I signed up with Halo connect as theyâŠNot an honourable company
I signed up with Halo connect as they were then in Oct 2020 and sent an invoice to them for £1200 for a refund to buy us out of our previous contract in November 2020.This was covered in our contract with them. Despite numerous phone calls and sending of the invoice over 15 times to their finance dept this invoice still has not been paid. I have reported them to the Ombudsman.
Our call back feature still isnt working from October 2020 and the same result , call after call and e mail after email. they raise a ticket to look into the matter and when you chase it up on that ticket number you find the ticket has been closed unresolved and you have to raise another to try and solve the initial issue!! To say they are involved in the communication industry theirs back to their customers is very poor

Our system went down yesterday like all systems can do sometimes and Halo have kept us up to date through the hole process. Updates on social media are comforting as we knew what was going on through the whole day. The system is now back up and running and we have even received a call from the team to see how we are and how the system is. Couldnât ask for a better connectivity system or team! Thank you again

Phones have been down ALL afternoon
Another 1 Star review for another shocking experience, my phone has been down all afternoon, this never happened with BT, not once. I tried to look for updates on Twitter but could only find them on facebook? Where there are 2 posts stating they are in touch with their Network Provider (I thought when I signed up they were providing the service but it turns out they are just resellers for someone else's VOIP service with Chinese handsets). Looking forward to contract end date so I can switch providers, no timelines have been offered on when this might be back up and running, I am so angry, this is completely unacceptable.
Messaged them on Facebook 3.31pm No response, tried to call them on their own phone number and it doesn't ring!

The worst service I could ever ask for. DO NOT ENTER INTO AGREEMENT with this company. They are sweet and dandy until you sign then everything changes. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. Numerous times I asked is that all I will be paying and was told YES these conversations are all recorded. They LIED. Now they say I cannot get out of the contract as I am a limited company. I logged the first complaint and told them to remove it all with in 9 days of signing and all they have done is NOTHING. I am disgusted and will certainly make sure where ever I can I will let people know to not get conned out of your hard earned money

I was guided through the steps needs to do this by the engineer and this made the transition of moving over broadbands smooth. Helpful and friendly staff from start to finish!

Like most people I've changed my broadband and phone provider many times over the years and I'm not gonna lie something always goes wrong. But my experience with Halo has been a refreshing change.
The move from my old provider was explained to me step by step, there was nothing but open communication about the process so I wasn't left in the dark.
And the aftercare support has been brilliant.

Disappointing service and unreliable
Contacted us back in April and offered us 4 new phones at a decent price so signed up. Phones arrived dirty and turned out that were ex display. The sales agent 'forgot' to mention they were ex demo phones. A £25 arrangement fee also appeared on the finance document. Agent said this would be covered by Halo and requested an invoice. Invoice sent on the 22 April. Chased up a few weeks later and was told it would take 30 days. Today is the 12 July and still no sign of payment. Emailed and called numerous times. Was told payment would be made on the 8th July but it didn't happen. After the very friendly sales call that promised everything nobody has contacted to see how we are getting on. Zero after sales contact and constantly chasing them. 5 year contract signed and counting down the days until we can leave.

Just spoke to Halo connect and I just wanted to flag that they told me they have no cancellation period. Which is a concern so just wanted to flag that here. Also no way to cancel the contract if it doesnt work as promised as you have to take it to the regulator which sounds like a nightmare,
Saying that I haven't tried it so it might be fine but just wanted to share that this was a red flag for me.
All it takes is the normal 14 day cancellation / cooling off period. Surely thats not too much to ask a safe company?
As regards the comment below what I actually asked is what is the minimum speeds aren't met and I was still
Told there's no way to exit the contract.
I have found that xln do guarantee speeds and you can leave penalty free is the guaranteed speed is not met- this is what I would expect but is Not provided which means there's a massive risk for the customer.

Avoid at all costs
I would advise any business owner to avoid this company at all costs. I have had businesses for the last 30 years and this is the worst supplier I have ever come across. They threaten legal action on every email if you try to change anything, and actually issued a CCJ against me even though they had failed to install the equipment. The first thing they do is try to get you to sign a lease contract with a bank for a ridiculous amount, £36 per month for 4 years for an £80 handset, so they can get half the value of the contract up front, and you are tied into a long contract paying way over for cheap bit of kit. They then have no incentive to give you a decent service as they have already cashed out. Make sure you check this, because as soon as you sign the contract you are in trouble. VOIP installation has been slow and painful and involves a 5 minute conversation so the consultant can tick off it has been done. Was not given any log in details at the time so have had to chase them for it. I have not had my broadband installed yet, but they have already invoiced me for 4 months up front. No doubt they will leave a response to this, but it has been like dealing with clampers who have gone into telecoms.
