Would strongly recommend this show, as it was good to re-explore the magic of Harry Potter.
The cast was incredible.

Good performance overall and a really nice theatre. I was at the very top so little leg room (which I expected”. Obviously drinks and snacks were overpriced as it is London. The actual performance was really good and very clever, production value was high and you could tell. The overall set and magic tricks were amazing. The only thing (as many people have pointed out). The only thing is that the show is not accurate to the Harry Potter universe with multiple plot holes such as Voldemort having a kid and Harry’s scar hurting.

Wouldn't recommend. The first half of the show appeared to lack much of a plot and felt very much on the level of a secondary school production. Luckily it improved a little after that, gaining a bit of a story and some special effects, however, not enough to save it. The actors also appeared to frequently forget their lines, and although they covered, it was still noticeable and with a frequency that I have never seen in a supposedly professional production. I think coming out 3 times for a curtain call was milking it a bit, considering the poor performance! Even in some of the best shows I've seen, with astounding performances they often only come out twice. Walking away from the theatre after the end of the second show I only heard negative comments, which is a first for me. If you're into endurance or easily pleased by a few special effects then by all means see if you can get through it, but there are so many fantastic shows that are a million times better than this.

Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience poor scripting very dragged out with lack of excitement throughout. There are a few wow moments where you think how did they do that but I struggled to stay awake for the entire show due to the unimaginative storyline.. just be aware a lot of the production happens on the left side so if you’ve chosen seats on the left side in the circle or the grand circle, you won’t see everything. Very overpriced and very underwhelming.

RAT ALERT!

A huge rat was roaming between the seats. Cleanliness and hygiene conditions are absolutely terrible. They should rename the show Harry Potter and the Cursed Rat.

P.S. Customer service is just as awful.

"While the performance was great, the environment was unacceptable. In the second half, a huge rat was roaming the floor near our seats, making it impossible to relax. We spent the last thirty minutes in total discomfort, keeping our feet off the ground. Despite this, the venue refused to offer a refund, stating that the show continued as planned and that we failed to report it immediately. Regardless of their policy, this was a terrible experience that completely overshadowed the play."

Some of the special effects were impressive but I thought it was too woke (stop with the indoctrination!) and some of the casting was terrible. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The show was absolutely brilliant - the special effect were mind-blowing. A must see for any ture Harry Potter fan.

Beautiful theater, great special effects that at times felt magical. The character development was beyond disappointing. There was nothing substantial with the new characters to ingratiate them to the audience. Worst of all, the original characters (with whom many of us grew up) were transformed into annoying, whining and impotent adults. The script was muddled snd bloated with unnecessary and time wasting scenes. It was difficult to follow, understand and hear. I'm hoping to forget this play soon so that I can go back to loving and respecting the Harry Potter universe.

On the whole, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was good but now and then felt a bit over-acted like the character was in a pantomime rather than a play. Staging set the mood of the play quite well, and the parts with the dementors were excellent, especially when one flew out over the audience. My main issue with it was the volume. The talking was very quiet which ruined the whole experience for my mother as she couldn't hear a single thing any of the characters said. She didn't even bother going back in for the second half of part 2. Shame.

The production was incredible. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

To me Is actually bit Boring. The show can make it more interesting even following the story line. We watching two shows in a day. All you see is the wooden stairs going round most of the time. Is like low Budget shows. Very disappointing. The only thing i can say is the performance actres acting are 💯 stars. If you thinking of watching it my Advice is get the cheaper sit.

Enjoyable experience for the whole family and good to keep the magic alive for the children.

Had such a wonderful time at this play! Took me back to my childhood feeling like magic was real again!!

The Palace Theatre was ablaze with excitement last night as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2, captivated audiences. Reading the reviews I'm quite shocked I thought it was fantastic and couldn't fault the acting . The effects were amazing to. The only small criticism I would have would of been hermonine only because she was nothing like the character in the films so didn't quite feel right

Wow, what a disappointment... not gonna repeat what all low score say, but notice how incredibly consistent they are.

But man, that was awful

I bought tickets to take my adult daughter for her birthday. We got stuck in dreadful traffic because of protests and missed the show. I emailed and the theatre very kindly gave me 50% off rebooking. We finally went yesterday.

In total I spent well over £600 on this absolute garbage! In the interval of the afternoon show we both hated it but thought we ought to give it to the end of the first show in case it improved. I even chatted to a lady in our row and told her I’d be surprised if we bothered coming back for the evening performance.

I mean seriously, the Trolley Witch turning into Wolverine???

The acting was appalling by most of the cast, the storyline was amateur, the set was poor. The best thing about the whole thing was the theatre had a Hogwarts feel about it!

Needless to say, we couldn’t wait to leave and decided I’d prefer to waste the money on the unused tickets than endure another performance of this utter tripe!

How on earth this can’t even be labelled as ‘Harry Potter’? It’s completely miss-sold because it’s nothing like it. The characters are so loosely based on the books it’s laughable. Oh and it’s supposed to be funny, yes about as funny as piles!

Lastly, don’t go to the toilet during the show, they washed the floors during the performance with no warning signs at all and my daughter slipped over. Imagine if that was an elderly person, or a pregnant woman! Thankfully my daughter was lucky and got away with ruined jeans and a bruised leg.
