Fast friendly service sorted the wheel and tyre. Will definitely go back again

Scammers with poor communication skills.

Booked in for an MOT and received a call saying my car had failed. Asked why it had failed they replied with “you have a coolant leak and main beam light doesn’t work”
I understand if a main beam doesn’t work it is an instant fail but I didn’t understand the coolant leak. This is the first car I have owned and not 100% sure on everything so asked them to explain. They said I had a major coolant leak which needed repair but to find where the leak was coming from they had to run a diagnostic test of which had an undisclosed cost which they did not make me aware of and in turn ended up costing me an extra £80+ on my overall cost/bill. The way in which they communicated made it sound as if my car would not pass the MOT unless the leak was fixed right away.

I ended up calling my dad because I didn’t know what I was dealing with and asked him to help with the communication with the company because they weren’t giving me straight answers. As I was on the phone to my dad, we both checked the government website where you can check the MOT results come to find out that my car had actually passed the MOT and the coolant leak was an advisory.
The company failed to tell me it was an advisory and led me to believe my car failed due to the coolant leak and tried to get me to pay £450 to fix the leak. Luckily, my dad got in contact with the company before they started any work and got them to hold off and not do any work on the car.

My dad managed to get more information out of the company about the leak they kept saying to him that it was a major leak and the car was not driveable however it was an advisory meaning the car can still run on the road legally yet they were adamant that the Leak needed to be fixed right away.

I collected the car from the MOT without having the advisory fixed. I had an external party look at my car and look at my coolant and the leak was not major It is a minor job which can be fixed for a fraction of the price the company gave me.

I feel they took advantage of me being a young female and tried to get money out of me for repairs that were not needed. Absolutely awful customer service poor communication skills and scammers really disappointed will not be returning. Cannot be trusted.

Booked my car in for MOT, On arrival at the garage was made to feel welcome , a few hrs later was phoned to be told that the car had passed and was ready to be collected, a great experience and look forward to returning for further MOTs

Car was in for a few weeks while waiting for a part but the guys were very communicative and got the work done as soon as possible. Also they were very accommodating when needing service history documents and immediately sent through the documents. Great customer service as usual.

Booked in for MOT. 2 new tyres, tracking sorted. Bumper fixed. Dropped off at 8am and picked up 16:30hrs same day. Very efficient and friendly.

Great service, managed to fit us at the last minute, sourced us 2 tyres and got us on the road again.

Really good service. Changed my tyres quickly. Only minor issue is the lack of parking at the garage but I'll definitely be going back in the future. Very convenient and friendly/helpful staff too

I would like to say what a wonderful team at HiQ yet again , as usual first class service ,I took my vehicle in to have its tyres checked and it was done so swiftly and to perfection ,given lots of reassurance and advise I love how they give you the personal touch , and if you want to wait whilst it’s being done there is a comfortable seating area ,a fist class drinks machine and if it’s a hot day there is an array of cold drinks and also choc bars if you have little ones with you , it’s the little things that can mean so much and they keep you informed of the progress altogether a really good comfortable experience , thank you HIQ and to the lovely Jordan and other mechanics that take the time to chat to you as well ,a great company which I will continue to use for a long time Well done

Easy to book in for service & MOT, helpful and friendly staff, and no hidden charges. Comprehensive service completed, all checks documented. All in all highly recommended

I had booked in to have my air conditioning recharged before realising that my husband had already booked it in for another place at an earlier time. I called up again to cancel the booking and the man I spoke to was very polite and understanding of the situation. That level of customer service makes me want to ensure I reconsider HiQ in the future and actively favour them for any one of the huge selection of services they provide. He was also kind enough to ensure I make sure that the right air is put into my car considering it is at the cuff of two different types as it was manufactured in 2014.

In general, it is wonderful to be able to book online and see the prices clear and up front as this is often the most intimidating part of having any work on your car done - the unknown of how much it will set you back!

Overall I recieved very professional customer service and I can imagine that their actual work on cars is to the same level of professionalism and very reasonably priced! Thank you for making an unfortunate situation a positive experience and I look forward to booking with HiQ Plymouth in the future.
