Worst agency ever.. All they are interested is in your money.. Please think twice

Our experience with Haart has been awful. After two years of trying they have failed to sell my father’s flat in Bracknell. Dad died a year ago and, following numerous false promises, price drops and being told ‘exchange is close’ we have still not sold it. The company’s general mediocrity was outdone by Area Manager Ben Hamlin who has excelled himself - disrespectful, unprofessional and evasive barely scratch the surface of his performance. Dreadful service from start to dismal end.

Haart lost my property keys and then repeatedly made excusing, blaming tenants and to date failing to provide any information, even though one of their Directors Natalie Giles and Shakeerah Chowdhary Bell discussed the keys being collected. Both are now being dishonest and avoiding providing any details how the keys were lost. The only way to expose Haart of their breach of contract and their lies was to request information from Haart under the Data protection and finally after reviewing the correspondence/data received, it is evident that 2 key sets were given to Andrea Costa in June 2023 and 1 key set given in May 2023, initially for viewings. Andrea Costa continues to lie and blame the tenants but how can he deny his own written emails? Andrea Costa is an extremely unprofessional and dishonest individual & Haart have continued to display complete unprofessionalism and have a complete biased Complaints Process where Haart is always right and it is always the landlord and Tenants who are wrong. To date still trying to get my set of keys back. Complete Sham of an organisation!

Dishonest people. Unprofessional. Requested a 3 bedroom house. 3 adults 1 child. A house near a child s school. The agents took all the money required from us. References done and was told the keys for a house in Maidenhead was ready by 28th March afternoon. The lady we were dealing with in order to give us keys, having packed staff, told the landlord that we were moving out on 28th March, then all of a sudden, after phoning, i was shocked to be told " there is bad news" The land lord this the landlord that. this lady took us for fools. Then i said give us our money back so that we would deal with better agents like chancellers. Chancellers infact had better houses in the area near our child s school and they are very professional. Only that they require a lot of deposit, not Haart.

The person they call Branch Manager told us the refund will take 28 days what nonsense. So Haart Maidenhead let us down last minute. Refused to give us all our money that day, but instead stated it takes 28 days for a refund to get in our bank. I was flabbergasted. A member of staff led us to the only property which they said was the only available. A flat. With 2 tiny rooms which they call 2 bedroom flat. Even when we had emphasised "WE DO NOT NEDD A FLAT" they still abused us as they witheld our money. Avoid Haart at all costs. In the second box room which they call second bedroom even a bed dont fit. The other bedroom our super king bed could not fit. Our 75" tele could not go on the wall because the walls are cheap cardbord. Chip material. The cooker looked very old i think year 1902. The agent who was showing us this flat was even wearing a suit. With hands thrust in the pockets. To me it appeared he felt he had done an excellent job of getting the ugly old flat occupied. He felt heroic. I think back to the office, he was with the other fellows discussing us that we have moved in. But i had told the Manager that what they did was not good. However they will ask for favour following months. Viewing the flat I looked at the agent and at first i thought he was joking and that he was going to show us the real accommodation where a human being should live. Ooh no, he was serious. It was the place they found fit for us and was the reason they said the refund was to take 28 days yet when they requested full payment, we wired the money in seconds. It did not take 28 days. Avoid Haart lettings.

Then someone on a high rank in the office, upon asking him why have you shown us a flat when infact we had told you we wanted a house? Then he stereotyped me and my heavily pregnant wife and daughter " because we did not want you to be homeless" he barked that way. I was so astounded.

They put us in an abusive situation of holding our money and knowing there would be no where we can find such money but to sign the lease for the flat which we never applied for nor referenced for, also we were meant to move as 3 adults in order to find ways to go to work as someone will go night, someone day shift amd a child has someone every time. But NO the educated fellows thought for us. A flat. 2 adults only allowed in this flat. Barked the man who was showing us the ugly flat. They do not care at all. The flat very far from our child s school.

Seeing that they had dealt with us in a way they wanted and that we were not happy, they passed us into the hands of Reading branch to deal with different persons. The 3 guys in Maidenhead office lettings department should be avoided. They will let you down after they have taken your money.

They knew the old flat, with noisy foot steps above would have no one who likes to live in there but took advantage of us. Most of our property was left behind because of Haart. We lost a sliding door wadrobe, and a 3 seater leather sofa and some other office staff all worthy £3300 as their is no space in the ugly tiny flat.

So they will make references for a house which you want but then becareful as they will tell you stories afterwards. They lie. Gave my wife 3 sets of wrong keys on 3 different occassions, deliberately in order to do away with her off the office. Regardsless that she was heavily pregnant. Ruthless.

Andrea, my manager, always made time to address any issues I had. He supported me every step of the way. He is very professional and supportive.

They would just keep your holding deposit and make a bogus claim against you saying you didn't provide this paperwork or that. Proper scam artist specially a guy called ANDREA from lettings department. Do Not trust him. He is there leader.

Viewing of flat was professional. It certainly was a team effort between Jasmine and Andrea to arrange the checks and agreement. Andrea was knowledgeable about the local area. Only a four star because although I signed contract for 6/10/23, the Estate Agents thought I was collecting keys on 7/10/23. The flat wasn’t clean so I wasn’t able to sleep there the first night.

Unfortunately a poor experience. We thought the market was just slow, which is why we hadn’t heard anything. Turned out the person selling our property resigned. Property was not handed over to someone else and we were not informed. Lost months of time and turned out people had expressed interest and no one followed them up. Expressed our disappointment but still nothing was activated afterwards and we were no further on by September. Lost the whole summer. No apology. More miscommunication followed and by that point we had zero confidence these guys know what they’re doing and moved on. Please don’t send a generic ‘this is not our 5 star service’ message. Just sort out your internal comms.
