I've just used Groves Gas, on a friend's recommendation, to carry out a repair and safety check on my central heating system. They did an excellent job and all is now working as it should. There were multiple faults: engineer Gareth took care to explain to me exactly what work was needed and why. Parts were sourced and the job completed within a couple of days. Top marks to engineers Gareth and Michael: thoroughly courteous, first-rate workmanship, and completely straightforward.
I will have no hesitation in using Groves Gas for any future work, and in recommending them to friends.

Recently had Groves Gas in to fit our kitchen tiles, outdoor tap and light fittings - perfect work by all and nothing was too much trouble!
My partner and I could not be happier with the result and will always return as a result of the friendly, professional and efficient service provided!

We are really pleased with our new boiler installation. The engineers worked really hard and explained everything. They left the house clean and tidy. Also excellent customer service from the office.

Our boiler (a Vaillant) was installed around 10 years ago and has been generally good. In the last few months developed some problems (while still able to function).
We called in our usual engineers who said that really it needed to be scrapped and to put it right was more than it was worth. What appalled us was the apparent acceptance of such a short life-span and we had a crash course in learning about this....in the process of which we got to understand that this was a common state of affairs. No doubt the boilers are very good and work very hard but we had never considered this, and just assumed, like a car, that one might have 20 years of life, including repairs from time to time.
So at first we were taken aback. Then we started to try and find a way of not simply accepting this.
After a lot of looking and deliberating, in discussion with Groves, we decided on repair.
This was done, in a logical steps, at a very reasonable price. Clean precise work.

Still going great, so we more than made our money back spent fixing the boiler.

fitted an outside tap for us few years ago and really happy with the work done. no mess. would recommend them to anyone.

I've had a contract with Groves Gas for a few years and have always found them exemplary. Servicing is performed promptly with no mess or fuss and the engibeers are always friendly and professional.

I had a problem with my heating system depressurising. SSE were unable to fix the problem despite changing several parts (unnecessarily ad it turned out) but Groves Gas got it right (broken expansion vessel) and it's been fine ever since.

Would definitely recommend. They are not under rediculous time pressure to rush jobs as quickly as possible, unlike some of the national companies.

Came to look at potential installation. No further response. Chased office who said they would get back to us. NOTHING. Very unreliable.

The service we have received has been second to none. We just wish we had called Groves Gas first after some poor experiences with other local services. Kirsty did as she promised and always called us back and provided regular updates. The quote arrived quickly after a full and thorough survey from Mike. He was so personable and approachable and explained everything to me throughout. He is a fabulous engineer. Jake and Ben were also hard grafters. At Little Chums Nursery (New Inn, Pontypool), we use Groves Gas for all our boiler/heating servicing and repairs, as well as for all our little plumbing repairs.

All the engineers/plumbers that attend are always friendly, courteous and polite and carry out effective work that is complete to a high standard the first time. The same can be said about the office staff who always do their best to ensure someone visits the same day we call.

Little Chums Nursery has no hesitation in recommending Groves Gas. We trust them completely; we even have a maintenance agreement with them!

Groves Gas have done two jobs for us this year, a new boiler installation and fitting sliding shower doors.
The work on both projects was carried out really well with the minimum disruption and at a very fair price.

I had an excellent service from Groves Gas from start to finish. I am extremely pleased with my boiler installation. The work was completed with minimum disruption and each day was given a detailed update of the schedule and where we were with it. Each day the area of work was put back into the same condition it was found and the engineers were extremely tidy. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

I've just had full gas central heating installed in a house which has never had gas before. 5 stars aren't enough to do justice to Groves Gas. The work, which was more than complicated, was completed to a standard above and beyond excellent. The unexpected bonus was the people. The engineers were a joy and delight to have around and the admin staff gave friendly and timely communication. They transformed what could have been a nightmare into a positively enjoyable experience.
