Gift Voucher

Ordered a gift voucher to be delivered , Friday lunchtime. Delivered by midday Monday and cheaper than Royal Mail first class. Excellent !!! Recipient was delighted !!!

Disappointed in that the gift card was posted 2nd class and the envelope was split down both sides
Luckily the card was between the order form and had not fallen out

We are sorry to hear that your gift card arrived to you in such a condition. Your gift card should have been sent via 1st class post and we are going to check with the post office why they sent it 2nd class and remind them that all the envelopes that we drop off with them are to be sent 1st class. We will also look at our envelopes to double check the quality. We haven't had this issue before but it certainly should not have arrived split down both sides. Please accept our sincere apologies. We are very glad to hear that the gift card itself had not fallen out and so made its way to you safely. If it had of fallen out however we would of course have issued you with a replacement. We hope that this experience has not deterred you from shopping with us in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

Todmorden branch

Todmorden branch.
I have been visiting this store for 30 - 40 years or more. Generally helpful staff throughout these years. The last several years i have felt an undercurrent of less enthusiasm from the staff. Barely a smile or interaction from them as you pass around the store. Yesterday 22nd jan, 2024. My partner and myself was browsing some left over Christmas articles and we had decided to pick a few stuff up on the way out after our shopping of plants. Unfortunately the product we wanted was no longer on display but the women was still packing up. My partner asked if they was still available. ‘No they’re packed away and we don’t know where they are’ cut a dry. No, I’ll just nip and look or anything from the woman. Disappointing attitude to be honest. The garden centre has excelled in its displays over the last years, with what looks like a massive financial investment, and it’s a credit to the company. Maybe it’s time to bring the staff up to scratch to, within their customer services interaction.

Ordered gift card to be delivered by…

Ordered gift card to be delivered by Gordon Riggs on the 22 of December
Gordon Riggs with no communication with me changed the delivery method to Royal Mail on the 23rd
Still no voucher on the 6 th of January delivery address only 20 mins from the Rochdale store

Please accept our sincere apologies, the delivery method required was clearly over looked as we do usually send vouchers out via Royal Mail first class post however going forward we are committed to being more vigilant with regards to the delivery method selected by a customer for vouchers. I can however see that we posted your voucher out the same day it was purchased and we are very sorry to hear that it had not been received as of the 6th January. I have issued a refund for all delivery costs paid. Please email us at sales@gordonrigg.com if the gift card has still not been received by the beginning of next week and we will re issue a new gift card. We are very sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience that has been caused and we hope that this has not deterred you from shopping with us again in the future.

I can see that you placed the order with us on the 19th December and we posted it our to you via Royal Mail 1st class post on the 20th December. We hope that the voucher has since been received however if it hasn't please let us know via email at sales@gordonrigg.com so we can re issue a new one for you. We are sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience that has been caused and we hope that this has not deterred you from shopping with us again in the future.
