As a 85 year old man and 83 year old wife tride to a cruise with P&O on Thursday the 19th March and they were quick to take a 100.00 pound deposit although we I'd as disabled. They didn't make sure we would be able to get insurance cover. We spent 3 days contracting various companies we were unable to get any cover
so we had to cancel the trip. So P&O refused to refund me the deposit. They should make it policy to make sure that customer's have the reveant cover. Our booking ref is HAY-618311. Yours a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer M Arnold
Fly cruise to carabbean
We flew to Barbados joined the Britannia there and sailed the islands.. back to Barbados and flew home.. the whole fly cruise was so well organised and loved that our luggage got there before us.. well done P & O
Just back from our 1st cruise ever
Just back from our 1st cruise ever. We had an amazing time on the beautiful ship Britannia for 2 weeks in the Caribbean.
The ship was kept spotlessly clean daily as was our cabin.
The majority of the staff are fabulous and really make you feel welcome with a smile and chat. One special lady server at the Riveria Bar by the pool was delightful, Josephine remembered our names from day one, always had a quick chat with us when she had a slower moment. She was a star.
The food on board in all restaurants we used from the buffet to the speciality restaurants were fabulous. The choice and quality of food was the best, we could not complain. The only complaint would be some fellow passengers who feel they have the right to cut in on queues.
We didn't make much use of the evening entertainment on board, only on 2 occassions, mainly because we burnt ourselves out on every port day touring and walking about that by after dinner we were so exhausted we were ready for bed or preferred to chill on our balcony with a wee drink lol.
The ports we visited on our caribbean cruise were lovely, we would have loved longer in some of the islands.
All in all a very enjoyable experience, we will do another one day.

Just back from our first ever cruise. Went on Brittania to the Carribbean. It was fabulous. Loved every minute and saw such beautiful places. Can certainly recommend!
Amazing Service
Weâve just come back from a 2-week Canary Islands cruise with P&O Cruises on Azura and honestly, this trip completely changed our opinion after a few disappointing post-Covid cruises. This was a bit of a âlast chanceâ for them⊠and they absolutely smashed it.
The service from start to finish was exceptional. It finally felt like the P&O we used to love. Yes, the cabins are a bit dated, but theyâre perfectly functional â and letâs be honest, if youâre spending loads of time in your cabin on a cruise, youâre doing it wrong. Theyâve clearly invested in the areas that actually matter, like the bars and restaurants, and thatâs where your holiday really comes alive.
The food was delicious throughout. Weâre not big breakfast people so only went a handful of times, but every time it was quick, friendly, and spot on. And for the first time ever on any cruise weâve done⊠the toast was actually edible, which says a lot!
There were some extra hygiene measures in place during the first week due to illness on the previous sailing, but it was all handled really well. Nothing felt over the top or intrusive. Just small, sensible things like menus not being left out, salt and pepper removed from tables, and constant cleaning of handrails and lift buttons. The cleaning team worked incredibly hard and it never once impacted our enjoyment.
Entertainment-wise, there was always something going on. The party band Pulse were hands down the best weâve ever seen on a cruise. James on electric guitar was a standout moment of the whole holiday, and Lucy, the lead singer, was just incredible. Would love to see them again on future cruises. If live music wasnât your thing, there was still loads to do â quizzes, shows, and we especially loved spending time in Manhattan.
What really made the holiday though was the bar staff. They were on another level, and there are three people who genuinely made our trip unforgettable.
Christ in Manhattan was just amazing â always smiling, always friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Even though I ordered something different pretty much every time, he handled it effortlessly. We kept going back mainly because of him. Heâd always stop to say hello wherever we saw him around the ship, despite clearly being rushed off his feet most of the time.
Zidane in the Glass House was such a character â always singing when bringing drinks or food and making everyone laugh. What really stood out was how he made the effort to learn and use peopleâs names instead of the usual âsirâ or âmaâamâ. Itâs such a small thing, but it made a big difference.
Marlou, also in the Glass House, was just a genuinely kind and thoughtful guy. Always up for a chat and gave us some great wine recommendations that we probably wouldnât have tried otherwise.
Honestly, the whole teams in both the Glass House and Manhattan were faultless. You could tell they cared and took pride in what they were doing.
Weâre so glad we gave P&O one more chance because this cruise reminded us exactly why we loved cruising with them in the first place. Weâre already booked again for next year and canât wait to be back onboard.

