We needed a tent in a hurry following a storm wrecking our existing one on holiday.
We ordered online and it was ready to collect in 4 hours

First of all I have to thank Jack for his services, issue was I bought a wind breaker x 2. When I come to open the second one it had been used and someone had put it back for re sale or possibly came from manufacturing.
Jack sorted everything else and couldn’t be more nice . Thanks Jack .

Excellent service from Kayleigh who showed me many different makes and styles of walking shoes/trainers and gave unbiased advice. Finally decided on Merrell Moab for style and comfort.

Return faulty tent. Walk out with replacement in 10 minutes with no aggro. A few simple questions and off we went with no fuss. Staff very helpful.

Charlene was really helpful and helped me find exactly what I was looking for.

I visited this store to look at Berghaus camping kitchen and storage units plus some pegs and sim and other bits. I was served by Jack who had the patience of a saint. Demonstrating exactly how the equipment was assembled and then packed away allowing me to make sure I could do this when camping for the first time in 40 years. Tom then carried all the gear to my car and helped stack it in. I joined as a member and I think the helpfulness of the staff was 100%. I will be back for more I am sure thank you.

I first visited this store in June 2025 and was impressed by the excellent service and the wide range of equipment they had in stock. I signed up and became a member because I knew I would be returning.

Now, in June 2026, I'm back in the store, and the staff still recognised me from my previous visit. They couldn't do enough to help. They sorted me out with a great tent for my eight-week camping trip, along with various other items I needed for my holiday.

The manager, Phil, was exceptional. He personally called me to resolve an issue with an item that was unavailable and came up with a suitable alternative. This is exactly the kind of customer service we need from large chain companies like Go Outdoors.

A big thank you to Phil and the team for once again providing outstanding service. I'll certainly be returning and would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for quality outdoor equipment and knowledgeable, friendly staff.

I visited this branch to buy a new pair of walking boots as the sole was coming away from one of my current boots that I had bought six months previously. The store assistant Charlene said that the sole should not be coming away like it was after six months. She spoke to the deputy manager Linzi who agreed and they gave me a full refund which I used towards a new replacement pair. I did not ask for a refund but they were so conscientious and customer focused that they noticed the manufacturing fault and refunded me without me asking. I wasn’t expecting one. BTW my new boots fit perfectly. I will definitely be returning to this store to buy boots when the new ones need replacing. Excellent service. Thank you.

I needed some walking shoes the man that served me was quick and efficient, while I waited for my wife I then went to the counter to pay and Emilia served me was polite when my phone rang and I answered it as it was important I apologised as I never liked that when I worked in a shop.
