This is my honest review after 6 months utilizing HAAWK’s services granted to them by Google, a service known as YouTube Content ID (CMS) tool. Lets be real, getting approved for Content ID directly from YouTube as an individual is not easy as this tool can be powerful if misused that's why YouTube reserves approvals for major labels and large media outlets, leaving artists to rely on third-party services like Adrev or HAAWK, Inc or similar. My music royalties was managed via Identifyy dot com dashboard, where we upload reference files for approval. Upon detection of matching content on YouTube platform, claims may be labeled as “HAAWK for 3rd Party,” representing artists like me as a third party.

Despite respecting HAAWK’s prerogative to end agreements without prior notice, I believe effective communication is essential. Regrettably, I received no notification from HAAWK, and my attempts to contact them were met with silence, even when revisiting previous approval correspondences via email. They have withheld all revenue from claims on my assets, a act that could be seen as unfair and possibly in violation of YouTube’s Content ID policies. When it was time for my payment, I encountered an error message on my Identifyy dashboard, found myself banned, and discovered my assets removed from their files. The dashboard showed this message "Sorry, You are not authorized to perform this action."

HAAWK also alleges to monetize assets on Facebook, which I found to be inaccurate as I personally manage my content with Meta Rights Manager and have not detected any activity from them. The royalties I’ve seen are solely from claimed YouTube videos featuring my music. With my music now removed from their database, it complicates any potential investigation by YouTube into their Content ID violations. If you’re considering HAAWK’s services, I urge you to document all earnings reports, as they may withhold your royalties—something I experienced firsthand six months in, right before one week payment was due. This situation is alarming, and I strongly recommend against using their services. I advise considering all available reviews online before making your decision. Your music distributor might be the only best option. Remeber to also consider reviewing their Identifyy Terms and Conditions before moving forward with HAAWK.

Absolute joke of a company. Why do you block every single video with music on? You never once check to see if we have paid to use it.

Every single time!!! It is a waste of time as most of us actually pay to use the music. I guess this is about you and YouTube increase your revenues. Funny how certain popular music is aloud and other copyright issues. Does it make YouTube advert money?

Stop automatically filing claims where there is proof of purchase. You check with the company not bully and hassle us.

I run a YouTube channel and before now I thought I was the only one. NOT only do they commit fraud they also commit extortion. If you don’t go through the hoops on their site they will reject the dispute on YouTube. Even then they reject your disputes. I’m using pixabay music and getting claimed by them. Report them to the fbi Interpol all agencies. Make sure they don’t have a legal safe leg.

They stole my money (8000€)

Never work with them, very rude staff. They terminated my account without giving any reason, now they keep all my songs monetized even tho my whole account is terminated. Also about 8000€ got stolen by HAAWK.

If you ever speak with (Alex from Identifyy), report him to HAAWK, so HAAWK can fire this idi*t.

Not having good customer feedback as well as no payout at a time, really so much disappointed service (Haawk, Identifyy) feels like a scam. I never recommend anyone using it. The quarter 4 payout was on April 30, but it's already been 2 weeks or more, and they are still not responding to texts and making excuses by saying your payment will be sent this week. Don't trust this site! They look good at first glance, but later they simply ignore the text and delay for a long time. In a week, they only got work for 5 days, and even on those days, they didn't respond. I have been waiting for my first payment since April 30 and still have no clue what reason they are holding it for. I provided every piece of evidence, i.e., photo ID, biometrics, and the W-9. I will file a case regarding this Haawk fraud.

Continually issues fictious copyright complaints against created works on youtube for music that does not belong to them.

I recently started streaming and use music by Infraction while streaming. This music is free to use and has no copyright's attached, but for some reason HAAWK seems to think they own the music and content ID claims every single video I have ever made.
I would then have to go and manually dispute every single claim.

They claim things that they do not own and to make matters worst they would hold off on releasing the video until the dispute expires, especially when the video gets alot of views. They often commit fraud and get away with it, discgracefull.

HAAWK, Inc. has files a number of bogus "copyright" claims against my content without as much as a shred of evidence, forcing me to prove innocence before being proven any wrongdoing. HAAWK, Inc. has caused me a loss of business time and undue stress by victimizing me multiple times with unsubstantiated, bogus copyright claims against fully licensed, legitimate media content. HAAWK, Inc. does not respond to written inquiries through their website.

They are total scum.

This is the worst of the worst making false copyright claims on YouTube Creators trying to steal ad money. We have compiled a record of their claims with our state's Attorney General who is now forwarding all this the U.S. Attorney General's office as this falls under wire fraud and filing false copyright claims is now a felony in the U.S.

Bait and switch scam. A complete waste of time. Artists beware. Stay away.

Cameron was super helpful in assisting me with Haawks ContentID system Identifyy. Feels good knowing that no one can improperly use my original content. Cheers and thanks for your help.

Please I warn you to stop this stupidness

Slapped a copyright claim on 3 copyright free tracks I used from Pixabay in one of my Youtube videos and I'm sure they'll do the same for most of the decent tracks on that community rendering it useless for royalty free music. They are abusing the content checking Google/Youtube provide and there are no consequences for them continually doing this. Wake up Google/Youtube and stop continuing to facilitate this activity.

They will hold your music for 3 years and you can't cancel after it has been approved. They won't pay any royalties also. THIS 100% SCAM!! BEWARE

They're making content claims on music they don't own and artists they don't work with in an attempt to claim ad revenue from smaller YouTubers.

Wow, most of the complaints here seem to be from disgruntled YouTubers who don't get their proper licenses over to YouTube or try YouTube corporate. As an artist, the setup for HAAWK can be a bit wonky and slow. They asked me for video selfies with assorted stems, and unless you're Kim Kardashian playing composer for a day on your reality show, no normal producer/composer/artist is sitting around doing that. Hope they change that because that's a bit odd and more influencer style than I expected. Once I got through that hoop and was able to prove I am who I am through other means, I had my first song approved for YouTube sync and all was fine. Their waiting period of about one week to have your songs manually checked is a bit long for USA music business standards but not too shabby. Hope to continue a long term relationship with HAAWK's Identifyy services! :)

This company's business is a scam. They claim Youtube videos on behalf of 3rd parties, even when the video owner has paid the 3rd party a licence. Their business relies on unlucky persons who forgot or lost their licence document, or on persons like me who just don't have time to make counter-claims.
