Kinder Nevada gas fire missing part.

Had Kinder Nevada gas fire delivered. Part of Embrace fascia was missing. Ths gas fitter unpacked the fire and noticed the part was missing. Luckily it was a cosmetic part so he could complete thd fitting of fire.Rang Fires2u and was advised that they didn't have to give me the missing part because I was over 14 day returns guarantee. Infact it was day 14 so this was incorrect. The man actually put the phone down on me after being very rude. Manufacturer is sending the missing part of fascia.

Having reviewed the comment made, would like to point out the fire ordered was delivered on 30/08/23. Customer contacted us on the 13/09/23 when fire was already fitted. At this time we were advised a part of the fascia was missing we were also informed the packaging the missing part was in was damaged and a had a hole in it when delivered. We arranged for a full fascia to be sent out and requested the remaining part of original fascia be packed up and it would be collected at no cost to the customer this was duly carried out within 48 hours of ourselves being advised of the issue. We believed at this time we had acted in good faith and provided a good service. It was after this that the customer proceeded to call us on the 14/09/23 and advise us she wasn't happy to have to pack the original fascia up and could if she wanted to return the fire in full, the sales person pointed out that we would be unable to accept return of a fire that had been installed and used. The customer would not accept this and the sales person requested they put this in an email so there would be a paper trail of all comments made. At this time the sales person went quiet until the customer finished talking and the line went dead.
I would advise any person purchasing online to check all goods delivered within 48 Hours of delivery particularly if you receive a parcel which appears to have a hole in it.

Good experience with Fires2U

Ordered a Flavel 'Romance' HE Gas Fire from Fires2U. Great price, fast delivery and also speedy e-mail response to sales enquiry prior to ordering. (Love the fire, gas fitting engineer also impressed.)

Absolutely amazing service

Absolutely amazing service. Having been disappointed by two fire companies( who wanted to charge extortionate returns fees, which they notified me the day after purchasing the products) is was a delight to deal with a business that was conducted in the correct manner. Chris was so very helpful and unbelievably the fire was delivered the next day!! I can’t recommend this company enough. Thank you so much Chris. Joanne

Outstanding customer service

Outstanding customer service,the whole team are supportive & always helpful,I purchased a Dru fire,a gentleman named Chris talked me through the details of the fire,he also offered guidance on fitting for my gas fitter,they even stored the fire until my new build was ready,I would recommend to everyone 👌😊

Excellent customer service

From the first time I contacted your Company the help and advice was excellent. Once I had made my decision to place my order this was done very easily and the delivery was very quick. The fire was packaged really well and on inspection I was extremely pleased with it. Now installed and working perfectly, it looks really classy and exactly as shown on the website. I’m now a very happy and warm bunny!!

I purchased a gas log effect fire from an online company

I purchased a gas log effect fire. This company is an online retailer relying on photographs of fires and no showroom. They were very helpful initially, we identified a fire, purchased and delivered. The surround to the fire did not match the picture. I phoned the company based in Liverpool, the gentleman was not helpful and was quite rude and became aggressive (“what do you want me to do?”). I pointed out that as he had no showroom the photographs needed to be accurate. He palmed me off to the manufacturer. The manufacturer BeModern were excellent in their understanding and resolving the situation. They were polite, friendly and professional. I felt that Fires2U company were more interested in taking the money than customer satisfaction. They failed to empathise or understand the situation.

To say we are astonished by these comments in this review is an understatement. Firstly, all images on our website are supplied directly from Be Modern/Elgin and Hall (these images are not ones we take), these images are also on the manufacture’s own website.

Secondly once the customer advised us of the issue with the trim colour after he had installed the fire, we emailed the manufacturer immediately and they advised ourselves the trim he had received was the correct trim and colour he had ordered.

Thirdly as reference a member of staff being unhelpful and aggressive as it was myself, I can categorically deny this, the customer stated he had spoken to the manufacturer directly and they had inferred the images on our site where incorrect and I asked him if he could advise who he had spoken to so I could take this matter up with the person involved at the manufacturers, he said he would email these details to us however he never did.

