Good service as always to me as communication is important and the front line is aware I am Deaf!

I have bed experience with staff i really don’t like to go back again

Georgina and Will at Thornton Heath branch were especially very good and helpful.

Not good customer service

I have been renovating my entire house and dealing with a number of different companies throughout the process. I’ve had smooth, professional experiences everywhere except with Howdens, specifically the Croydon branch.
My experience has been terrible from start to finish. The communication was consistently poor, and I have never come across customer service this bad. We were given incorrect measurements for some of the shelves, and every time we visited the branch to resolve the issue, no one seemed informed about anything. The standard answer to every question was essentially, “We don’t know.”
After endless back and forth, we finally received the correct replacement shelves. But as soon as that was resolved, another problem appeared , the strip lights that were meant to go under the shelves arrived missing all the necessary parts. I contacted them again and was told the missing parts would be delivered on Saturday. Of course, Saturday came and went with no delivery, and once again the branch had no idea what was going on.
We eventually had to go down to the store yet again to sort it out ourselves. Throughout all of this, the plans that were originally done by the person that was assigned to us turned out to be incorrect, and when we went in to try to resolve the issues today, she wouldn’t even come down to speak with us.
Overall, the service has been absolutely appalling. This has been the only company to cause problems during my entire renovation. Avoid this branch at all costs.

I have only really dealt with Wayne at this branch he always has time to run though things with my clients and he has always made sure everything was correct on the delivery what more can I ask for in a supply service

Staff service is excellent

Very good customer service at local branch, appointment arrangements were on time, was very satisfied with kitchen orders and products were.

Jazz and her team at Howdens croydon branch (Thornton Road) always are polite and ready to assist in anyway to satisfy their customers. I would give this branch 10-out of 10.

Opening an account was straight forward together we have supplied and fitted some beautiful kitchens that I am proud to show on my website looking forward to more business together

If I had the option to give 0 stars, I would – but unfortunately, that’s not possible.

I recently had a kitchen extension done and had to go with Howdens again. My experience 8 years ago was excellent – great discounts and top-notch service. Sadly, this time has been a complete letdown.

The manager told me their pricing structure had changed, so they couldn’t offer the same discounts. Fair enough – until my next-door neighbour told me Howdens were willing to match prices for them. They ended up ordering from another supplier. Lucky them.

In addition to the kitchen units, I also purchased doors, locks, latches, etc. Some items arrived incorrectly, others I changed my mind on – it was a lot of back and forth. The work was finally completed in November, but I’m still waiting for my refund. I’ve been chasing it almost every week since.

The manager is either extremely busy or simply inefficient – I honestly can’t tell. She doesn’t return my calls, and I haven’t been able to get through to anyone above her either.

My money is still stuck, and this entire experience has been incredibly frustrating.
I strongly advise others to stay away after this appalling service.

Not good customer service, . I got a better price in howdens crawley but here in croydon the person doesn't seems to be interested to do the business, saying he can't do any discount all discounts are done by the office which he clearly lied on my face and after few minutes he left in his car . Absolutely appaling service , the Asian guy with blue car.

While businesses need customers this customer made it difficult for us to buy in croydon, I will have to go crawley to pick up the order ,not very happy as a trader it will waste time . I told him I'm a new customer but he didn't seem to bother 🙄 😒
