All staff are great, found what we wanted

Staff are friendly and helpful. Booking holiday with them is pleasant same with service.

So today I took out a Travel Card, Euros and Hungarian currency for a forthcoming trip at the Alnwick Branch. My husband did similar at the Morpeth Branch. My rate of exchange was significantly less than at the Morpeth Branch by at least £20! My husband went back to Hays travel in Alnwick on my behalf and was told it was different because there is more competition in Morpeth when it comes to holiday companies. This is ridiculous given it’s the same company just a different branch and not a plausible explanation.
I have no issue with the person that served me as she was lovely and very helpful. This is a situation she has no control over.
I’m not happy and would advise anyone to check the exchange rate before getting money with Hays travel.
The irony is that we booked our holiday with Hays Travel!

Saturday 1st August
I wish to rectify my review yesterday.
After a call from Diane at Hays Travel Alnwick this morning my travel exchange was reviewed with the Branch Manager Claire and I received an apology and an updated rate in line with the Morpeth Branch. So I went and collected the exchange difference.
At this juncture may I say that Diane should not be held responsible for the exchange rate error as she was following the guidelines given to her. She was immensely helpful and obliging as was Claire. The ladies dealt with the discrepancy efficiently and I am in no way deterred from engaging Hays Travel for holidays in the future. To anyone reading my update.
Go and see Diane she is a sweetheart.

Our travel assistant was very helpful. We already had an idea of where we wanted to go and when but she was able to answer a few questions we had. Our whole experience was positive and enjoyable.

I was in Anwick yesterday, as I had been looking at a cruise the night before I decided to call in to Hays to find out a bit more about it.
I was greeted by Sasha with a lovely smile.
I discussed the cruise with her in great detail, she answered all of my questions.
As Sasha was very friendly, helpful and professional I decided to book the cruise with her.

Ellie ( I think it was Ellie we asked her name but I may have misremembered) anyway she was so smiley and efficient and helpful and booked two holidays for us in Alnwick Hays Travel on Wednesday morning. we have been using Hays Travel in Alnwick for a few years now and it is always a wonderful service. We've used Hays for years. All of our holidays have been organised/booked with them. No complaints ever!!

Original chat with Nathan who gave us some great suggestions. Went back in and booked with Laila. Both excellent members of staff and both very professional and friendly and were really looking forward to our holiday being as smooth as the booking.

Ellie was very helpful when searching for a specific holiday. She explained all the different options and prices thoroughly. She also assisted with some queries about carrying medical equipment on board.

All questions answered, very helpful exploring many options.
