After years as one of HAAWK (Identifyy's) largest and earliest clients, I never expected leaving them to be this bad. I was actively recruited, trusted them with my entire catalog, and even recommended them to colleagues. The moment I decided to move to another provider, everything changed.

When I informed them I was leaving, they immediately offered a better revenue split to convince me to stay. I declined. What followed felt like a deliberate attempt to make my departure as difficult as possible.

First, their support gave me the wrong contract end date. I only got the correct one after following up a second time. Worth noting: Identifyy never provides clients with a copy of their contract. They refer you to a general page with no indication of when your specific contract started.

When I requested my YouTube asset IDs, I was told YouTube does not allow sharing them externally. This is false. Providing asset IDs upon offboarding is standard practice across the industry, confirmed in writing by multiple other providers.

Instead of following the standard Content ID transfer procedure, Identifyy simply deactivated all references, making it impossible for my new provider to take ownership normally. I am now forced to manually re-upload thousands of tracks from scratch. Months of work that should have taken days.

My assets were removed the very next day after I notified them I was leaving, breaking the entire transfer process and leaving my catalog unmonetized for weeks. Days later, their representative wrote confirming they would be removed on the originally agreed date. The assets were already gone.

After all this, all my tracks still show as active in the dashboard. When I asked, I was told to check the dashboard. This directly contradicts everything they told me.

They also contacted me after our contract had already ended to offer Meta monetization. Either they had no idea the contract was over, or they were making one last attempt to retain me.

When they needed my business, responses were fast and friendly. The moment I raised legitimate concerns, the tone shifted to short, passive aggressive replies, then complete silence, despite clear deadlines and plenty of time to deal with everything in a professional manner.

I am not alone. There are plenty of reviews online describing the exact same pattern. The contract term is three years. Miss your exit window by even one day and you are locked in for another three. Do not take that risk lightly.

If they are willing to mislead and obstruct during offboarding, ask yourself: can they really be trusted with something as important as your royalties?

Document everything and think very carefully before signing up.

Scam company. Automated copyright claims on free to use music in the hope that people don't put in the effort required to contest it and then they can cream off your content.

HAAWK for a 3rd Party engages in questionable practices, including filing false copyright claims, leading to widespread allegations that it operates like a scam. I have very bad experience from them on youtube, and I am actually taking steps to report them for fraud and take this case futher as I am gathering thousands of youtubers that can proove their false copywrights claims.

This piece of crap company made a false copyright claim on my video on YT which I created the music myself and others I have a contract and license from the creator to use; they reject your disputes. Scumbag fake company that does this to all creators, please file a bunch of complaints to FBI for internet crime and leave them negative reviews everywhere.

They just claimed copyright for a song I created myself in Garage Band. Literally made each note myself on a keyboard, used it as a soundtrack to my game trailer, and this company claimed it as their copyright.

YouTube believes them by default, even though there are thousands if not a million or more posts about these liars.

This company made a false copyright claim on my YouTube channel. I was a guest on a podcast and I uploaded the recording of the podcast to my YouTube channel this scamming company filed a copyright on my channel for a 9-second outro of music from the podcast at the end of the show. It was not a piece of copyrighted music and I appealed it these scammers would not say they made a mistake but doubled down. This company is nothing but a con job. Trying to ruin the livelihoods of innocent people.

They suck got 50 copyright claims from these bozos

I have been with this company for 5 years and have had several issues with getting my royalties paid. On January 30th they didn't pay me my quarter and they just make excuses.

The support team is horrible, they don't care. After seeing all these bad reviews here, I understand why this company has such a bad reputation. Scott Pretty and his team's customer service is horrible, the worst I've seen from a company.

Ryan Born and his company only post on social media that they make millions of dollars, now I understand how they do it, stealing from all the artists like me. This won't just be a simple complaint, I'm going to inform my lawyer and expose everything on my social media (+300K Followers on all social networks).

Scammers and Thieves.

No integrity, just claim everything is theirs even though we've paid for music on videos and have proof of subscriptions. How are they allow to exist, they just waste everybodies time.

It's a scam company that puts copyright claims on music used in YouTube videos, when they have ZERO ownership on. They're stealing revenue from people. Do not trust this company, they're thieves, who will probably end up sued at some point.

Another piece of sh**( scam 3rd party company under YouTube! Corrupted and dirty, just wanting to steal from the small artists and prevent them from seeing their dreams! YouTube is so untrustworthy anymore! Don't trust these companies that they hire to screw you over for their own gains, make sure to fight back to take them down!

Pior empresa que já conheci em toda minha carreira.

Atendimento ao cliente é horrível, você não consegue receber seus rendimentos, não te dão atenção quando necessário. Pedi pra retirarem meu catalogo da plataforma porque não quiseram me pagar, tenho mais de $100 USD retidos na empresa que não me pagaram. Pior burrada que fiz foi ter confiado nessa empresa.

Fraud! Thanks to them anyone can claims copyright to someone else songs. It’s just killing the YouTuber, content creators and even the original artist of the songs. We need winning petition and hopefully the authorities will soon dissolve them!

Dishonest organization that preys on YouTube creators who don't know their rights. They file automatic claims on music that they know is not theirs, hoping that the ignorant will buy a license from them.
