Damaged and broken items

I received my four-item order with two damaged items: one product leaked in the box (hair oil) and another arrived with a cracked lid broken into pieces.
When I contacted customer service, they told me only “about 10%” spilled and offered a 15% discount, and for the cracked bottle they only offered to send a replacement lid (!) The tone of the response was dismissive and unhelpful.
They also sent a photo before the transfer with all items in good shape! You are responsible for the shipping and safe arrival of your products! I didn’t pick your transfer method!!!! I expected a proper replacement or refund for damaged items and more importantly a better communication!! I won’t be ordering again for sure!

Thanks for this, Chloe. I appreciate you taking the time to explain your concerns.

As discussed, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the shampoo itself—the only issue is a cracked lid. The product is still sealed with the foil cap as per your picture. Shipping a full, perfectly usable bottle across the country simply so a new cap can be fitted, and then shipping it back again, doesn’t make practical or environmental sense when mailing a replacement lid achieves the exact same outcome.

With respect to the alleged leakage, the photos you provided of both the bottle and the box show no visible evidence of product loss. There was no spillage in the box or on the packing paper. That said, we still offered a 15% refund as a goodwill gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience.

At this point, we’ve presented two reasonable solutions you declined by way of this review as we were not given any further opportunity to remedy as you chose to write this 1 star review even though you have all your products in usable condition.

Excellent Company

This company is awesome. I would put your trust in them. The best customer service i have ever had. They went above and beyond for me to recitfy an issue that wasnt even thier fault but was the carriers. I will be definitly dealing with company for now on for all my hair care needs.

Hair Care Canada is amazing

Hair Care Canada is amazing! Not only are their products top-quality, but their staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Extremely reliable company!

A+++ Service

After I placed my initial order, I wanted to add some products to the same order. They were very accommodating and adjusted the order with no issues! I will definitely be using Hair Care for my hair products moving forward!

One of my products came with a large


One of my products came with a large crack in the bottle.
I emailed customer service and they responded within an hour and refunded the damaged product. Excellent customer service! I will be ordering again in the future.

Not ok 


So I have been buying Kevin Murphy smooth again for years including from hair care Canada I have never had a problem actually very happy but for some reason the product I just bought about a month ago smells nothing like the product I have always purchased and makes my hair very dry and brittle so I contacted hair Canada no response to either of my emails. Very disappointed I tried to call them ALL numbers are disconnected
I contacted Kevin Murphy to find out if they had changed their product due to the smell and how different it is now they adv that they hadn’t only the packaging they adv that a lot of other places water the product down and that can affect the product

Nothing has changed on our end. We buy our product from the nationally approved supplier of Kevin Murphy which is International Beauty. https://internationalbeauty.ca/

They supply to the professional salon industry only

The batch of the product you mention has been selling to the market place for over 8 weeks and there are no reported issues. We do not have another batch coming for several weeks.

Awful experience

I ordered 3 session spray and 3 Do over.
I received 1 of each and when I sent an email saying I was disgusted with the service and I would not use ‘hair care Canada’ again. I received a phone call from Corby Johnston saying I was abusive, saying it was a little mistake (as a senior $113 out of pocket is not little) there was no apology just berating me for complaining. He then hung up on me.

We do have a zero tolerance for abuse and simply will not stand for unfounded attacks on our integrity and business. Occasionally there are mis-picks of product
 humans make mistakes. Our error rate is less than 1%. On the rare occasion this happens, the error is immediately rectified once alerted. There was no loss to you Ms Rowe as the missing product was refunded to you immediately as you stated you would no longer use us in your unfair email berating us. As you have been a customer for over 2 years and we had shipped 3 previous orders to you with 100% accuracy it is apparent we are honest and fulfill as expected, which is also the reason why we have a 4.8 out of 5 star rating. In this particular case a minor oversight took place and only 1 of each product was picked and shipped. As you are a long time customer you were called to understand why a scathing email would be sent. However, it was futile to try and speak with you. It is disappointing to serve a customer on 3 separate occasions perfectly and hear nothing, and then be thrashed on the 4th due to your assumption the intent was to defraud you. Kindness and empathy do make a difference when it comes to human interaction. We chose to serve customers who support that mind set.