Please beware if you use p and o price promise. I booked directly with p and o. Then I found the cruise a lot cheaper, every part of the cruise was the same, no difference. I sent in the price I found within the stipulated time frame given by p and o. Gave screenshot of the difference of price. That wasn't good enough, it never had the time or date on the travel agent document. I did explain to p and o, the travel agent doesn't put information on their document, they use the date and time of the email sent over to you. Still not good enough. So how are you supposed to get a price promise. The date and time on the price promise i sent to p and o was clearly visible on the email i forward to them.

Arcadia P & O is tired.
Just returned from a partial round the world trip. The ship Arcadia is rather tired and lacklustre in appearance. The cabins are in need of a complete redecoration. We had a balcony which was untidy in appearance.
The food was mediocre and repetitive.
Deck nine has a smoking area exactly adjacent to the entrance of the buffet/dining area. The smoke from this area can be smelt in the buffet. I complained why the location was given to the smokers next to the pool.
The entertainment was very poor. The stage shows and single acts made the evening cringeworthy. The TV in the cabin was seriously out of date. Picture quality and entertainment was even worse. FM only. Unwatchable.
PS. There were maintenance men on board undertaking works to the Air-Con with several interruptions to our cabin arrangements. Decorating touches to the balcony too.
Water ingress to various decks with buckets on the floor in the dining areas and elsewhere.
PPS. The staff and crew were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily.

From ship, staff, destination, food and ambience, P&O offer it all. Second amazing cruise with P&O and will be booking again.

Currently on my second P&O cruise. Loyalty kicks in after 15 nights.
First cruise 7 nights. Now half way through second cruise, which is 14 nights.
After a combined 15 nights, enquired about our discount activating, only to be told it will not start until after this cruise. So my 15 nights is actually 21. This is not clear, misleading, and downright barmy.
Will influence my next choice of cruise line.

I had the most miserable time. The people who go on these cruises are absolutely vile. It seems to attract the rudest, most uncultured people I have ever had the misfortune to be around. The food is absolutely revolting. It all just tastes the same. This cruise is for losers. Avoid at all cost. Don't waste your money. You will not enjoy. There isn't a single redeeming factor. Bitterly regret this holiday. Feel sorry for the staff dealing with these people. This cruise has made me extremely depressed. I have been in tears every day. It is so boring the sea days and then when you dock it is such a long walk off the boat it's exhausting. I will never ever do this rubbish ever again. I am so homesick and just can't wait to get off this Hell. I had a really expensive skirt stolen from my room and no one did absolutely anything about it.
Nightmare three week cruise!
Three weeks on Azura was something I would not want to experience again. Penny pinching has brought standards down drastically since my last cruise two years ago.
Food was dreadful, tough dried out meats, rubbery fish, tasteless soups and desserts. As a British ship one would expect a good choice of plain British food each day, but the chefs/cooks decided that everyone enjoyed spicy tasting food and left the persons who couldnât tolerate spices with very little ( or no) choice at all.
Complaints were made to the chef in the buffet and the ones making the complaints were told âgo to the main restaurant â. Quite an insult as the same persons had experienced the main dining restaurant serving the same heavily spiced foods which are intolerable to a person with serious health issues.
The staff and stewards were very efficient and helpful but the chefs need lessons in cooking skills.
P&O will never see another penny of ours, so, so disappointing with the cruise taken in March 2026 to the Canaries.
Beware anyone thinking of booking with P&OâŠ.read the reviews beforehand.

When arriving at the ship staff on hand to make sure our embarkation was easy without any stress. Daily updates via a magazine delivered to our cabin. And tannoy announcements to keep everybody updated daily. For our first cruise this was a fantastic easy experience with not one bit of stress. Loved every minute of the time from arriving at the airport to depart to arriving back at our airport for our onward journey home.
14 night CarribeanâŠ
Just returned from a 14 night Carribean cruise and could not fault P & O. Food in every venue was excellent and varied. The ship was beautiful and provided everything we needed for an amazing holiday.
Staff attentive
Staff attentive. Ship very clean . Would not go hungry as so much choice. Sun beds can be a problem on sea days. Lifts can prove to be hardwork on port days allow time to get off if on a trip.
