What makes the experience great is the Academic Learning process, flexibility and the Scheduling.

The dashboard does not always reflect the assignments correctly when they are due. My child will log on in the morning then check back later on to see more assignments. As the learning coach I’ll check the night before see a variety of assignments and they disappear once my child logs on in the morning.

I honestly will not be turning back to in person school. Virginia Virtual is the best, have the best teachers and I love it for my kids.

Everyone ever troll academy has been amazing to my daughter.They've made the experience very fun and shes learning alot !

My son has attended K12 since kindergarten and he will be in the 6th grade next year! Not only has my son learned so much from K12, but he also understands what he is learning and that is so important to me as not only a learning coach but his Mom. The teachers have always been the best too!!

If a zero was an option I would give it. I pulled my daughter from in school because of bullying and her not waiting to go back. This school is a joke and the administration isn’t any better. Isn’t of helping the kids they keep belittling them constantly send an emails calling acting like parents don’t have other jobs and just sitting around doing their job. I would highly not recommend the school and at this point it probably needs to be shut down and reevaluated because this is ridiculous. They want to worry about kids missing work missing days but yet when my child is trying to get into class, she sits there for over 30 minutes before she is allowed in and then they want to say she was not even in the class

Horrible and impossible to enroll. They keep rejecting documents for no good reason and everyone gives you a different answer. They keep requesting Virginia scores for a child that never went to school in Virginia. Waste of time I enrolled my child in Connections Academy instead way better k12 school! Reviews are so bad they turned off their google option to leave a review that should tell you all you need to know!

We had to submit the documents over and over with no update or reason why they kept being denied. I had to call in to find out then the lady said well it’s here but they won’t want to look so submit it again. Then I do that and I call again because I keep getting emails to submit the documents and they say oh they are in the process of reviewing them and it should be done by 12.24. Nothing. I call again and they say well maybe it will be done by next week to start on 1.22. It’s the worst enrollment process I have ever seen. I just need yes or no so I can move on not dragging feet for a month or more. Very disappointed.

Mental heath difficulties caused my child’s grades to fall, so they are automatically ineligible. No inside or tests or assessments are allowed.

They told me my child’s application was reviewed by VDOE and the ineligibility approved by districts.

Theres a big problem with that. There’s no way that was true unless the VDOE and districts knew grades fell due to mental heath. I do not believe VDOE or any school district would do any such thing knowingly.

They wouldn’t speak with me, You can’t talk to anyone in admin. I really had to dig to find out why they were ineligible. Calls, texts… admin is guarded so much that speaking to state representatives directly are easier.

I could, however, get my child in this same program, but I have to pay out of pocket. Yes you read that correctly. I am free to put my child in K-12 and as long as I pay, there are no issues with admission at all. The free one via public schools though..no my child doesn’t qualify due to bad grades when they were struggling.

It’s discriminatory for children who are struggling with mental health or other condition that impacted their grades, yet they boast about how this online helps children with special needs.

Updated: See their reply to this below. It's true. If your child's grades fell due to mental health or physical... it doesn't matter. There are zero accommodations, other forms of testing... its just a hard discriminatory stop despite it being funded by public schools. For the same program, however (K-12) we can get our kids in as long as we pay the price.

My experience with Virginia virtual academy has been better than I expected, they've been helpful to my children and are always there when I have any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend them to any family that are looking for a safe, friendly, supportive, online platform.

We absolutely love VAVA. It has been such a blessing for our family. The program allows my son to learn at his own pace, which is so important given his disabilities. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and supportive with him, and they also guide me as a learning coach. Everyone at VAVA is always willing to help. We are truly grateful for all the support and understanding we receive.

My kids feel comfortable to study online

We have had a great experience with the school. We have been willing to work with us. I recommend children of all ages especially kids with special education needs

We are so blessed to have this k-12 online school as an option for my son. This is the future of education.

They teach well they give time to complete assignments and the answer emails in a timely manner.

We have been with K12 since Kindergarten. It has exceeded my expectations and I'm thankful for this school option.

I've been ill, but my daughter still did well. I appreciate the teachers for being so understanding.

Vava is the best. My son was with Vava from 6-12grade and he just graduated. The teachers and staff are amazing and always there to help. They have an excellent curriculum and extra activities for the students. It is above any expectation we had going into Vava. My son was very successful and learned so much from his time with Vava. I would recommend it to everyone.

My kids are learning, staying engaged, the teachers are great and caring. The flexible schedule is good, and my kids love VAVA.

Everyone is always so helpful, staff is knowledgeable and pace is great for the kids.
