Very Professional, very good advice. Excellent service. At first, I thought the fees were a little steep. Once I appreciated the complexity of transferring a defined benefits pension, the fees are very reasonable indeed.

I won't go into the boring details of my situation. What I will say is that Grove Pensions were extremely professional and helpful despite having a rather cantankerous customer who was rather annoyed at the prospect of shelling out nearly £4k to enable a small DB pension transfer.
After reviewing my info I received an abridged report (and this part is free of charge) which included a call from the adviser who explained how the 'real' value of the pension was hidden away from the headline numbers. On this basis I chose not to transfer, and didn't have to pay anything.
If you are considering a DB transfer, be very wary of the numbers. Mine gave a piffling annual income- it turns out this was the value in 1991, not 2025. I was shocked when this was explained to me, and can see how many people may get misled into transferring when they really shouldn't.

Getting a DB transfer done nowadays is hard work! I originally went with another firm, who eventually decided that they couldn't help, but did pass me on to Grove. Having gone to Grove Pension Solutions, everything went far more smoothly than I expected. Gina and Kevin were responsive throughout and I got the transfer done on time and without hitch. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The whole journey from start to finish was done in a highly professional manner. Grove have a duty of course to ensure you fully understand the implications of such a transfer, so this was always re-iterated along the process. There is no guarantee Grove will recommend a transfer as it's down to your individual situation. But having worked in finance for many years I was already aware of all the pros and cons but was still determined to make the transfer as it suited our aims. It was also extremely difficult to find a company that concentrated on such transactions, so it was a relief to find Grove. The process takes a few months as you would expect, but I was kept informed at all times what to expect next. We had a client manager, Bluebelle to turn to with any queries and had regular updates from other staff. The transfer went through successfully in April having made the initial contact in the Nov prior. Delighted with this end result.

Truly awful experience with this company. I had to take matters into my own hands with one of my pension funds to get the best result possible for myself. Grove insisted I had missed a deadline when I had not. The full amount was paid by the pension provider once I evidenced my forms had met the deadline for receipt. Grove could have done this if they were bothered and they were insisting that I had to accept a lower amount by circa £20k. Lazy and inefficient company. Avoid.

Dan and his hard working team at Grove Pensions helped me achieve my goals I wouldn't hesitate to contact Grove Pensions again future.

Did everything that was expected in a timely manner

Grove Pension Solutions dealt with and managed my Defined Benefit Pension transfer after 2 other companies had failed. Everyone I dealt with was outstanding with their help, advise and support, especially Owen who was always on hand to answer my queries. Izzy who completed my full advise and the Pension Transfer explained everything to me and made sure I fully understood the details. I would highly recommend Grove Pension Solutions to everyone, just wish I had dealt with them first.

It is a long process, started around September 2023, but you have peace of mind at the end.

Passed onto Grove by Manning and Co. To coordinate the transfer of 2 pensions into one fund. Communications and advice throughout the lenghty transfer process was second to none. All worked very well and in favour of my particular situation and future requirements. Cannot fault the service I received from Grove. Five Stars.