Finally, as regards to him receiving a replacement trim which he found satisfactory this was done entirely at the instigation of my colleague who continually emailed/spoke to Be Modern/Elgin and Hall until they agreed to do this. The customer was then contacted to arrange delivery of new style of trim and collection of the original trim he ordered.

As to his comments of ourselves not having a showroom for him to visit we are 176 miles from his home yet he has a local stockist 6.1 miles from his home.

I can only say if this service is not exceptional, I do not know what more we can do.

Timeless Gas Fire 


I purchased a Timeless Gas Fire to fit into a stone fireplace.The fire was fitted by a well known Company doing this job for years.There was no problem at all with the fiting.However the fitter did mention that not enough coals had been supplied and the Company were informed of this.Since then I am experiencing loads of problems with soot covering the fire and falling on to the stonework of my fireplace and the carpet.There are also pieces of the rear of the fire falling off and the side pieces.I feel I should not be experiencing these problems for something I paid over £1000 in total for and wish to have my complaint dealt with and not just ignored.I have had 6mths of this sent photographs but heard nothing .Considering it is only 6mths since the purchase I dread to think what it is gooing to be like later. Its hardly a stunning fire but a complete eye sore covered in soot.

Reference your above review in relation to the Gas fire you purchased from us for £411.00 on 27/06/2022. We did receive your email concerning this issue at 9.31am on the 28/09/22. We responded to this email at 9-42am on the same day 11 minutes after receiving your email. In our email we requested an image of the fuel bed as fitted and the serial number of the fire, which is located on the fire directly behind the ashpan cover at the bottom of the fire. We unfortunately never received a reply to this email or have received any other emails from you since your original email on 28/09/22. Upon receipt of receiving this information we requested from you, we would have then advised the manufacturer of this issue and they would have contacted you directly to resolve the issue for you.
If you look at your emails again today, we have sent a copy of this email we sent to you on 28/09/22 and your original email (please check your junk or spam folder of your emails). We pride ourselves on our customer service and we feel 11 minutes to respond to your request is a reasonable time. All manufacturers request the above information so they can collate fires sent out with particular customers fires, as this manufacture delivers directly to all our customers.

Competitive Price, Fast Delivery

The most competitive price I could find, who actually had stock, and advertising the quickest delivery date (many retailers were several weeks). As it happened, the fire was delivered in less than a week. Nothing to fault, all good.

Order processed good fire

Order processed. I had no idea when the fire would be delivered so called the company fand was told "as per website its 7 working days."

Honestly this was fine but could be a lot clearer. Fire delivered in perfect condition.

No resolution of dangerous goods sold.

After buying 2 x Eko High Efficiency gas fires and finding one of them with a manufacturing fault which allowed dangerous fumes into our living space, I contacted Fires 2U. After not being dealt with by Fires 2U, I wrote a review of my experience on 1st June which triggered a call from Andrew (At Focal point fires, who Fires 2U passed me on to) to see if they could settle the dispute. The call discussed a form of compensation but I have not heard from Fires 2U or Focal point fires since. Avoid at all cost people, as the company has no consideration for its customers.

Great price and great service

I visited many local gas fire stores and none could fit a gas fire for me before Xmas so I decided to find a local fitter and buy a fire online instead. After deciding on a fire and researching prices online I discovered Fires2U had it for the best price. I was advised that the fire comes direct from the manufacturer and the lead time was 7 days. My fire would've actually been with me within 2 days but it was delayed for 2 days by the courier (DPD). When the fire had been delivered I was checking everything was there for when the fitter arrived to install it, I noticed one of the parts was damaged. I emailed Fires2U and they got straight back to me and advised the manufacturer would send out a replacement part direct to me, sure enough they did and it arrived in just a couple of days. The fire is now fitted and I'm really pleased with it.

Fast, friendly response to enquiries. Easy to order. Informed promptly by manufacturer they had my order and kept informed right up to delivery six days later. Delivery direct from manufacturer (Be Modern). Very pleased with my purchase and the whole experience so far!
