Having supplied and installed Garador doors for over 17 years we can highly recommend them for both quality & design, producing garage doors that are built to last, unlike some other poor quality doors on the market. Their customer service is fantastic and their technical knowledge is 2nd to none.
We have an amazing team of fitters who fit the doors to a high standard, which is a must.

Within 8 weeks of installation my Gararoll Premium insulated door developed 3 large opaque vertical stripes approx 200mm wide and running top to bottom. I was advised that this corresponded with the new Durabelt Technology. However, after 5 months of dealing with their recommended installer,and Garador themselves, I am still no further forward. Garador advised me in March 2024, that they would have to seek advice from their German manufacturers, as it was a new problem and as yet the German manufacturer has not responded. I have also contacted their Warranty Department, their Technical Team and now their Area Sales Manager, to no avail. They are very good on the phone at sounding empathetic but nothing constructive is forthcoming. One proposed solution by the installer was to replace the doors under warranty and then remove the Durabelt technology so that the marking up wouldnt happen again. However, Garador advised that removing the Durabelt would negate the warranty. as the Durabelt is there to reduce "marking"; and I paid for the recommended Durabelt technology as Advertised in their brochure. However, Garador cannot as yet give me a solution to the problem and I do not see why the Company's technical resolution issues should be at my expense. I have asked for a refund via the Installer and the Area Sales Manager, but there is nothing forthcoming. The onus appears to be always on the Customer to contact and "chase". I would like to have a conversation with Garador's Managing Director on the Durabelt problem, and its resolution for me as a customer, as it is not my fault that there seems to be a technical issue that affects the appearance of the door. Garador's customer service is very poor and I have just been referred from Department to Department. I still request a refund and a response from Garador on this issue. I will look forward to a response from the Managing Director

Beware some of the Delivery drivers behaviour can be upsetting to children and parents.

Would give this company zero stars if possible.
Brought a nice anthracite up and over door to finalise my house renovation that took 2 years. The finish of the door has now failed and begun to go white. The company said it is not covered by warranty since the door can be damaged by UV or chemicals! The door NEVER gets the sun since it is positioned down the side of the property and all it's had on it is rain water so if this causes it to fail it clearly isn't fit for purpose! Avoid this company AT ALL COSTS unless you want to pay a fortune for a door that you will STILL NEED TO RUB DOWN AND PAINT LIKE A CHEAP door. I'm going to take legal action against this company as their products are fit for the skip and nothing else! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

New Build Property with a brand new Garador up and over garage door. Door has rust spots coming through to the surface and is apparently our fault because it has not been “professionally maintained by a certified tradesperson every six months.” You couldn’t make it up. There is no scratches or any damage to the door whatsoever. It is obvious the bare metal wasn’t primed properly and not painted to a professional standard. Strange they expect me to employ a professional to maintain but cannot prepare and paint a door themselves.

Poor quality finish on actual steel door seems fairly common experience. If this is a problem for you too, it's worth considering the cheap govt Small Claims Court. All can be done online. Write a letter to the trader (if they fitted doors the liability is theirs) or mfr citing the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and saying that you will be proceeding with a court action. This often brings results.

With many companies, Customer "Service" is nothing more than an overseas call centre with "agents " reading from scripts , a "bot" or an automated referral to a helpful (?) link . What a relief it was to call Garador and actually speak (" interact" ) with Justin and Wayne about a Carador 10 automatic door opener installed by myself. Their courtesy , patience and product knowledge was faultless.

Garadors approach to Customer Service and employment of well trained and practically experienced staff - such as Justin and Wayne - reflects the quality standard of their product . No one minds paying a premium for products if they are matched by their service that supports them . Garador and its employees from switchboard to service certainly fulfils that standard.

(It appears from some of the negative feedback posted by others mainly relates to poor installation - something I found worthy of checking and correcting to ensure the product performs as designed)

Don't make the same mistake as I did, when reading the reviews re Garador, look at the overwhelming amount of bad reviews and ask yourself why there are more bad ones than good ones. The answer is quite obvious, if you want a door that leaks when it rains, is draughty when the wind blows, and is on first appearance good looking, look again and then look elsewhere!

Absolute rubbish.
My Garadoor was fitted by Portman doors 18 months ago, its now very badly scratched and damaged which Garadoor say is a design feature and not a warranty issue!
Neither Garadoor or Portman doors have carried out a site visit to my home to inspect the damage before coming to this conclusion
This company is producing a very poor quality product and then trying to shirk responsibility by pointing out disclaimers in their literature.
My 18 month old £2,000 garage door looks worse than the 30 year old hand painted one its replaced.
If anyone is thinking of using either of these companys please come and look at the shocking state of my door before you part with any hard earned cash as they will not accept any liability.

Had a dark grey door fitted just under three years ago. Painted finish is already ruined, it does not cope with weather, even if you clean it as they recommend. They say I need to paint it already. Had hoped it would last longer than that, they must use a very poor quality paint finish.

Don't buy a Garador door if you are looking for a quality product.

I chose Garador having been told they were the best quality doors available and came with a 10 year warranty, how foolish I was not to check this.

8 years on the so called sealed for life surface has started to rust and I find the 10 year warranty only covers the mechanism (excluding rollers & springs 🙄) and specifically NOT the surface covering or primer.

What a complete sham of a warranty, boldly claiming a 10 year warranty but limiting this to .... well the steel rails which are unlikely to fail.

Don't be a mug like me, find a quality garage door supplier.

We had fitted the very latest Garadore Gara Glide 2 fitted and much to my disappointment after contacting their customer support found out that you can't automate it ?.

Garadore it's 2022 you have bough out a brand new roller door for 2022 and you cannot incorporate it into your home automation are you for real seriously how disappointed are we very.

If I new IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO AUTOMATE IT there is no way I would have purchased it why would we I cannot get over it in my experience I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase the same roller door as we did.

Absolutely gutted gone backwards my old up and over door was no trouble including it into our automation.

First purchase of a Garadore product and our very last.

Shame there is a no star rating

We have a new build house with a garador fitted as standard. When there is a wind blowing what a noisy garage door. It wakes everyone in the house and the neighbours have heard it. After months of asking for the installer to check it he finally looked at it, complaining all the time he was here saying he is not getting paid for this. We have contacted Garador and apparently it is just what that door does. Garador are low standard garage door manufacturers.

There is a reason Customer Support doesn't feature on the Garador website....there isn't any. We had a new door installed, but it was damaged on arrival. It took 6 months of arguing to get them to accept the issue and replace the door. The issue was obvious, but they kept saying it was our fault, or it is meant to be like that. A complete waste of time, driven by their desire to get out of their legal commitments. Is this our first Rogue Manufacturer ?

Before buying a garador garage door check how weatherproof it will be when installed I have a door that lets the rain in and it seems I am not the only one I was referred to the small print on the price list referring to ingress of water Perhaps garador could put this in their glossy brochures !

So it seems we aren’t the only people to have experienced problems with our double anthracite garage door, even though the door has been washed down regularly in accordance with recommendations. The actual door coating is pitting and coming off!
We purchased this door for our new build and it has been up just less than two years and already the door has deteriorated and looks awful. The company are hiding behind the excuse of ‘we don’t cover the coating as part of the guarantee’ absolutely disgusting considering the price of them.
DO NOT PURCHASE A GARAGE DOOR FROM GARADOR PATHETIC PRODUCT NO LIFESPAN WHATSOEVER AND LIKE OTHERS HAVE STATED THE GUARANTEE MEANS NOTHING. Interesting though that yet again the company want to pass the book onto the manufactures.
