I was seriously considering Future Fit, but my experience with their sales adviser completely put me off.
I spoke to an adviser called Matt, who was initially very friendly and explained that one of the main reasons Future Fit was supposedly worth paying significantly more than other PT course providers was because their package includes an additional Level 3 nutrition qualification.
I was quoted around £58 per month for 4 years, which works out at roughly £2,800 in total. When I questioned whether the additional nutrition qualification genuinely justified paying £1,000+ more than other recognised providers offering Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications, the conversation became increasingly argumentative.
What concerned me most was some of the reasoning used to sell the course. I was repeatedly told to âask ChatGPT how much more money you can make with a nutrition qualificationâ. When I did, the answer did not support the claim that this qualification alone would justify the additional cost.
I was also told that if I worked as a PT in a gym and gave a client nutritional advice without this additional nutrition qualification, I could be in trouble if, for example, the client had an allergic reaction and sued me.
That sounded misleading to me, particularly because CIMSPAâs professional standards for personal trainers already include providing appropriate nutritional and lifestyle advice within a PTâs scope of practice, while referring clients to appropriately qualified professionals where necessary.
When I raised this point, rather than explaining the distinction clearly, the conversation became defensive and turned into an argument about why other training providers were supposedly inferior.
I have no issue with Future Fit charging more if they genuinely provide more education, better support or a higher-quality learning experience. What I object to is using questionable claims to make customers feel that they need an additional qualification simply to give normal nutrition guidance as a personal trainer.
After spending around 40 minutes on the phone discussing this, I came away with considerably less trust in the company than I had before the call.
My advice would be to compare Future Fit carefully with other recognised providers before committing to a long payment plan. Make sure you understand exactly what each qualification allows you to do and whether the additional qualifications are actually relevant to how you intend to work.
Very disappointed with the sales experience.

The benefit of completing the Level 3 Nutrition qualification (that is included, as standard as part of our Level 3 Personal Training qualification) is that you would be officially qualified to offer nutritional advice, to support a client's personal training journey. This must be within your scope of practice. In view of this, you may be able to attract more clients and, thereby, increase your earning potential.Â
The price of our training may be more than some of our competitors but this is not simply because we include the Level 3 Nutrition qualification, but more generally, because we believe that the standard and quality of our training is outstanding. We have built an excellent reputation within the fitness industry and because of this, our graduates are highly regarded and sought after by potential employers. Learners who qualify in Personal Training with us, are equipped with all the skills and knowledge to build successful PT careers.Â
We will, of course, review the information that has been provided to you, Denzel, in order to determine if the details were accurately and correctly described and we very much appreciate you sharing your views with us.Â
