Looks good… until something goes wrong
I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I think it’s important people understand how a company behaves when things don’t go to plan.
On the face of it, Gateway2Lease appear to provide a good service. Their Trustpilot reviews suggest that when everything runs smoothly, the experience is positive. And to be fair, that may well be the case.
However, my experience was very different.
Initially, they secured me a vehicle and then later advised it was no longer available. These things can happen in leasing, so I didn’t make a major issue of it at the time—but in hindsight, it was an early warning sign.
The bigger issue came with delivery. I took time off work to receive the vehicle, and was repeatedly told it would be delivered that day. It never arrived, and there was no communication from the driver. Despite this, I was then expected to make myself available at short notice the following day, including stepping out of meetings to collect the car—which I ultimately had to do because I was left without transport after my existing vehicle had already been taken.
To their credit, they did uphold my complaint. However, this is where you really see how a company operates.
Despite acknowledging the situation, they refused to refund their £300 administration fee, maintaining that the issue was not their responsibility as a broker. Instead, they relied on a goodwill gesture from the delivery company, which was increased to £200 after challenge.
What was particularly disappointing was the handling from the “Customer Experience Manager,” who did very little to actually improve or manage my experience. The process became drawn out, and ultimately communication stopped altogether over what amounted to a relatively small difference (£100) needed to reach a fair settlement.
It’s easy for a company to look good when everything goes smoothly. The real test is how they respond when something goes wrong and whether they take ownership of the overall customer experience.
Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to consider that before choosing to use them.

I had a fantastic experience with Gateway2Lease from start to finish. The whole process of securing my EV lease was smooth, transparent, and far less stressful than I expected.
Communication was excellent throughout — quick responses, clear explanations, and no pushy sales tactics. They took the time to understand what I needed and helped me find the right deal without any hassle.
Everything was handled efficiently, and the delivery timeline was exactly as promised. It’s rare to find a service that’s both professional and genuinely easy to work with, but Gateway2Lease absolutely delivered.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking to lease an EV — I’ll definitely be using them again in the future.
