I’m extremely disappointed to be writing this review, but after more than a year of delays and no resolution, I feel I have no choice but to share my experience with Frenchi.
In 2024, I paid £1,400 for a custom-made suit. Over a year later, the suit has still not been delivered. Throughout this time, there has been constant back and forth, repeated delays, and no clear answers. I have spoken directly with senior staff including the head of sales, the head of marketing, and even the director, yet no one has been able to confirm when — or if — my suit will actually be made.
Recently, the marketing team emailed me saying someone would call to resolve the situation, but no one ever did. My follow-up emails are now being ignored completely. At this point, the lack of communication is worse than the delay itself.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. I started buying suits from Frenchi when I was 18, and I’m now 30. Over the last 12 years, I have purchased multiple suits and even recommended more than 10 people who also spent over £1,000 each with the company. Until recently, I never had a problem.
Since the Stratford branch closed, the service has gone downhill badly. The White City branch in particular has been extremely disappointing. For a company that relies on repeat customers and word of mouth, the way I have been treated shows a complete lack of respect for loyal clients.
Paying £1,400 for a custom suit and waiting over a year with no delivery, no clear answers, and no proper communication is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this company anymore based on my experience.

Shopped in FrenchEye Guildford last December when floor worker named Han (you can see him on the photos in other reviews) misled me on their exchange and return policy, didn’t say that it is only 14 days and that discounted items are non-refundable, even after I clearly asked him about it and explained that I’m going to take items to try on at home and may need to return them. He was very pushy and pressured me to buy everything I put my eye on, even after repeatedly being told that I don’t want the items. Then come January when I come back to return one item he says that he can’t do that and refuses refund even after being told that he didn’t explain the return policy, to which he didn’t object. Apparently it was saying on the email receipt that it’s is non-refundable. Receipt that they send of course only after you already pay for it! So missselling all around just to make a sale. Then he tried to push me to buy even more stuff instead of giving me a refund, or that he can take an item back and sell it for cash and then maybe give me money back. Street market practices in the shopping mall. In the end told me to come back in a month, because owner is on vacation(of course), just to get rid of me. So I had to raise a dispute with my credit card company.
Similar pushy experience in FrenchEye White City, the guy was pushing and pushing but then just said “we can’t do business with you” because they couldn’t match the size of the costume.

Was not informed of the no-refund policy, even after making it clear that I may need to return the item after consulting family, as the item was for a Christmas gift. Despite my explanation, I was then told the Sales Assistant had told me at the time, including that no exchanges were possible either. This is categorically untrue. Their receipt doesn’t even include their (no) refund policy.
The dishonesty and lack of integrity is truly both shocking and baffling. Appalling experience and I won’t go near the store, and I discourage others doing so too.

Excellent experiance from start to finish. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and helped me find a suit that fit perfectly. The quality of the fabric and tailoring is outstanding , and the prices are fair for the craftsmanship. Highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a sharp, well-fitted suit.
Misleading Photos, Terrible Quality & Slow Customer Service
I am extremely disappointed with my recent purchase from FrenchEye. The items I received look nothing like the photos shown on their website. The quality is shockingly poor, the material is so thin you can practically see through it. For a premium-priced product, this is completely unacceptable.
To make things worse, their customer service is incredibly slow. I reached out immediately after receiving the items and still haven’t received a response. For a brand that advertises itself as premium, the service and quality are nowhere near that standard.
I cannot recommend FrenchEye based on my experience. Misleading product images, low-quality clothing, and unresponsive customer service, overall a very disappointing experience.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Dreadful experience with Frencheye; when you want a product from them their customer service is lovely: warm, friendly, and helpful. I bought three items from them, one of which was too small and needed returning. I posted the item to the exact address that they gave me (they do not give you any kind of return label and expect you to pay postage for it, which was a bit of an alarm bell to me), and it disappeared. Royal Mail have marked the item as 'incomplete address', despite Frencheye confirming to me in writing that the address I entered was correct (from the tracking label). So it seems that Frencheye have given me the wrong address for their own company as a return address. As a result, I am not eligible for compensation from Royal Mail, and Frencheye have stopped engaging with my attempts to get compensation from them. They are deliberately refusing to read my emails and are simply writing back 'your item was delivered to your home address'. When I asked them to read my emails properly and specified that this was about a return and not a delivery... total silence again. This whole process has been going on for 4 months.
The items I bought were lovely - very good quality. If they had only treated the loss of my item with a bit of kindness, respect, and taken some corporate responsibility then they would have had a regular customer in me. Instead, I will now never shop from them again and would advise against going near them.
Beware: great customer service when they can make some money from you, no customer service when you need their help after something has gone wrong.
This is not a trustworthy company at all. What I genuinely think they do is deliberately give you the wrong address for returns so that the item will go missing and they will not have to provide a replacement!

My experience with French Eye has been nothing short of appalling. After paying £350 for a suit, I never received the goods and was refused either a refund or items of equivalent value. Despite presenting clear evidence and referencing their records, they outright dismissed my claims.
When their Oxford Street branch closed, I went to their Westfield location to resolve the issue. Instead of assistance, the manager was dismissive and unprofessional, even questioning, “Which of the staff asked you to come to me?” When I understandably became upset at their lack of accountability, they went as far as threatening to bar me from the store.
This company is, in my opinion, a scam. Over the years, I’ve spent nearly £2,000 with them, only to receive poorly made, ill-fitting clothes that I could never actually wear.
I know you might think this is an isolated case, but it’s not. You’d be wise to learn from others’ experiences—just check the reviews from a reputable store like Suit supply. You’ll find they offer better value for money and professional service.

The first time I went in this shop (this summer) I been help by an old gentleman, I was very happy for the results, than I comeback to another suit (for a different kind of celebration).
This time (in October) I been helped by a tall younger guy (his name was something like Pete), the experience was so bad then I never go back.
He was very unprofessional, he lost the suit, I asked to be ready ASAP because I needed shorly, I been very understanding, but he forced me to collect the suit in the only day I couldn’t go to the shop, and when I went there I tried to suit and one button fell off, so I asked if he can sort this out quickly, his answer and his colleague was “c’mon man, this is a very easy job for you at home, which take two min”.
I been promesse for a discount something for apologies, but nothing.
I never go back..

I recently visited Frencheye to help choose a suit for my brother's wedding, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The customer service was truly exceptional.
Sharif was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that we found the perfect suit. The suit we chose is of outstanding quality.
I highly recommend Frencheye to anyone in search of elegant and well-tailored wedding attire.

Awful customer service. My husband brought his wedding outfit from here and they completely messed up the alterations. Needless to say his trousers ended up being more like 3/4 and utterly stupid. Contacted customer services was told we would be given new trousers and a voucher after showing them pictures. Then heard nothing from them. Shocking customer service. Just avoid this shop at all costs. We spent £700 you could easily find something better for the same or cheaper.
