Truly appalling website - how is it possible to create such a bad website - is special training given to this end? - ' cos if so,they have succeeded. I once thought BT were bad, but HK excel thenselves in 'website bad design. HK - a suggestion for you and a very simple one - give us a phone number and human being to talk to.

Sent me doggy LiPo's would only charge up to about 60%. No chance of trusting them could cause an accident. Absolute nightmare trying to get refund. They keep using delaying tactics. Also sent DLG glider kit (almost ready to fly) with parts missing. Again using delaying tactics. do not buy LiPo's from them if you want to protect your safety and models. RAISED A PAYPAL DISPUTE

They advertised an Item, it was not cheap.
I bought the item.
Then after 2 weeks they said they could not deliver from that warehouse. I was to cancel and then order from another of their warehouses.. I asked why could they not, just send it from the other warehouse. I asked for a refund, they have made every excuse that they can come up with not to refund.
So I opened a pay pal dispute, they now say the dispute is holding up the refund.. I told them just refund and close the case. There are companies that treat their customer like they think they are idiot,s. This company is one of them. They will go out of business, and they should go out of business, quicker the better. No company trading should be allowed to trade like Hobbyking, in fact a name change would be good to Messabout King, that,s more appropriate .

Ordered three lipos and some xt60 connectors. Made sure I only selected UK warehouse. All came the next day perfectly packaged. Would recommend to anyone.

I am new to the hobby of rc fixed wing flying (I am a certified drone pilot) Is I wanted to pay the least possible for an rc plane that at least looked good and needed the least prep to fly. I find myself on the Hobbyking website, great aircraft, great prices. I add an A1 sky raider to the basket (£82) and then the shipping is calculated, from Hng Kong some £60 odd on top, hmmm np. Now I realise that Hobbyking have outlets in the eu and the UK. So I find another warbird, Hawker tempest, at £82 and note that its available from the uk WAREHOUSE, POSTAGE £5.95. I buy and within 36 hours the well packed large box is delivered. The model is superb!( make airfix kits so have an idea about scale detail, what works what doesn't) I was up and running within about 20 minutes. Now Im hooked, I have since bought from the UK warehouse the P51, Hawker hurricane and, during their Halloween discount promo, the A1 Skyrider for £72. I now have 4 of their 'budget' 800mm warbirds and each one is a stunner (tho wish the P51 had a pilot head) The only problem I had was the HawkerHurricane box received a ding in transit and dented the fuselage and wing. Hobbyking informed (its not their fault) and they immediately offer a refund or replacement, I ask could I have a partial refund and keep the aircraft? Within minutes I am offered 50% store credit (which went on the P51). I am really pleased with both the product and customer service provided by Hobbyking. Yes their postage from HongKong is crippling, but just hang fire until stock arrives in the EU/UK for much cheaper and quicker shipping. once I have gained my 'wings' I will buying the bigger warbirds from Hobbyking. A 100% excellent company, highly recommended!!!

shocking company, i will never use again, tried to cancel my order 12 hours later was told i couldn't, received the items and now have tax and duty to pay for them importing it into the uk of an extra £65, the items where cheaper here than anywhere else and now i know why, nowhere during the ordering process was i told about this, complained to hobby king and was told i should have read the small print, i didnt even know they were being imported so why would i read the small print

I was unsure about using this website to order some 3D printer filament as a lot of the reviews are bad. However, I ordered the filament as it was exactly the colour I was after at a good price for 500g. Received the order today and the quality is much better than I’ve had from another website for a cheaper price! The item was well packaged and delivered very quickly from their UK depot. I will be purchasing again!

After seeing all the negative reviews I was unsure about buying from hobbyking but I’ve now placed and received (quickly) two orders with them, so far buying from them has been a positive experience, they seem to be able to supply a vast selection of modelling products, hopefully future orders will be as positive as the first two

It has been over four years since i have used HobbyKing. Previously it was good service and all items were value for money. Today the website ordering process is a shambles. I am able to place an order and then have no way of paying for it. There does not seem to be a way of cancelling orders as well.
The UK postage is ludicrously expensive, postage from Europe is cheaper, however, if the items is lost It is my fault. I`m looking elsewhere and not coming back!

Since my first review everything has been sorted out to my liking, all I can say is well done Hobby King..

I Purchased an item from their UK warehouse (i'm also in the UK) for £610. I was then contacted by them a few days later saying I had to pay over £120 to have the item sent to me!
No way was I going to pay that so asked for a refund. It took days to hear a reply from them. I eventually (after them asking if I would prefer store credit) received a refund but it was over £22 less than what I paid!
I paid in UK pounds but they refunded me in $. Very dodgy indeed. I'm struggling to get my full refund that I'm owed.

Shipping items from within the EU to other EU countries without listing or paying VAT. Claim that "Hobbyking do not charge VAT" despite this obviously being EU law to do so.

Not hard to figure out how they beat others on price when they are dodging tax.

Never using these again wheelspin models are far better took hobby king 2 days to come back to me and ask for ID to buy a rc plane after I paid for fast shipping to be here in 1-2 days

Used to be really good years ago, used to have everything and anything you needed, I’ve spent thousands on its site, over the years. Sadly Hobbyking played around with there Website couple of years ago, made a mess off it, they have tinkered and changed it several time since and made it even worse.....Chronically Slow and nightmare to navigate, not customer friendly as its so slow oh think it’s crashed and tries advertise things your not remotely interested in. Rubbish. Customer services appears long drawn out and non existent.
Loyal customers no loose out over through there loyalty rewards points systems changes for the money they spend. Now rewards are short term, Time bound, a case of very soon or lose it. Waste of time.
UK store is a complete shopping joke now. Poor choice, Stock is virtually nothing that people need, i probably look on there weekly for parts or kits engine and motors, never anything I need, or replacements are discontinued and your consistently referred to the Global site, China...... I don’t want to wait a month and pay more, postage, plus possible customs implications delays to buy a hobby product.
Complete mess.
Quick selling of cheap foam planes now, no worthwhile quality models to sell, manufacturers or suppliers won’t serve them anymore.
Smacks of a definitive sales and marketing process to guarantee failure and closure unless it has a severe rethink about customers needs.
Bye Hobbyking I’m just one of many in our club that feels like this, your not worth the time, effort resulting in relentless frustration of discontinued, out of stock, backorder, Global only items.

Terrible never have UK stock and to buy global or EU the postage cost is extortionate so it's a lot cheaper to buy elswhere, as for customer service well it's non existant, all they do is fob you off with pathetic excuses....they have a stock confirmation link which emails you when they have UK stock and which does not work! I have reported this 5 times now but nothings ever done about it.
I've given up shopping with this company they are totally useless...I'd rather pay a bit more to get what I want when I want it.

If only I had seen these reviews before making a purchase - alas, too late. Parcel tracked as far as Gatwick Airport, but then no further. Contacted HobbyKing customer service only to be politely but persistently fobbed-off, before finally being informed of that their policy was not provide refunds for lost parcels. Caution - Buyer beware

After having ordered a product here I wasn't able to use until after 10 months it turned out to be malfunctioning. I contacted the support department of HobbyKing (since the product was still within its warranty). They told me to send the product to them so they could investigate the problem which I did. After a couple of days I got a message a new product would be send to me within a week! Great service and making me confident in buying here again and recommend HobbyKing to my friends.

Placed an order for female JST battery connectors, male connectors arrived and the customer support refused to do anything about it. My order clearly states that female connectors were ordered, so does the invoice. Yet, since the store says female, but shows an incorrect picture of male connectors, my case was denied. Won't buy anything again from these clowns.
