⭐ 1-Star Review – Jesmond Paving

Unfortunately, my experience with Jesmond Paving has been extremely disappointing.

We agreed on a driveway project, paid approximately half of the agreed price upfront, and expected the work to be completed within a reasonable timeframe. Seven to ten days was the timescale given. Big issue within the first couple of days as the excavator went through the mains power cable to the house, leaving us without power for several hours. However, the project experienced repeated delays, despite our formally raising concerns about the lack of progress. The job remains incomplete on week 12 of works. We are left with basically a building site instead of a driveway. Promises to arrive to complete work repeatedly left unfulfilled.

Ultimately, the contractor withdrew from the project, leaving us with an incomplete driveway and the inconvenience of having to engage another company to finish the work. We have since received quotations of £7,000 and £12,000 to complete the resin section alone.

What is particularly frustrating is that we are now responsible for the additional cost, disruption, and uncertainty involved in completing a project for which we had already made a substantial payment.

I strongly recommend that anyone considering using Jesmond Paving carefully review our experience and ensure that they have comprehensive written agreements and appropriate protections in place before paying a substantial deposit. Use a company who are happy to be paid on completion of the work.

All contractors were punctual, professional and very detail-oriented.
They took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. They left the job clean and tidy, meaning limited mess entered the house. It is very clear they take pride in their work.

We highly recommend the Jesmond team. The recommendations received were very helpful and planning the work was good and expertly carried out. Our project involved removal of old paving, decking and fencing and replaced with a new concrete base, paving, fencing, gravel, sleepers for shoring up the bank behind and lighting. All this came in and out of the front door and across the hall. Everything was left very clean and we are delighted with our new patio. And the cost was a bit less than we expected.

Had my back garden done by Jesmond Paving. Completed in the time quoted, very reasonably priced and I am now over the moon with my new garden space. Highly recommend Sean and Team - 10/10

Jesmond Paving have worked on my parents house on 2 occasions. First was the front drive and they rang Sean straight back a couple months later when the back garden needed done. Absolutely delighted with the work. The lads were professional, punctual and a great laugh whilst doing their job. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else.
