I signed up with Halo connect as they
Not an honourable company

I signed up with Halo connect as they were then in Oct 2020 and sent an invoice to them for £1200 for a refund to buy us out of our previous contract in November 2020.This was covered in our contract with them. Despite numerous phone calls and sending of the invoice over 15 times to their finance dept this invoice still has not been paid. I have reported them to the Ombudsman.
Our call back feature still isnt working from October 2020 and the same result , call after call and e mail after email. they raise a ticket to look into the matter and when you chase it up on that ticket number you find the ticket has been closed unresolved and you have to raise another to try and solve the initial issue!! To say they are involved in the communication industry theirs back to their customers is very poor

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service!

Our system went down yesterday like all systems can do sometimes and Halo have kept us up to date through the hole process. Updates on social media are comforting as we knew what was going on through the whole day. The system is now back up and running and we have even received a call from the team to see how we are and how the system is. Couldn’t ask for a better connectivity system or team! Thank you again

Phones have been down ALL afternoon

Another 1 Star review for another shocking experience, my phone has been down all afternoon, this never happened with BT, not once. I tried to look for updates on Twitter but could only find them on facebook? Where there are 2 posts stating they are in touch with their Network Provider (I thought when I signed up they were providing the service but it turns out they are just resellers for someone else's VOIP service with Chinese handsets). Looking forward to contract end date so I can switch providers, no timelines have been offered on when this might be back up and running, I am so angry, this is completely unacceptable.

Messaged them on Facebook 3.31pm No response, tried to call them on their own phone number and it doesn't ring!

The worst service I could ever ask for

The worst service I could ever ask for. DO NOT ENTER INTO AGREEMENT with this company. They are sweet and dandy until you sign then everything changes. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. Numerous times I asked is that all I will be paying and was told YES these conversations are all recorded. They LIED. Now they say I cannot get out of the contract as I am a limited company. I logged the first complaint and told them to remove it all with in 9 days of signing and all they have done is NOTHING. I am disgusted and will certainly make sure where ever I can I will let people know to not get conned out of your hard earned money

Fast and high quality

I ordered a business phone system from Halo and had a brand new working phone system in less than 2 days. The engineers were kind and helpful and made sure that I was looked after every step of the way.

I'd recommend these guys to anyone looking for a high quality phone systems

From the go ahead halo have assisted me


From the go ahead halo have assisted me with my needs. When I first moved over I was worried about not being able to keep my old number but the sales team assured me this would not be the case. I was guided through the steps needs to do this by the engineer and this made the transition of moving over broadbands smooth. Helpful and friendly staff from start to finish!

Swift install and great support

Like most people I've changed my broadband and phone provider many times over the years and I'm not gonna lie something always goes wrong. But my experience with Halo has been a refreshing change.

The move from my old provider was explained to me step by step, there was nothing but open communication about the process so I wasn't left in the dark.

And the aftercare support has been brilliant.

Disappointing service and unreliable

Contacted us back in April and offered us 4 new phones at a decent price so signed up. Phones arrived dirty and turned out that were ex display. The sales agent 'forgot' to mention they were ex demo phones. A £25 arrangement fee also appeared on the finance document. Agent said this would be covered by Halo and requested an invoice. Invoice sent on the 22 April. Chased up a few weeks later and was told it would take 30 days. Today is the 12 July and still no sign of payment. Emailed and called numerous times. Was told payment would be made on the 8th July but it didn't happen. After the very friendly sales call that promised everything nobody has contacted to see how we are getting on. Zero after sales contact and constantly chasing them. 5 year contract signed and counting down the days until we can leave.

Just spoke to Halo connect and I just wanted to flag that they told me they have no cancellation period. Which is a concern so just wanted to flag that here. Also no way to cancel the contract if it doesnt work as promised as you have to take it to the regulator which sounds like a nightmare,

Saying that I haven't tried it so it might be fine but just wanted to share that this was a red flag for me.

All it takes is the normal 14 day cancellation / cooling off period. Surely thats not too much to ask a safe company?

As regards the comment below what I actually asked is what is the minimum speeds aren't met and I was still
Told there's no way to exit the contract.

