Great Customer Service
I went to the St Austell branch looking for a new sofa. I was helped by Andrea Grose, who from start to finish of purchasing my sofa was awesome. Polite, warm, friendly, funny, and professional. She kept me updated throughout the process, and I now have my new sofa for Christmas. Would whole heartedly recommend Fairway Furniture, and Andrea Grose.

Wrong colour carpet delivered
Wrong colour carpet delivered, which then had a knock on effect on my next delivery as I had to defer the date for that delivery, until the correct colour carpet was fitted, then when my next order arrived, it was damaged, so I am still waiting for a replacement, here is hoping I have not got to wait much longer! And there’s no further problems.

We are disappointed that you have not received the high level of service that you should expect from Fairway Furniture. Unfortunately, both of the issues that you experienced (the incorrect carpet colour and the damaged bed base) were beyond our control as these issues arose with the supplier. Regardless of this we don’t like to let our customers down, and in this instance you have not received the quality products or customer service follow up that you should quite rightly expect when making a purchase with us.

Poor service
Chair delivered damaged, untrained driver broke a screw head off in 1st leg which couldn't be removed, then proceeded to put the legs on the wrong way round which he couldn't change as he'd broken the head off the screw. Manager assured us a technician would come out to repair the chair as good as new but the technician came out without any equipment to repair the chair because he wasn't given any information. Having to wait two months for a replacement chair, insurance sold to us totally worthless if you have to wait months for a replacement. No update on delivery but not unexpected considering service so far. Poor customer service definitely won't be using them again.
The technician did not have any equipment to repair the chair. He said if he tried to remove the screw it would damage the leg and Fairway furniture did not tell him or supply him with replacement legs. He took more photos to prove it was unrepairable. Fairway furniture wasted 2 weeks sending a technician out when their own delivery driver took photos as did I and supplied them to Fairway furniture but Fairway furniture did not give the correct information to the technician. Fairway furniture need to check the information out before replying with incorrect information. Thank you Fairway furniture for emailing me today after reading my review but it's hardly an update.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent purchase with us. We are so sorry that you have had issues with your order.
We are so sorry that your chair was damaged by the delivery team at the time of delivery. While we take every care to assemble items correctly, issues can occasionally happen. While this is regrettable, and we apologise for the error, this is sometimes unavoidable, but please be assured our delivery teams do undertake regular training to try and minimise errors such as this.
We have looked at the technicians report, and we cannot confirm that he did not have tools with him to action a repair. looking at the report the inspector provided, he stated that a repair could have been made, but you were unwilling to accept this, and wished to discuss your options further with the store manager. Without investigating this further we do not know if he had the items needed in his van to complete the job the same day, had you wished to proceed. We can see that both a full refund or a brand new replacement were offered to you, and you have to chosen to order a new chair.
We apologise that you feel the wait for this chair is unacceptable. Unfortunately, as you are aware, your chair is a made to order item, not an item we keep in stock, so although we will do all we can to expedite this for you, we are beholden to manufacturing lead times which are beyond our control. We are monitoring your order closely, and the St Austell customer service team is planning to contact you today (17th November 2025) to keep you updated.
Again, we apologise for the issues that you have had with your chair, and that you feel you have not had the high level of service that you should expect from Fairway Furniture. As a family run local business, customer service is at the heart of what we do, and we are disappointed that on this occasion we have not delivered on this. Please be assured we are monitoring your replacement closely, to bring this issue to a swift conclusion. Kind regards – Fairway Furniture

Please accept our apologies regarding the issues you have had with your order. We are not disputing that the technician did not have the tools needed, rather the report did not tell us one way or the other. We understand your frustration regarding the misinformation, and we are looking at ways we can improve our communications with independent technicians going forward.
We also find it regrettable that you do not find our communication regarding your order sufficient. Although we do not have a specific date for your replacement, we like to reach out to our customers and let them know we have chased the item with the supplier, so they know we are monitoring the order. As stated in our first reply, we are beholden to supplier lead times, and cannot always give a specific date for order completion. Late delivery
Good customer service in the shop. unfortunately the delivery was somewhat confusing as we were told the wrong time and were ready earlier than we needed to be. We were told 0649-0819, got up early to get things done - delivery turned up at 1535!

Friendly and helpful member of staff when our interests were divided over the price and style of the chairs we were considering. We were shown alternative styles and prices which we had overlooked. There was no pressurised sales talk and any questions asked were answered promptly.

We were looking to replace a 25 year old Gplan 3 piece suit. St Austell Fairway Furniture had a very good selection of Gplan. Karen was extremely knowledgeable and a credit to Fairway do hope they appreciate her. She kept us informed of delivery timing. The delivery team were very professional. Cannot fault the service we had from this company.
