We’re very happy with our new gate. The build quality is fantastic and Connor was very helpful with answers to our questions. I would not hesitate to use Gates and Automation Direct again.

We have recently replaced our drive gates and service gate with steel framed gates with composite infill.
These well made gates were from Gates and Automation, the drawings were supplied from the measurements I provided following following the advice and assistance from Paul Thompson. The gates were fabricated ready for the fitting of the electric closures, we fitted them ourselves and Paul was always available if we had any questions. I have already recommended Gates and Automation to neighbours who have admire the gates. Thank you Paul and all at Gates and Automation

I purchased a new pedestrian gate from G&AD, as part of my home extension project, to be installed within a new brickwork wall we constructed. The quality of the new gate and posts is great and the customer service was very attentive when we experienced a couple of minor problems after the order was placed.

Pros:
- Product quality
- Assistance with pre-order queries
- Customer service
- Value for money

Cons:
- Third Party pallet delivery/logistics company service wasn't great.
- Incorrect handle delivered for our gate, but this was promptly dealt with by G&AD.

Would definitely recommend.

Our clients wish a external gate to the beach however it had to match existing gate to the front off the house.

I came across Gates & Automation quite by accident during a search off the local area. Glad I did excellent service.

I ordered a gate online and paid in full. I was contacted 2 days later being told they could not supply the gate for the price paid. It was their online prices, I was told if I wanted the gate I would have to pay another near £300, I requested a full refund which took nearly 4 weeks to receive.
Will never deal with this company again.

We wanted a gate that would not warp, buckle or shrink in the heat and this composite/steel gate is just perfect. We're never going to have to stain it ever again.
It's a quality product and arrived build just the way we envisaged it.

I contacted Paul Thomson, which he was very helpful. he gave me advice on type of gates to go for.
I chose black coated Graham framed double gates composite infill with a wood grain pattern. Everything went according to plan. The drawings were produced from the measurements I had taken. The gates were manufactured and delivered as scheduled, shrink wrapped, protected and palletised. I had decided to install them myself, which involved digging a deep hole (600mm) in depth and setting the post in concreting and then hanging the gates. The gates look really good and are built to last with minimum maintenance.

We went to the factory in Blantyre before ordering and Paul showed us round, answering all our questions. We were very impressed with the factory set up and the quality of the gates being produced. We chose black coated bifold gates with grey composite infill with a wood grain pattern. Everything went according to plan. The drawings were produced from the measurements we had taken. The gates were manufactured and delivered as scheduled, shrink wrapped, protected and palletised. We had elected to install them ourselves, which involved setting up and concreting in the two end posts and then hanging the four gates. Some heavy lifting was involved but everything fitted in place easily and my wife and I managed it all between us. The gates look really good and are built to last with minimum maintenance. They have already drawn admiring comments from our neighbours and passers-by. We are so pleased we chose these gates. The product and service from Gates and Automation Direct was first class from beginning to end.

Extremely impressed with the efficiency ,quality and care that was taken by Paul and his team from start to finish to manufacture to our bespoke design. Neighbours even commented even before we took them off the delivery pallet. So glad we chose this company to make our gates.

From order through to final delivery I felt these were a very professional company. On delivery that view was reinforced by the quality of the final product which was a bespoke sized side gate. Really happy with the gate and can definitely recommend these guys.

I found this manufacturer by accident but what a find, and is definitely the place if you want to have a substantial well made steel garden side gate, that looks exceptional.

The process of ordering the gate was easy and after providing dimensions and my requirments the drawing was sent via email without any issues.

Dealt with Paul Thompson who was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the whole process, quick to respond to email queries and gave me a final telephone call to ensure all was well.
The gate arrived, well packaged all parts were there as described and without any damage, the gates are not chaep but you are paying for the quality and it will last my lifetime once installed, I have to say it is worth every penny, looks stunning, very secure and really strong so no more twisting and wharping of my old wooden gate!

Definitely the place if you want to have a life time gate on you door, that is also looking fab.
It was not an easy decision to make an order without visiting a shop/firm and I was quite curious until the gate arrived. It’s not the cheap product I gotta say but, once I’ve installed it is worth every single penny and it looks stunning and safe.
It was also easy to alter the gate in my own way and gentlemen I was emailing with was 1st class to deal with. No issues with draw plans and all done in detail.

The product was a side entry gate, made to measure Hinged to open outwards from the property. Made from metal, galvanised and powder coated with recycled wooden planks. Very well made and a smooth finish. The lock on it is substantial and can be operated from either side. Assembly instructions was not supplied and although it wasn't complicated they would have been useful. Communication with the company was good and a process was in place to ensure it was made to the correct size. Lead time was 3 months so bare that in mind. Finally, it's worth noting that the hinges are visible when opening outwards whereas the are not if opening inwards. Definitely recommend the company.

Fantastic experience. Needed custom made driveway gates as existing gates different sizes. Ordered the tall McAdam Composite gates, provided Connor with the dimensions and specs and shortly after received my technical drawing. The whole process from order to delivery has been seamless, and I have been extremely impressed with Connor’s communication, expertise, and clear guidance for measuring. Would highly recommend this company and would buy again from them. We love our new gates 😁

I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed by this company. The service level was first class and their representative (Connor) ensured I was kept well informed throughout the process. I just had to supply the measurements of the gap that I wanted the gate to fit and they did the rest. The gate design and build quality were superb, a really professional company.