I have found that xln do guarantee speeds and you can leave penalty free is the guaranteed speed is not met- this is what I would expect but is Not provided which means there's a massive risk for the customer.

We appreciate you taking the tine to leave the review, we have tried to contact you multiple times regarding this. After looking into this I can see that you originally spoke to one of our connectivity specialist who confirmed that we do not have a ‘cooling off period ‘ as you are a limited company not an individual consumer. Businesses do not have the same rights as regular consumers when it comes to vendor contracts.

The Consumers Rights Act lays out regulation for “consumer”-”trader” relationships. A “trader” is anyone offering a service related to a business. A “consumer” is understood to be someone that is not acting on behalf of a business when they make a purchase of a goods or service. Thus, a business is not considered a consumer, and is not protected by the Consumer Rights Act.

I’m sorry if this was not clear when you originally spoke to us, we hope you understand and appreciate that this is not an error or something that we should be negatively reviewed for as we don’t make the rules.

Avoid at all costs

I would advise any business owner to avoid this company at all costs. I have had businesses for the last 30 years and this is the worst supplier I have ever come across. They threaten legal action on every email if you try to change anything, and actually issued a CCJ against me even though they had failed to install the equipment. The first thing they do is try to get you to sign a lease contract with a bank for a ridiculous amount, £36 per month for 4 years for an £80 handset, so they can get half the value of the contract up front, and you are tied into a long contract paying way over for cheap bit of kit. They then have no incentive to give you a decent service as they have already cashed out. Make sure you check this, because as soon as you sign the contract you are in trouble. VOIP installation has been slow and painful and involves a 5 minute conversation so the consultant can tick off it has been done. Was not given any log in details at the time so have had to chase them for it. I have not had my broadband installed yet, but they have already invoiced me for 4 months up front. No doubt they will leave a response to this, but it has been like dealing with clampers who have gone into telecoms.

I am very sorry you felt the need to leave a review of this nature. However, we do not feel this to be a fair review at all.

We did not “threaten” legal action, legal action was taken due to your lack of contact after signing a legally binding business agreement. We did not issue a CCJ, we were in the process of taking up court proceedings against The Mansfield Hotel (BMTH) Limited as well within our rights to do so and this incurred significant costs and was something we did not wish to proceed with in the first place.

The only reason that a county court judgment was not made was since you returned contact to us and wished to continue with the agreement to stop the proceedings. It is worth noting that after the original order was signed, The Mansfield Hotel (BMTH) Limited had been accepted for credit with a normal funder, by the time proceedings had returned to normal and you advised us that you wished to continue with the agreement The Mansfield Hotel (BMTH) Limited was only able to pass credit with a bottom tier funder thus greatly affecting the rate of business.

As this was the case, we chose to take all the investment and risk into our own hands and fund your agreement internally as we wish to provide the best possible services to all our customers, all that we asked is that you pay your first month upfront.

We did not ask you to sign a lease contract of £36.00 a month for an £80.00 handset, we asked you to sign the lease agreement for a 1 x User Hosted Telephone system alongside business grade broadband. Our products are meticulously provisioned to provide the best possible service for your business.

We have all the incentive to make sure that we provide our customers with the best possible service as our model is built around customer retention, we are proud of our services and our unique ability to retain customers.

Our team has checked the log of your installation and the run time was 12 minutes and 48 seconds, this was simply to assist you in connecting your handset to your broadband router. What you seem to forget is that behind the scenes your server tenant was built, your licence was created, and your handset was provisioned. This process in total took around 6 business days to complete. We do not agree that your install was “rushed” in any way.

You have raised an invoicing query in your review and this matter has already been resolved and rectified in the span of an hour. We ask that you raise these matters to us directly, we would be able to resolve them faster.

We do not feel this is a fair review at all due to the amount of work we have put in to make sure you did not further proceed in the county court after you breached your agreement.

Fantastic service

Been with Halo connect for about 4 months now and so happy with the service. After a negative experience with my previous supplier I was reluctant to change but have been pleasantly surprised and supported massively by Halo along the way. Very glad I chose to change to Halo.
