From the very first telephone call with David Lockwood, I was confident - i had found the best solution for my customers 2 mortgage applications. Fleet Mortgages did exactly what they said they would and progressed both applications quickly, with a customer focussed approached to lending.

Approachable but slow
The lender have policies that are approachable however their systems need updating and the underwriting process is slow. They also request more documents and information than a lot of other lenders.

Every time that any questions raised were answered either the same day or the next working day the application went to the back of a new queue.

Extremely slow
Extremely slow. I had to continually chase for updates. Underwriter was on holiday and nobody picked up case whilst she was away; I nearly gave up and re-submitted to another lender.
They insist on hard copies for some documents, so you are reliant on postal service, which again slows matters down. Think twice before using for urgent cases.

every review of docs etc takes too…
every review of docs etc takes too long- 5 days and then you want more docs- over 3 months to check docs is terrible service.

From initial underwriting flexibility through to processing and completion, my experience of a somewhat complex BTL case was excellent. I felt taken care of and I look forward to my next case with Fleet!

Excellent service from BDMs
We had a couple of very urgent applications that required the intervention of the BDMs Helen McNamara and Josh Parker. In both cases, the applicants had already exchanged on the properties so needed to complete very quickly. We have been extremely impressed with the communication and speed they were both able to deal with each of the applications, managing to escalate them so the offers could be issued in time and avoid the applicants losing their deposits! This is not a normal situation but they both pulled it out the bag so we are extremely thankful for such amazing service - Thankyou!

The process was very slow, you asked for so many personal docs when it was a Ltd company BTL however you did do what you said you would do with regards property type

Room for lots of improvements
Quite terrible overall with applications into months literally
time consuming with every application
not very communicable/responsive service/turnaround times
products are ok
processes sucks
business needs massive overhaul top to bottom
not what you expect from a BTL lender

I can’t recommend Josh Parker highly enough. As my BDM at Fleet Mortgages, he went above and beyond at every stage of the process and played a vital role in getting my deal over the line. His proactive approach, clear communication, and genuine commitment made all the difference when things got challenging. Exceptional Service & Support at Fleet
From initial enquiries with the Broker Support team and all the way through to the Completions team, the experience was none other than 'exceptional'.
The whole team, including my BDM (Stella Brookman) and Senior Underwriter (Carl Colbourn), worked as a team with me to get my case offered.
Every case for them is 'bespoke!'
