I bought a pair of HI TEC Storm WP boots approximately 18 months ago.

With light to moderate use they developed a fault, not ideal but happens sometimes. Since most things are made in a Far Eastern factory we never see nowadays the only thing we really have is customer service to judge companies by.

I sent the boots back to HI TEC, they could of claimed no receipt or more than 12 months but they didn’t. They stood by the product and replaced them, so fair play to them I say.

Despite a failure, I would buy the brand again solely for their good will and the attitude that they will back the customer when it goes wrong.

I bought bought a pair of men’s Koga sandals 3 months ago, I had a similar pair that lasted a couple of years and hoped that these would do the same however the soles have already started to split and the heals have caved-in, this is after only moderate use and I weigh less than 9 stones.
Don’t buy these sandals they’re rubbish.

Hi tec aysgarth DOE walking boots ..lasted about 4 months before the soles came off and the lace loops come off. Keep your reciept and get a new pair every couple of months!!

As others say Hi Tec used to be good. I find soles good and uppers useless. I'd like a Clarks upper on a Hi Tec sole. That might make a good boot!

Terrible, wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing. Not Used heavily but the boot has come away from the sole, the tops are peeling, the stitching has all broken. Just rubbish

Hi-tec shoes are suppose to be worth the money but it's rubbish. My son bought a pair in South Africa and left for Ireland. Three months later and he can throw it in the bin. Coming loose on top where it can't be fixed. Got photos to prove it. He is a Dr and doesn't climb mountains and rocks. Walk on normal road and office surface. Absolutely disgusting. Will never advise anybody to buy Hi-tec. Not worth the money. Makes one sick to the core. So he is stuck with broken shoes and Hi-tec makes money.

Altitiute V Mens walking boots. The right boot began peeling after light use and now looks awful. The reply from customer services was to return to the original shop, but that shop had closed down. I offered to send the boots to their quality assurance dept but was ignored.

The Hi-Tec boots from 20 years ago are well worth the money. I am still wearing a pair. They are getting worm but well worth it.
The Hi-Tec boots now are only superior to the companies customer service which is non-existent. I purchased a pair of boots in August. I wore them 2-3 days a week indoors only. The front quarter ripped out in December. Customer Service has yet to reply.

I concur with the reviewers who said that the quality seems to be dropping. The last two pairs I have bought seemed to leak and wear out so quickly. The latest annoyance is the rubber toe bumpers turned out to be some sort of soft kapoc material with rubber paint on top! When the paint tears the material is visible.

Hi Tec Mens Blast Lite Lace Up Trainers UTTER RUBBISH I have had 2 pairs now and both have have worn through the heel after less than 2 months. The surface of the sole and heel is very thin to say the least and the heel is not solid and wear reveals holes in the structure agin UTTER RUBBISH

I got a pair of Hi-Tec Altitude Pro RGS Men's Hiking Boots about 6 months ago. I am very happy with them. They've been used almost every day, often on marshy ground and also in sub-zero temperatures. They are extremely comfortable on all types of terrain, completely waterproof and yet breathable. Really good value for money, in my opinion.

The sole deteriorated and half fell off after one year and 4 months from purchase. I contacted Customer Services as the boots hadn't gone much more than the one year guarantee - but to no avail.

Hi-tec walking boots used to be very good quality and excellent value, and I've had umpteen pairs over the years. However the quality has gradually deteriorated and the last few pairs I've had haven't lasted at all. I'll not be buying them again.

Been using eurotrek boots for years.
Newer mk3 boots are the worst boots I have ever purchased.
Two pairs and both boots started peeling the first time they got wet.
Never happened to mk1 and mk2.
Absolute rubbish now.

Good and better service ,I like their ways
