Good Quality product Quick delivery and good communication

It was really easy to order and fast delivery from date shipped. Really happy with the products. Very satisfied customer.

Placed an order 24th June, still waiting for arrival, communication post order appalling, would not use this company again. Extremely disappointed. Still have no confirmed delivery date.

Let me start off by saying I feel bad for this business. Theyre obviously being flogged in this pandemic. So in light of this I'll start with the good stuff.

Good Stuff:
(The Product)
I ordered the 'Adjustable Barbell Squat Stands with Dip Handles' from them. I'm definitely satisfied with the product. It's very stable when benching (it will slide instead of tip over if you push against it). I feel confident slamming the weight onto the hooks after a set (when benching). I can't say the same for squats. It's definitely strong and sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight but it's not stable enough to just slam the weight back onto the hooks after a set. You've just to gently place it. You can safely squat 200kg on this stand as long as you have the control and stability to walk it back and gently place it on. Don't use this stand for anything you can't do for reps.

(The Delivery Speed)
It took me about a week a half to get my rack. It came in two seperate deliveries on two different days but I had all of it within 9 days. Pretty okay.

Bad Stuff:
(Holes in the box)
When it got to me there were fist sized holes in the box. It wasn't from mishandling, it was because the packaging was non-existant. The box was triple the size of the product leaving massive hollows areas in the box which could easily be punctured. Use a little styrofoam or something. Don't just put all the parts in a plastic bag, throw them in a massive empty box. They're going to rattle around in that thing. Fill in the empty space with something soft.

On one of the legs there is a plate with branding on it. Half bent off the metal. I don't know if this is because of the poor packaging (probably) or rough handling but it would take a decent amount of force to rip that metal plate off. It was no big deal. The plate is just for the logo anyway. I ended up just prying it off but be a little more careful with the goods and again, package the items better.

(The never ending sale)
Literally all of their products are on sale, all the time. Don't buy anything because it's on sale. Buy it because you like it and think it's reasonably priced. They sell decent stuff but when everything is on sale it comes off as very dodgy.

Ultimately, I probably will buy something from them again but only small things that are hard to screw up in shipping. Even though I had a bad experience I still think the vast majority of these bad reviews aren't warranted. Chill out, people.

Great experience except there was a mistake in the products I received, meaning I had to return the wrong products and get the correct ones.

Gym Direct took 9 days to send a small parcel meant to contain 4 x 1.25kg weight plates. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong sized plates, but they also only sent 2 of the ordered plates. I live in Brisbane so postage should be a few days at most. It also took longer than needed to sort out the re-sending of the full amount of plates that I had ordered, and no apology or discount or store credit was offered to me for their mistake. Other online gym product retailers offer much faster postage, much better service and much better overall customer satisfaction.

Gym Direct's service and delivery was excellent. My sister and I ordered the same product at the same time but in separate orders and asked for it to be delivered to our parent's place. Gym Direct contacted my sister the next day to confirm the rural address and within the week, both sets of dumbbells had been delivered directly to the door. That's amazing! Our usual experience with deliveries by non-Australia Post couriers is that our orders are left at a store on the highway 20km away, so we definitely appreciated this above and beyond service (and so did our mum!).

Morgan bar and black bumper plates are good, they just do what they should. Bar has had 195kg on it so far with no problems.

Good service and product.

Their products and shipping are great. I bought a kettlebell from them and it was delivered quickly. I'm looking to buy another one and I keep ending up back here

Everything was quick, seamless and high quality.

The experience I had was second to none. I didn't have any problems ordering the products that I was looking for. The Customer service was great.

Poor quality. There are scratches on all the weights I received.

Bought two items during covid, found the store to be helpful with communication and letting everyone know where things were at. Love the products and find them to be good quality.

Easy to use site, equipment arrived in a timely mannor.

I ordered a set of 80kg rubber coated adjustable dumbbells in late March 2020 and I received 75/80kg by mid June, 2020. 429 days after my order, I still have not received my entire order and I have had very limited correspondence on when the remaining 5kg will come. In the meantime, GymDirect has offered to give me metal plates instead of rubber coated but I declined as this is not what I ordered.

GymDirect has collected payments for a product that they have not had in stock for 429 days and counting. I am still yet to receive my full order after over 1 year of waiting and I have not been advised on when it will actually come, if at all.

No aircon and I was made to wait standing in a little hotbox front office. Service was terrible. I was not given any advice on the equipment I was looking for and the rep had the personality of an automaton. Felt like a warehouse that sells stuff retail on the side. Would not recommend.

Excellent service and very prompt delivery.

Ordered a kettlebell which got lost by shipping company 10 days after shipping. Gym direct was proactive and contacted me informing me about the situation, and sent a new one which arrived soon after.

Great quality product and getting a lot of use!
