Fantastic service from GGF
Our case handler was Dave at GGF who was fantastic. We had many issues with the window company who initially disregarded our complaints regarding their window install and finish. After going through their complaint procedure for many months and getting nowhere, I contacted GGF. Dave expedited my complaint and giving it some time for negotiation between the glaziers, my complaints were resolved and my install finally finished without having to go through small claims. Dave responded quickly when contacted and kept me informed at all stages. He also kept my case open until I was happy with the end result. I am extremely happy with the service I received, appreciate his hard work in getting this resolved and I am so glad there is this body to deal with and take away the stress of the situation.
Very helpful resolution of complicated issue with window supplier.
I was forced to turn to the Glazing and Glass Federation as an arbiter when I had an intractable dispute with a window supplier. The team at the GGF were courteous and responsive. They were able to negotiate between myself and a window supplier, and while it took a number of months to resolve, their intervention completely changed the behaviour of the window supplier. We have reached an amicable settlement, so as far as I'm concerned these guys have done a fantastic job in helping me with the situation, but would otherwise likely have gone to court and incurred significant costs.
Assistance to resolve a dispute with Anglian
Every time I contacted them they acknowledged my email and got back to me with information or help in a timely manor. I felt supported.
First class service from GGF
I had an ongoing issue regarding a patio door the frame for the door was to big , causing the door to almost fall out of frame the company tried to rectify by modifying frame but it was rubbish and door did not operate or lock correctly I spent ages writing letters and compalining to company who supplied and fitted door but felt i was just being fobbed off , and it was taking months for company each time to come out and carry out unsatisfactory repairs . Eventualy I went to GGF and filled in their complaint form , next day company contacted me and arranged for an engineer to come out , the company agreed frame and door were fualty and repalced as soon as possible , all thru procedure GGF kept contact with me to ensure issue was in hand and being resolved I can not thank them enough in helping me resolve an issue that i was getting nowhere with until they got involved. The service I got from GGF was first class so glad I contacted them .

Cannot recommend. GGF FULLY DESERVE THE MANY ONE STAR REVIEWS. They do not enhance the credentials of traders, showing the trade in a bad light. They waste consumers and traders time by being slow and resistant to investigating complaints, restricting them to a narrow range and dismissing breaches of their code of conduct - taking away the opportunity that traders have to improve.
A Federation with prompt, professional and successful service
I never realised there was an organisation such as the Glass and Glazing Federation who would handle complaints until I had been struggling to get the company who fitted new front and garage doors to my home to reply to my complaints. GGF sent me a well constructed form to complete after waiting 8 weeks for responses from the company which never came. When they did respond events happened swiftly and it was very reassuring to know that GGF was 'on the case' and getting responses and results very quickly.
GGF is unreachable - No Response to ADR Complaint
I filed an ADR complaint on 20 November and got an auto-reply saying I’d hear back within 1 business day. Nearly 2 weeks later, nothing. Emails are ignored, and when I call, the line says “user unavailable” and hangs up. Completely unreachable. This service is basically nonexistent.

Having experienced issues with Anglian Home Improvements, one of the members of GGF we escalated our complaint to The Glass and Glazing Federation in line with the complaints policy.
We have had no response to date despite chasing twice.
What is the point of a company promoting best practice. setting industry standards and influencing legislation when they don't uphold their own standards. Absolutely useless.

Superb advice about my issues. Even though they had gone bust I was told to check my documents for the insurance. But before that Layton phoned me & talked me through filing a form with my credit company.

Unreasonable and unreachable
My experience with the GGF mediation process was one sided. They decided against me based on a report produced by their member which they refused to even show me. This was after many months of chasing them.

They couldn’t look at my claim as they wanted a contract which I didn’t get.
All the work was private work I showed them bank statements where I had paid evander.
What a waste of time and organisation.

Absolutely disgusting disrespectful and unprofessional service. It remains unclear why such 'an agency' exist at all.
5 Star Service from the GGF!
We had been communicating with Anglian Home Improvements for 9 months, exchanging over 100 emails and further messages and texts to various members of their staff about repair of the damage they did when a replacement window was installed and compensation for the other trades we had to employ for rectification after they left us in a state that had to be seen to be believed but we were getting nowhere. We were at our wits end and thinking we would have to go to the small claims court but as a last resort we contacted the GGF. Ms Akinsiku responded to our complaint, contacting Anglian Upper Management and within the week a Brick-layer from Anglian was at our door and having checked the brickwork, came back as soon as the weather permitted and rebuilt the back wall of our house around the window. A few weeks later we received the cheque for other remedial work. Ms Akinsiku was brilliant and we have to thank her and the GGF for putting things right!
