Get away from Halfords for MOT
Two of my friends had the same experience. MOT came free with premimum membership and Halfords Autocentres found hard-to-find defects that are likely to be Minor in other MOT centers.
Also, the quote they gave for repair is overly inflated. It looks they are robbing customers nicely!

I fixed the advisories from last mot…
I fixed the advisories from last mot apart from the one that said rusty springs took for the mot & failed on emissions no mention of the springs that I hadn’t fixed ! It’s a total farce ! Mot guy even bragged that his own car wouldn’t pass emissions so he does his own mot ! How is this even allowed !?

Replacement tyres
Easy to book an appointment to fit 2 new tyres. Although it was the two near side tyres that needed changeing they switched my tyres so that the new ones were on the front. Thanks.

I had my Mot on my 16-y-o car done at Halfords Stranraer, where the staff were friendly, asked after my well-being, & just made me feel at ease.
I've had a few nightmares with other garages in the past, but no issues & no "found work".

Honestly I don't have a bad word to say about Halfords, very helpful value for money. Full of knowledge, an call me while working on car if they find issues while fixing any current works on car.. Thank you. Then I can add work to be fixed at same time of rebook if job is time consuming...

Very helpful.
Just had two new tyres fitted at the Preston Marsh Lane site, checked a spare wheel in my garage as the vehicle was not present, 255/50×20 so place the order. But found out that the tyres on the vehicle were 255/55×20, The guys at National tyres said they could have then later in the day. So arranged to return at 4pm, 45 minutes later all fitted and on my way. So helpfully and polite. Would recommend this service to anyone looking for tyres.

Trustworthy Garage
The staff at the Chadwell Heath auto centre are always honest and helpful. I had a mot and service, and no unnecessary work was encouraged. I was given a realistic timeline for getting things done in the near future.

I went into Halfords Erdington with a…
I went into Halfords Erdington with a suspected Clutch problem on my car on a Sunday Morning, one of the Engineer took my car out on a Clutch check and confirmed what I thought that the Clutch was on the way out and they then booked it in for repair a week later.
On arrival on the repair day all the staff were very friendly and efficient and replaced my clutch to a high standard and cured my problem not only of a slipping clutch but some other problems I did not realise were a clutch problem to a point my car runs as new

Great service
Great customer service. I received regular updates via text message and email to let me know when my vehicle was ready for collection. The gentleman at the desk was helpful, friendly and patient when assisting me with the payment process. Overall, a really positive experience.

Halfords Basingstoke Road
I visited the Halfords Basingstoke Road branch this morning to have a new bulb fitted. The staff were friendly and attentive which put me at ease straight away. Darren handled my issue and was polite and professional. I would definitely recommend going to this branch based on the brilliant service I received.
