IGN is terrible, and they have no idea what gamers are actually interested in. This company just hires middle-aged technologically challenged people with bad taste to write terrible reviews and seething hate for any game that actually contradicts these terrible reviews.

If you want an honest review, just go to YouTube or twitter for some live gameplay and see for yourself, because IGN is not relevant.

IGN reviews are a joke, no one takes you serious anymore. Now u beg to review Crimson Desert again haha. The more you hate Crimson Desert the more copies it sells.

Back in the day it was my go to source for gaming...now you can t take them seriously....

I'd give 0 starts if I could. You could put a monkey infront of the computer, let it play the game, let it write a review and it would be more accurate.

IGN should not exist anymore. They are bought and their reviews are manipulative. I will never trust them. We have social media now. Time to go, IGN.

IGN might make you think they are game journalists but they are not they have no understanding of video games whatsoever most of the journalists don't even know how to get past simple tutorials and are very often disingeneres when they critique something I believe with most of their reviews they get paid for them though I cannot prove this but it's what I believe and there's no law against saying what you believe

Generally I would never trust IGN as they are proven time and time again that they have no idea what they are talking about

IGN has become increasingly difficult to take seriously as a review outlet. What was once a trusted source for game criticism now often feels inconsistent, surface-level, and at times overly influenced by industry relationships.

One of the biggest issues is the lack of clear reviewing standards. Scores don’t always seem to align with the written critique, and similar games are judged by completely different criteria depending on the reviewer. This creates confsuion and makes it hard for readers to understand what a score actually represents.

There’s also a noticeable trend of playing it safe. Reviews rarely take strong, critical stances on major titles, especially big-budget releases. Instad, they often highlight positives while downplaying significant flaws, which undermines trust in their objectivity.

At this point, IGN works better as a general entertainment hub than a source of trustworthy, consistent game reviews.

No idea why ' IGN ' still even exist at this point, irrelevant - it's an mild term to describe it.

They give good reviews based on how "diverse" or woke a game is combined with how much a company pays them for promotion. Pathetic site that cares more about political ideology than game quality.

Basically don't believe anything they say. IGN is a sham. Do your own research and look to creditable reviews elsewhere.

Horrible and unstable website

They are irrelevant since a long time ago.

There is no ignorant without IGN in it.

IGN is incredibly disconnected, you only need to play the game they criticize to notice the gap right away. The tone shifts depending on the release, with big titles getting soft treatment while smaller ones get picked apart, it feels uneven and its hard to take it seriously. There are good writers there, no doubt, but the output lakcs consistency, you end up double checking everything elsewhere in the end. If you want honest reviews, find it from unbiased reviewers from youtube, do not rely on IGN.

Does not represent the public

I used to look forward to igns reviews back in the day, because they reviewed games and actually liked playing games.
Now they review political agendas.
Im convinced game scores are based on how much they get paid.
Failguard a 9? concorde and highguard (both shut down) a 7? then you got crimson desert that they gave a 6 because "story is rubbish" when it was never about the story and never advertised as so.

Its got to the point that whatever review they give gamers will actively assume the opposite because theyre completely out of touch. they shouldnt be one of the most popular game reviewers anymore because all they do is give false information. IGNorant.

Delusional reviewers that lost all the credibility of being gamers.

IGN once was a company I looked towards for gaming purchases. That time has long passed and they show their agenda clearly. Their writers are not gamers, they do not care about gamers anymore and it’s all politically charged nonsense. In this day and age, game journalists are no longer needed. Look to actual gamers on YouTube for honest reviews and let this company slowly fade away.

I wouldn't trust IGN to run a bath.
they are so disconnected from the things gamers actually want that it seems deliberate at this point.
they continuously shill for garbage games that end up not resonating with the audience and try and put down games that do resonate.
they gave concord a 7/10 and veilguard a 9/10 and we know how that turned out.
to even imply that veilguard and concord are better games than Crimson desert is insanity.
