I rented a flat through Haart while waiting for my property purchase to complete. During that time, I paid my rent on time and provided a deposit just like any other tenant.
Once my property purchase was finalised, Haart failed to return both my tenancy deposit and the rent I had overpaid. Despite numerous emails, phone calls, and repeated attempts to resolve the issue, including contacting several managers, my money has still not been returned.
It is absolutely shocking that a company can treat customers this way. I have done everything required of me, yet I have been left out of pocket and completely ignored. I now feel I have no choice but to escalate the matter to Trading Standards and seek legal advice from solicitors.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability shown throughout this process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Haart to anyone.

Our experience with Haart over the past three years has been extremely disappointing, and I feel it is my responsibility to warn both landlords and tenants to be very careful before working with this agency.

The main issue throughout our entire tenancy was their complete lack of communication, responsibility, and professionalism. Phone calls and emails were consistently ignored, sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks and when we finally did receive a reply, it was rarely clear or helpful. We have proof of the numerous calls we made trying to resolve ongoing problems, with little to no support from them.

During these three years, we encountered multiple issues with the property that were never properly addressed through the agency. Despite the fact that we, as tenants, invested a significant amount of money into improving and maintaining the house, the situation only became more frustrating over time and made us feel completely taken advantage of.

To make matters worse, after the first year of renting, the rent was increased by £400 without any prior notice, we were simply informed after the decision had already been made. This year, they attempted to add up to another £300, which we refused, especially since essential repairs were still not completed. These included replacing the upstairs windows, through which we were losing all the heat in winter and paying extremely high gas bills, as well as dealing with serious mould issues around the windows and even on the bathroom ceiling.

When our contract was close to expiring, we contacted them repeatedly to understand what would happen next, whether the rent would increase again and if they were finally willing to carry out the minimum necessary repairs so we could make an informed decision. Once again, we faced total silence. Only after the contract had already expired did we receive a very casual email apologising for the lack of response, blaming it on being “too busy”.

We then informed them that we would not be continuing and that we would be moving out. Their response was shocking: they claimed that because the contract had already expired, we were now liable for an extra month’s rent. We strongly disagreed, as we had tried for days to get in touch with them in advance. Their failure to respond should not become the tenant’s problem.

After even more calls, one of their many property managers finally told us that once we returned the keys to their office, the contract would automatically end and no additional rent would be due. We followed exactly what we were told, vacated the property and handed in the keys.

Just when we thought the situation was finally resolved in a professional manner, we received yet another surprise: a letter stating that we are now 21 days overdue on rent!!!

This entire experience shows a pattern of misinformation, poor organisation, and extremely questionable business practices. They say one thing and do another. At this point, we are seriously considering taking legal action, as we have all the evidence of the contradictions and lack of professionalism.

In conclusion: Haart is not a reliable agency. If you are a landlord or a tenant, please do your research carefully before signing anything with them. Our experience has been stressful, exhausting, and deeply unfair and I truly hope others will not have to go through the same situation.

Don’t ever give these time wasters your flat or house to let. Absolute waste of time. No customer support at all. Finally evicted tenants from destroyed property costing us £15,000 and still no contact at all from the letting dept. Disgraceful

She came and took clear, professional photos, explained the selling process and along with other colleagues attended viewings. From the start she was realistic about what sale price we could achieve in the current market. We did obtain the price she suggested. Sale was managed well up to and after exchange of contracts.

By far Haart Ilford are the worst agency I have dealt with, I wouldn’t even give them one star if I could help it. Jaaz hasn’t got a clue and the rest of the team aren’t far off, wasted six weeks of my time, talking utter nonsense, we then went with another agency, had several offers and sold within 2 weeks!

I HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS AGENCY!!! Very unfriendly agency for disabled people and not very helpful in solving problems.

This agency exists only for the process and signing of documentation, but in the background there is a landlord waiting for you who does not follow the regulations.

When, after the early termination of the contract, I informed the agent Callum Kai L. about the problems with the studio flat and the landlord, the agent wrote to me that he was shocked because he had been cooperating with the landlord for a long time and there had been no problems with him. This is strange to me because the agency is on the landlord's side and benefits from it.

I rented from a landlord (AQS Investment - Yasser S.) who has several houses, which is divided into several rooms for rent as a studio flat. I think taxes are wasted when someone doesn't inspect homes. The corridor and the shared kitchen are very dirty, I didn't notice there was anyone cleaning for a long time. Studio flat there is moisture on the ceiling. There are also children living in the studio flat, there is a high probability that it is not legal.
For the second winter season, I had to use a small electric heater because the central heating did not work and although it had been repaired many times. But I paid the same rent, without central heating. It was impossible to leave a heated electric one without being home.

I also noticed that the landlord throws letters into the trash that previously belonged to another tenant. This is proof that he is irresponsible.

Their feedback will be of little value to me, what matters here is the facts between the landlord
