 days, thanks for your help guys.

Not the best of experiences, but credit to the area manager for contacting me and discussing the problems I experienced.
